  • Hookah Tobacco does not burn, ergo it does not release anywhere near the same amount of toxins and nicotine as cigarettes or cigars. In fact, under standard use, it is impossible to get the tobacco to burn. When using shisha, all we do is generate the bare minimum amount of heat in order to release the flavor and clouds. Know the difference.

Also, I’ve never smoked cigs or cigars. I see cig smokers and vapers needing to smoke all day long. I have never felt like “I NEED a hookah right now or I’m gonna feel weird or get sick”. If I’m sick or my family is sick I don’t have to smoke. I feel the same. Cig and vape smokers can’t take a few days off. They NEED the nicotine hit. It’s just different

I accept the risk when smoking cigars, pipes, or shisha. I know it is objectively better to not smoke anything. I've also seen what goes into cigarettes since I was a kid lol. I just crave the flavor of certain shishas and the experience. Its possible a day comes where it doesn't interest me as much anymore but for now its great and in all honesty I don't even finish bowls. I might smoke 2-3 a day, but I'm probably changing out the flavor and ditching the roasted shisha before a full bowl is even smoked. I'd be curious what they would consider a 'bowl' to be in terms of not just grams, but longevity. Do you have a link to this study?

They must be comparing the volume of 1 cig vs 1 bowl of shisha? But that’s a flawed comparison. Obviously smoking isn’t good for your body. I’d never say smoking hookah is good for your health. But it’s clearly not as bad as cigs. I’ve never seen any long term hookah smokers with a tracheotomy. We really do need a real scientific study and I think the hookah community should do it.

Yes, yes, and yes! We need better science!

Look at the way they over packed their chillum and set the vacuum up at Max power for the entire hour. That's recipe to burn the top layer and keep it going there by releasing more carcinogens.
With that kaloud filter, i wonder?
