Now, you know that I have to make this right? Sounds delish! Thanks for being part of Canuary 2023
That's what I say after every Canuary video!
This sounds so good. I’m a new canner, but I have learned so much from my friends on utube that I feel confident. Thank you.
Thank you to all the canners in the collaboration! Even though I'm an avid canner, I look forward to it!
I am learning so much from Canuary! Pork Salsbury steak? Who knew? It sounds so yummy with mushroom & onion gravy! Oh I also love that you include things from your garden. Thank you for participating in Canuary!
This is something I will be putting on my shelf! Thank you Linda!
Thank you for the different take on the Salisbury Steak It should be awesome to try. Thanks to Suttonsdaze and Forjars for bringing us a great Canuary.
I always think of eating the little TV dinners in the foil trays when I have Salisbury steak. It was my favorite. You triggered a happy memory. 😂❤
Lol, me too!!😋
Thank you Linda for this video and participating in Canuary! I would never think to make Salisbury steak with pork! Clove and Cinnamon were a surprise. I can't wait to try this recipe and get it canned up on my shelf! 😊
Mrs. Linda, you always have such nice and refreshing, change of pace ideas!
THANKS for sharing this one, with us!
I can see making this a two day process, because I can broil the bones until dark brown, and throw them in the crock pot, covered in water, over night. Then I will have the broth for canning!
:-) My daughter always says " slap, pop, mmmmm" when she puts a ForJars lid on our jars because you slap it on, it pops when it seals and everything's tastes so delicious we say mmmmmm. ❤ I love your idea to can the smaller size for lunches! Imagine if all the mamas out there canned a little extra few serves for their lunches instead of forgetting themselves...BRILLIANT IDEA! ❤
I can't believe after all these years, you still have canning ideas I have not seen. You are the one that got me into canning. Thank you, thank you.
Yay Canuary! Come on ForJars Lids!
What a nice addition to have a meal ready-made. Looks delicious😋 Enjoying all Canuary Recipes of 2023. 🙂
Love the idea of canning Salisbury steaks! Texturally, they are supposed to be soft and tender anyways…so my family won’t be disappointed with “mushy-ness” 😂 Thanks for the inspiration and thanks to Suttons Daze for putting together a great collaboration ❤
Hello Linda, never heard of Pork Salisbury steaks! But boy oh boy do they look absolutely Devine, yes, topped with some onion and mushroom gravy, I'm totally drooling 🤤.
So super happy about this CANUARY COLLABORATION!!
Y'all are really putting out some new and must have recipes! Thank you again for participating and many thanks to @Sitton Daze our gracious Host, and @Forjars for sponsoring it.. what a thoughtful and kind gesture. Many Blessings
That is so nice of you to do the gift basket and gift card give away ...You are so kind and caring. Thank you!
This lady is always all about building flavor. I could just their doubt and watch this channel for an entire weekend.Who would’ve ever thought about Salisbury steak in a jar? Not me but I guess that’s why I’m a subscriber. Absolutely love this and can’t wait to make it myself. Thanks for sharing! Julie
Oh my goodness! This one will be added to my canning schedule for this year. Looks delicious. How can you go wrong with adding the warm spices and garlic!! Thanks Linda for this great recipe. Thanks to all contributors, Leisa at Sutton's Daze and ForJars for this amazing collaboration!
I thought salisbury steak was made with beef, but after seeing this video, I believe I'll try this recipe. I actually prefer pork over beef, and not just for the cost savings. Most beef you get from the supermarket is tasteless anymore. Great video. Thank you to all involved in this years Canuary collabration.
I thought it was beef as well.
She did say you could do a 50% pork 50% beef mix.
I am another one- I thought it was beef, I remember it from old school TV tray dinners😊.
This is on my to do list. Thanks for sharing and thanks to all participating in Canuary. I have learned a lot.
It is traditionally beef. Also, this isn't actually a Salisbury Steak recipe, it is the Quebec Meatballs recipe from... I think she said the Ball Canning Book? The ingredients are very different from traditional Salisbury Steak though. Honestly, this version sounds better than the traditional if you ask me! I can't wait to try it!
What a yummy looking recipe!
I like the small single servings and loved the teaching on the cost effectiveness and simplicity of cutting and grinding our own sausage. Thank you
I finally got around to doing this. I did half pints with a few mushrooms and chopped onion added in. I haven't tried it yet, but it's lookin' good! I used a wide mouth lid lined with Saran wrap to make the patties and that worked really well. It was a suggestion from one of your subscribers who watched the meat grinding video! Don't you just love the canning community? So much to share and learn!
Wow! This looks amazing! I could almost smell this through my screen. LOL I'll be canning this up for sure. I love that you include the "single serve" or "smaller serving" ideas for us empty nesters out here! Thank you Linda!
I agree!
Fantastic!
