I got confused cuz you darted around so fast in your settings and stuff that I wasn't quite sure what you were doing and saying. Plus which files you moved where and which you had to delete. Does this work with using a normal usb device to transfer files from one xbox to another? My case is I am transferring files from an older xbox with the older clip on hard drive to the new xbox with the internal hard drive. I moved the files, and the new one recognizes them, but says they're corrupted. Not sure if its cuz I used a usb device that wasn't clean and empty already. Does the usb have to be formatted specifically or something? Anyway, anything you can do to help me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
i am having a problem with currupted DLCs. and i cant redownload the DLCs because the game and DLCs are no longer available. but i have the DLCs backed up on my pc. amd use fatxplorer to transfer them to my 360 hard drive. it shows the DLCs as complete and good in fatxplorer. but in my 360 it shows them as currupted.

What does a corrupted file do besides disconnecting someone a lot? I tried looking it up but it won't give me what I need...and i'm worried if corrupt files consume memory.
Basically, it just has incorrect data written in the file. Even a simple 1 byte of data can be written as something that, when read, will cause the system to error because it doesn't know to what to do with the information

Awesome Fix! This worked great. You saved me! Hours of game time not wasted. I plugged in a flash drive. Saved my data and profile and then formatted the XBox drive and then put it all back on the XBox drive. Worked like a charm.

Unplugg your hard drive then start your xbox up then put it back in while xbox starting up if that don't work keep your hard drive unplugged then put USB in and transfer your account to USB

Minecraft has failed to load and cannot continue". then, I am automatically brought back to the 360 dashboard. it is really frustrating because it happens at random and I have know way of knowing when it will show up. I had a 360, had the same problem. Not even a corrupted profile, a corrupted update. Minecraft, the game I now HATE. My dad would not let me remove the profile from the console and redownload it. I stopped playing 360 when it got worse. A few weeks ago, my brother cleared out the whole 360 so we could give it to my niese. During the process, I found 3 other corrupted games. Dead Island, GTA IV, and something else (probably Minecraft). Now i will NEVER EVER buy Minecraft again.
How to fix PROBLEMS with corrupted files does NOT mean how to automagically restore corrupted files to their un-fucked glory. It simply means how to get past the problem of having a file with corrupted data that your system cannot read, not implying that you will get your old saves back.

Delete your profile of your storage BUT NOT THE ITEMS then download it back using your Microsoft account that you used. I accidentally deleted items as well and I just found out today that my minecraft worlds are all gone and I don't know how to get them back. After you download it back it should work just fine. I've had to do it 3-5 times and never had a problem.

All my Skyrim files were corrupted. I moved them all from my hard drive to a flash drive and it fixed the problem. 👍👍
