Thank you Gethin! I have plenty of ideas to bring to the channel over the coming year and really hope you enjoy what I have in mind. I hope you and your family have had a great Christmas mate and have a great New Year!
The trail race sounds like a true nightmare 😂 my ankles rolled just thinking about it. Tbf I’m sure you’ll have a complete blast. Sounds like a jam packed year, should make for some exciting YT content. Looking forward to kick starting it all with you Saturday 💪🏃
Its not actually a race 😀 it's more of a guided trail run. They have 2 groups for different paces that set off in opposite directions on a looped route so you meet halfway (ish) round. And its a case of everyone runs together. So we can take our time and enjoy it, taking pictures amd filming bits as we go. Part of my goal for 2025 is to enjoy running purely for the love of running whilst also achieving new time goals through the year. If the first trail run goes well then I'm sure there will be others. 🤞 I can't wait for Saturday mate. Feels like a race week, along with race nerves too. Hopefully we can pull off something special. 🏃♂️💨🤞
A 10 mile trail run sounds like bliss. I could go for that right now 😊 Best of luck with all of your plans for the year. I'm sure AI will see you right, if you catch it on a good day 😅
Thanks Mark! The prompts I've been working on aim to try and overcome some of those issues with AI being a bit inconsistent. It is't perfect, but I would like to offer it as a tool for people to try for themselves (subject to applying the rule of common sense, of course). All the best for the new year mate 👍
Thanks Jase. The run is supposedly on well established trails so time will tell 🤞 We'll be filming on the day though, so you'll see in a couple of weeks how bad it gets. All the best for the new year mate. 🎉
Lots to look forward too in 2025. New goals and targets 🎯 ... didnt know you couldn't record at cross country 🤔... make sure you've got good grip on the trail events... waterproof socks might be useful 👌😁
I think different leagues have their own take on it but I'm fairly sure red rose has a no camera rule for competitors. Things might change next year, so i'll double check and see what can be done. There will be other things going in the calendar too once I've had a good look through the schedule. Oh, and thanks for the tip on waterproof socks. I'll have to take a look 👍
@TheRegularRunner grip on the mudd too. Especially in winter. I have a dry/summer trail trainer and a wet/snow/mudd grip pair in my rotation. May seem excessive but I do a lot of trail as up in hills and they make a big difference and stop me injuring myself, ive made the wrong choice on occasion and paid for it 😆👍
I do have some decent trail shoes from Innov8 with nice chunky grip on them, I've just never really put them to proper use. But we will be going very careful when we try the trail runs to begin with until we get used to it as I imagine it'll be a new skill that we'll need to get used to.
@@letscrafttogetherdiy4989 That's great to hear! Do you have any goals in mind for those races? I'm not quite there in my running journey to commit to a full marathon yet. I've run 3 HMs so far and they have all been followed by some kind of minor injury, so more work is required to consider racing longer distances. Good luck with your race plans this year!
@TheRegularRunner I’m not that far on my running journey either. I did do a sub 25 5k at Peel ParkRun next to (Salford Uni) September time last year, but that course is significantly flatter than the Angina Hill at Heaton Park; though behind the football pitches can get pretty muddy on the wetter days. I’d like to go sub 4 hours on the full marathon and under 1:45 on the half. I did the Manchester half in October just gone, but it was on the back on an injury so took it really easy and went around in just over 2 hours. Getting ever closer to a sub 50min 10k, but a sub 20min 5k seems a very very long way off yet. Keep up the good work and good luck with all your challenges! You Got This!!!
Always interesting to see other countries and runners park runs, thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you for watching! I'm really glad you found it interesting 🙂 wishing you all the very best for the new year
Congrats on a brilliant video, sounds like 2025 is going to be a great year for yourselves!! Happy new year to you and your family. 🙌🙌

That looked a lumpy course 🥵. But scenic also. Good to hear of the plans for 2025✊
Thanks mate. I'm looking forward to seeing how kuch progress can be made in 2025. All the best for the New Year to you and your family!

I’m also doing the Manchester Half in October, but got the Full in April to get around first!

@@TheRegularRunner Clicked reply but it didn’t seem to tag you in?
@@letscrafttogetherdiy4989 they sound like some pretty solid goals. Best of luck out there this year. Keep me posted on how you get on!
@@letscrafttogetherdiy4989 oh, and don't worry about the tag. I still get the notification 🙂