Thank you, this is a must try recipe. Thank you forjars and all who participated in Canuary. My 1st year watching Canuary, love it!
“Garlic is never an option”, 😂 Agree! Looks great! I’m not sure why I haven’t ever thought to do Salisbury steak. On the list it goes…
Thank you Linda! Salisbury steaks was my favorite meal growing up but my mom just bought them frozen…it never dawned on me to actually make them and preserve them! And to have the small individual servings would be so very convenient. I’m learning so much from this collaboration…my list is growing of new things to try. What an inspiration. Blessings to you and Leisa at Suttonsdaze and For Jars for sponsoring this fun project.
Love canning 🎉
This recipe is a game changer for my family. We have a farm and I have a difficult time feeding my boys when they come in from work, change their clothes, and go running out the door again. I could put some of these jars by the back door and they could grab one on the way out. At least I know they are getting a healthy meal (and made with love and care 😉). Such a WIN! Thank you so much for sharing! So happy about the Canuary event to find my newest mentors!
I always think of beef for Salisbury steak, but this pork version sounds delicious! Thank you for sharing this with us. Thank you to everyone involved in this year's collaboration - I am getting so many new ideas and loving it!
Absolutely love Salisbury steak! but I never had it using pork, looking forward to trying this recipe thank you Linda❤️
I always have done mine with beef. I can’t wait to try it. Hope yours is a winner.
Wow! I have never seen a recipe for Salisbury steak using pork. Love love love we are learning so much and being exposed to new recipes. Yay for Canuary! Thank you for taking your time to share with us Linda!
These are my favorite videos of the year!! You guys should do another month of videos showing the different ways to use the different items you can!
This is one to put on my list of "soon to be canned" It sounds amazing. Thank you to all those that are participating in this years Canuary. Love the recipes.
Salisbury steak was my favorite dish growing up, I cannot wait to try this! ❤
love how canning at home we know what is going into our food! 35:01
I love the idea of being able to do patties in jars, that is a game changer!!
I have canned Salisbury steak using ground beef chuck. It's all gone now but was really good. And I broke all the canning rules doing it (I was new to canning then) but it didn't kill anyone 🤐 This sound like a very interesting recipe. suggestion: When you put your lids in the hot water, alternate their direction (seal side up, seal side down, etc.) and the lids won't stick togetherl
Thats how I stack the lids when I am canning also.
I didn't realize grinding your own meat was so easy. I will definitely be purchasing an attachment. I also agree you can never have enough garlic...or parsley! I can't wait to try this recipe!
I am really happy to have seen small servings being canned. Thank you!
thanks Linda, good quick meal in a jar!
Holy cow I'm so glad you did the smaller jars too. My Dad and Daughter laughed when I got so excited when I found a deal on smaller jars. I started canning meats in them, and they said "she's making single serves for camping and hunting". Yes! Yes I was! Haha
I'm so excited to add this recipe to my rotation as well. Thank you so much 😁❤️
Loved watching the little photo bomber in the back following the meat back and forth with his (or her's) eyes lol. Thanks so much for doing this video. I've never made homemade salisbury steak and I'm almost 60. Apparently you can teach an old dog a new trick!
😂 I had to go back to see, I can’t believe I hadn’t noticed! 🐶
My son is a truck driver. I'm always looking for recipes for meals in a jar to fix for him. He will love this !
Didn't know pork could be used for Salisbury steak thank Linda Canuary I great thanks to Forjars and Leisa at Suttondaze
Every time think of Salisbury steak, I always think beef. This looks like an adventurous try. I have a pork butt in my deep freeze and now I want to try this. Looks delish. Watching all you Canuary canners makes me want to can everything. I got a lot of inspiration. Thank you 😊
Definitely a must to put in my pantry! I usually do 2/3 beef and 1/3 pork when cooking any beef. Pork adds so much flavor but onions, garlic and spices, oh my, so delicious. I like the idea of single serving especially for my husband for lunch also great for a quick dinner. Thank you to everyone for this collaboration, especially Leisa and For Jars. I look forward to every video!
Linda is one of my favorites to watch!! Thank you for everything!
My husband is going to go nuts for this! He used to eat it in TV dinners, but we've moved away from all processed food. I just happen to have a pork butt in the freezer. Yay!
I loved seeing the puppy watch your every move as you carved up that roast! What a sweet face! I'm new to canning and never dreamed that ground meat patties could be canned. Thanks!
Love all these canning proteins videos. I haven't been brave enough to try yet, but this is encouraging me.
Mmmm Salisbury steak
Prep a day can a day, sounds like a great plan! I am literally drooling here as you prep this pork but for canning. Salisbury steak that I can have on the table in a few minutes! Love it.
That looks so yummy! I love salisbury steak and to have it canned will be so convenient. I especially love that you are showing the single serving jars. Thank you!
