I was thinking of buying a digital night vision setup for cheap, especially since Russia is on our doorstep. They do require IR illumination.... Now you convinced me to order analog night vision. My family thanks you... my wallet does not. But then again... who cares about money when we are war and need to protect ourselves.. Thank you for this message because i was sure Russia wasnt that advanced in IR detection.
Yeeeeees!!! I love the amount of knowledge you guys have when it comes to different gear. Another video that I can watch OVER and OVER to dissect all the information from.
I bought a airsoft bump and a balistic gell head and tested it by subjecting it to heavy impacts of various types and i was extremely impressed about how it preformed. I got another and put team Wendy pads in it and I've been using it just over a year now
There are supremely expensive helmets out there that are actually rated to stop rifles directly, like the Avon/Ceradyne L110 Combat 2, the Arditi Level 3, the Striker RCH, and the Ulbrichts VPAM 6 helmets
@@johnmedlock5210 all of them with the exception of the Ulbrichts helmet are around 3-3.5 lbs, which is comparable to a PASGT helmet while offering rifle protection. The Ulbrichts offering is significantly heavier from what I can find.
I use my Contractor company- issued modernized PASGT, not as many options for ears but I like the greater coverage of protection. I want to know more about that rationale to why he doesn't like helmet covers lol, they're great for cable management, you can just tuck and feed everything under the helmet cover and nothing is sticking out, great mitigation of snagging.
+1 for no helmet cover. Reason: reduced weight, doesn't hold water, dust, etc., and also because it gets old really fast, taking the cover on and off to make changes to your gear for each mission.
@@philliplopez1501 You can get waterproof ones or DWR them so they don't saturate as easily and they're NIR rated (in large) over many types of rattle can (don't get me wrong, I love my rattle can on/ for stuff), I don't see how weight with a cover is an issue, they weigh almost nothing lol, guys are putting all kinds of stuff and counterweights on their helmets that exponentially increase the weight that strains on the neck.
@@philliplopez1501 not if you're gettin the helmet covers that are basically nets... the cover I have is literally like a netted clothes bag with velcro on it. That's it, very breathable, the lightest thing your goin to put on a helmet over say paint... impossible to hold water or excess heat, great for cable management, and most of them are camouflage for breaking up that solid color helmet.
Don’t cry, just grit your teeth😂. Seriously though I also run an Exfil SL, still swapped out some of the pads for the 4D deluxe to make it even more comfortable for me. If you’re looking to mount AMPs or using the AMP arms, in my experience (broke both multiple times) both the UNITY and TW adapters are trash. Just switched to Shooters101 OCAM mounts which are mostly metal: heavier but I can tell they won’t break after just a few LARPs.
Opscore and I believe team Wendy both sell a measuring/size kit so you can measure your head and figure out what size you need before you buy. That’s what I did when I bought my opscore ballistic
A 14 plus Crye night cap is such an awesome combo. Light weight, and easy to stow and conceal. Both easily fit in any jacket/cargo pocket. Highly underrated.
Traumatic brain injuries are not a joke They also come out of nowhere and result from anything Have a bump at a MINIMUM. Focus on brands that care about brain protection. Airsoft replicas are a gamble that I am personally not willing to take. Would rather have a skating helmet if I was that broke
I have one of their 2nd gen ballistic high cuts and I am not impressed, its a lot better than the ACH i was issued in the army but still you can almost tell it was assembled over seas. I only went with HHV because when you buy one of their helmets you get a bunch of discount codes for different gear like NVGs, ammo , safes etc... If you want 500$ of nvgs than go HHV if you want a nicer helmet go with ops core or team wendy
@@barrelandhatchet hopefully they last longer then the garandthumb recce rig. Like less then 8 hrs. I went to sleep they where out of stock. When I was a UH-60 crew chief, I used duck-taped/rolled pennies as a counter-weight. Worked like a charm
You guys are killing it! Always amazing content!
Stainless steel hardware is a good option for a DIY counterweight, it won’t rust if you get it wet
stainless steel multi-tools give more use then a bag of bolts but are definitely less adjustable for mass

I've heard from vets that Team Wendy is the best liner (most comfortable) for long term wear).

When you start talking about looks, I start Tune.out
Do you guys like the SOHAH / CVC style? Seem to be pretty good option for the money.
Hmm send us a link. Unfamiliar with the acronym
Or if you're a poor like me, you use an NOS PASGT with in ear hearing protection tied into the suspension. 😅
Remember,
NIJ does not account for back face deformation.
Good work!

Ballistic Devtac ronin is my go to but bump is opscore or tw
I remember when a operators helmet consist of a mich, ms2000, and homemade counter weight, people have so much junk strapped to their buckets now
Kinda looks cool when you have just the mount with no nvgs on them. Oddly gives me the mark V recon vibes from halo reach.
Random question with Jtac range closing where are you going to host classes now?
Are those 100 Concepts scope covers on those dual tubes?
The Ops Core RF1 supposedly stops 762.
What do you guys think about Ace Link Armor Special Mission Gen 2 helmets for the concerned citizen?
Great video, dudes. Sub'd
Much appreciated!
is team wendy a bell fit or a TLD/alpinestar fit? I cant wear bell.
Hey guys, what NON suppressor muzzle device do you guys like, while using nvg?
Standard bird cage works great. Or a any surefire flash hider.
I recommend a Surefire warcomp with a Surefire warden
@@dt8694that's dumb. Just get a 3 prong or a suppresor. Why get a warcomp and combine it with an inferior flash hider.
Are the lens caps on the rnvgs 100 concepts?
They are prototypes from them
