Hej Jacqueline. Thank you very much for all your driving videos and tips. You are definitely one of the best driving instructors who always pay the utmost consideration on driving safety. I finally passed my driving Practice test after 2 attempts because I applied many of your teachings including: 1,2,3,4 and back ... 😂 (driving scanning and the use of mirror methodology). Many Thanks once again.
Thank you for making drivers ed videos, Ms. Jacqueline. As a beginner, your valuable pointers help me a lot. It is amazing how you are able to anticipate what every novice driver needs to know. I can see that each video you put up is well-thought of and perfectly executed. Even your way of talking, the sound and tone of your voice and the way you smile every now and then alleviates my anxious mind. I am pretty sure you are an excellent driving instructor. Keep doing what you do as it makes a world of difference to every aspiring motorist.
I did my driving lessons as a 16 year old in California many years ago. Quite a few things stuck with me. But funny, I remember my instructor taught us to not rely on the mirrors. Or that’s what I remember, anyway. One day I realised that I don’t use the side mirrors nearly enough! Ive been more aware of that since that realization 😅
On my first time driving I didn't know how to use the mirrors or check the blind spot and didn't check nearly enough. I probably should have watched this video before 😅 this video is very helpful
Watching your videos comforts me when i am trying to learn driving but when i come behind the steering wheel it fears me to dead to increase speed above 20 miles per hour ,i wish if you are there beside me to teach in the car.
Lane changes, that’s another thing which stuck! To establish lanes before making a change. In Southern California people don’t seem to do this anymore, what are they now teaching in Driver’s Ed? After many years overseas in a relaxed country, I’m now really scared to drive in San Diego 😞
In my cars and light trucks, I have always adjusted my side mirrors so that I don't have blind spots. I don't need to see what's directly behind me through my side mirrors. Of course I make an exception in a truck that doesn't have the windshield mirror, provided the side mirrors have "fish-eye" mirrors.
In my country Jakarta so many motor cycle and rush driver, it will be challenging for driver from first country like USA. By the way I enjoyed learn from you.❤
Hi Zutobi! Do you guys have any videos on the pedals? I'm a beginner and I'm afraid I will use too much pressure or wont be fast enough braking in 3 point turns, etc
one instructor said to do 10:90. that is, 10% car door, 90% outward. I find it adequate. also make sure the horizon is visible right at the center of the mirror.
@@glowiever I just extend mine right out - I can't even see a trace of my car door. I find this is the best for my car. I can see a car in my rear view mirror and then it goes to my side mirror - Perfect.
So when you check your rearview mirror and see the cars headlights is that the cat directly behind you that your talking about or the car in the lane that you want to switch to ?
Hi Jackie ❤️ thanks for your good teaching and for sharing good knowledge❤❤💕, I just started following you and iam getting my driving classes her in DK,hope 🤞🤞I get my licence 🙂
I for one use the blind spot mirrors so that I don't have to turn the head over my shoulder to do the check. I think that taking your eyes of the road is better to be avoided.
Sorry the following is for my own reference time slots: 😅 7:50 only lane changing if you can see in the rear mirror the headlights of the car behind. 10:17 start to drive is equal to lane change, and pull over, too.
techinicallly your right passenger side mirror is set to far inside. you should not see any part of your car unless your leaning over to the right. Same applies to left driver side mirrors, you will greatly reduce your "blind spots" i will not get into poor hand positioning should be 9 and 3. Turns without shuffling the wheel, use hand over hand creates a better turn.
I was hoping this vid would cover proper adjustment of L and R mirrors. I can't get wife and daughter to understand that they're not for staring at the doors on the car, but rather they're supposed to be aimed a bit outwards. With proper adjustment, and monitoring the rear-view and side mirrors carefully, you know if someone is in blindspot and there's no need to turn entire head to look at blinds spot...