This recipe looks so good, thank you Linda, Leisa and Forjars
I luv Salisbury Steak, this is the perfect size in pint jars. Can't get enough.
I love Salisbury steak . I usually buy the frozen meals now because of you I will be trying your recipe ❤
Thank you, Linda
Giveaway will be january 31 at 7:00 PM. Good luck everyone. A lady friend of mine gets her deer every year and she sends it out to get butchered and the place adds special herbs or whatever and it has to set for a while and then frozen and it is so good. I always thought it was just hamburger, but its not. He uses some pack of spices you can buy. You are amazing and thank you so much.
My husband bought me a meat grinder last year for my birthday but we’ve never used it. Might have to break it out for this😊
As far as your blades it’s always great to have a non electric backup I think.
The ground meat looks fantastic! Would it overwork the meat too much to use the kitchen aid with the paddle?
Wow how pretty they look! I want to try this for sure. Thanks 😊
Thanks again to Leisa and forjars for sponsoring.
Can’t wait to see the recipe 😊
I've subscribed for years. I'm glad you're joining Canuary.
This looks amazing. Something new on the shelf. CANary is so inspiring!!
We love Salisbury Steak. Love this idea. Thank you.
Yet Another wonderful video Linda!! Regardless if you use pork or beef.. Im sure its amazing.. I will be putting this on my canning bucket list!! Thanks again for being involved with this years Canuary Collab!! Thanks Leisa and Forjars!!
Oh my! This sounds amazing. I'm always looking for new, convenient meals. Thank you.

Another great canning session with Linda. I love watching your videos. Thank you for sharing your recipe!
Awesome! Something new to consider and can! Thank you. In the middle of canning quarts of mega drumsticks, haha! Peace
You are adorable. I'm glad I found you through this Canuary!
Sounds wonderful!
I have BOTH the Presto pressure canner AND the All American 921. I was so blessed to have found the All American canner on Facebook marketplace for $140 from a resale shop. Also found a dehydrater(Excalibur) on marketplace for only $75 from a lovely lady who was moving and didn't want it any more.
Thank you Linda, this is going on my to do list. Looks wonderful
Thank you, Linda....another great idea for ready-to-go meals. This Canuary has given me ideas for easy to grab and pack “camper” meals, so when hubby says “How long do you need to get the camper ready?” I can say “Give me 10 minutes” -!!!
It's nice to have another ready to eat meal, we love easy
I don't get a thing done the month of January. I watch canning videos all day. ☺️
That’s a great recipe to pour over mashed potatoes or rice. Thanks for participating in Canuary! God bless
Thank you for sharing this recipe. And thank you Forjars
I love your idea of the the little portion size jars...perfect for my 84 year old mother. Thank you 😊
Love the thought of canning meatballs. Thank you for showing me this.
This was truly a fascinating process. Thanks for showing me how to cut the meat, grind and mix with all those great ingredients. You were great as well. Great Canuary video

I am learning so much from everyone this Canuary! Thank you for sharing this great recipe
Thank you for your part in the canning. I like your recipe and have ideas of trying it myself. Without canning my family wouldn't be able to survive. Thanks again
❤I 💘 love your videos... God Bless You Miss Linda.❤❤
Linda, great idea. I've pressure canned meatballs in broth, starting the raw meatballs on a baking sheet in the oven and found that they really do hold their shape in the jar (who knew?). I would have run right past the recipe in a book and not thought about it. But after seeing your video I'm interested to try it! Appreciated the step-by-step process. Thank you for following this up with a "jar opening" video. Seeing how well the patties came out cinched it for me!
Thanks Linda! I use to watch Susan at I'm Still Workin' too (miss her a lot) I tried this canning recipe when she first showed it on video! It is delicious! Had forgotten about it so I'm thankful you reminded me of how good it is to have on the shelf! Glad you're part of Canary again this year - wouldn't be the same without you!
I got hungry just watching you make that.
Now I have to do it because I love salsberry steak - oh yes I do!
This looks absolutely delicious. With the high price of beef this is a winner !
These would sure be nice to have on hand for a quick meal! I'm getting so many great ideas from Canuary. Thanks for your contribution!
I never knew you could do this and my husband just brought 6 pork roasts home that were 98 cents a pound so now i know what im doing with some of them, we love Salisbury steak and with 4 of us i know it wont go to waste! Thank you so much!
Wow! This looks amazing! Those would make such an easy and quick supper, thank you for sharing!
You gave me a wonderful idea!!! Have a family recipe of beef patties that I now know can be canned!!! How amazing it will be 😍 Thank you Lisa 🙏🏻
I was distracted by the adorable dog waiting for something to drop on the floor lol.
Thank you for sharing your time and ideas with us! Loving 2023 Canuary!!
Hooray for ForJars! I love Canuary.
