Firstly I adore the feathered blazer/jacket that Brandon wears!! It is so glamorous and glitzy and he pulls it off so well!! *rock it brandon* :) as for his personality - i heart his personality on and off stage! he can be shy and introverted in front of cameras and with ppl, but i believe his music speaks of the person inside!! he expresses his inner "power" and "loud/bubbliness" through the songs. which i admire. plus, it helps that he is a sweetheart and an absolute cutie! love his laugh.
I think one reason Ronnie and Brandon are somewhat awkward is because of the intense media backlash Brandon experienced during Sam's Town over his comments about other bands and his change in appearance. They learned to be guarded around the press. I think that's why Ronnie says "We aren't going to b!%ch about that." Otherwise, a story will come out after the interview entitled "The Killers Are Offended By Gay Rights Protestors"
aww, I thought this interview was kinda cute. Brandon is so quite and shy. I think people say he's awkward in interviews because they are expecting him to be loud, bubbly and have a big personality because of the songs he sings/writes. But he's reserved and somewhat introverted.
also i fricken wish i went to the show, its soo close to my house, its ridic. like the environment is so intimate i love the interviewing atmosphere. great interview, he asked questions i would want to know.
I just want to say regarding the words "are we human, or are we dancer?". It comes from a quote that Hunter S. Thompson once made stating that "America is raising a bunch of dancers." Hope that clears it up for some.
You gotta realize, they're forced to do interviews. Gotta do tons o' press. Hundreds of them, to hear the same stupid questions. THey're not salesmen, they're musicians.
I don't think it was their worst interview, really it was just toward the end that they really didn't answer the questions. I do have to point out that after all of the interviewers I've seen the guy doing the interview had good questions. Everyone should also note that The Killers have said in some other interview that there not the best speakers, so I think they did decent.
OKAY I do not know what you people are talking about when you say it was awkward. I was trying to notice it but it was totally fine. It just wasn't flamboyant and joke-y but that's no biggie. the Killers
you guys hate on the interviewers but comparably this one did well. you have to keep in mind that they have viewers who dont know of the band, thats what the interview is directed towards. there has to be generic questions always because not like us, the hardcore fans, we know the answers but new viewers dont.
after doing some research apparantly the reason people were protesting the killers over prop 8 was because flowers is a devout mormon. nothing more, he never made any controversial remark (which is what i thought at first, i mean it is brandon flowers). The Mormons have been in a bit of a cold war with the gay community. if I'm wrong here and brandon did say something in regards to prop 8, somebody please correct me. I am very curious as to what this is all about
They must have been tough to interview, but it doesn't seem to phase George. Anyway, I think being good a interviews is more a plus for musicians, and shouldn't be essential. Look at Dylan...he barely says a word during concerts, it's his music people go to see.
the killers make great music and i always stand against anyone who has critcism to say aboutt the killers. but interveiws are just not meant for the killers, they always end up pretty ackward but i still love watching them.
reading some of the comments about the interviewer and the killers, they are known for being really shy and private in interviews on the other hand and no offence meant to the interviewer, they do have fun and are not boring, eg the jimmy kimmel skits and some of their music videos i think he just wasnt their type of interviewer. i found this interview incredibly uncomfortable! killers are completely awesome though! :)
plus, the interviewer is kinda asking dumb questions, yes, brandon had his influences but each of the rest of them had theirs and i just don't get why people thought sam's town was a step back. Also, just cause human has a techno sound and people thought mr brightside was dancy, they think the two records are the same? whatever, their concerts speak for themselves. wish i could get a ticket for less than $100...
I still think they'er great but never nearly as great as hot fuss was. my friend stepped on that cd adn i flipped. their rythms seemed more creative in hot fuss, sam's town sounded like a well made and sellable album, hot fuss just rocked it.
Brandon is for equal rights. He was not for prop 8 but he is Mormon. He has said many time that many of his heroes are gay he thinks every should be equal.
so..what you dont have a "personality" unless your loud and abnoxious!? IM gonna have to agree with other fans, that their music exudes more personality than most people that i meet on a daily basis. So much of how we judge people is based on comedy and attention grabing banter that means nothing, while sinseriry and honesty and unabashed sensation realization gets dubbed boring, because everyone has ADD and no one cares about anybody anymore! §
Dear Sir or Madam I love The Killers. Human, Mr. Brightside, When You Were Young, and Somebody Told Me are all wonderful songs. But please do not limit yourself to just one band. Do not stop enjoying the work of The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Green Day, MGMT, Paramore, Adele etc. in favor of just one band when you can enjoy all good music from good bands/artists.
@DsReLaXc1 uh, he is also such a geek. whats with these lamely put "what have you learnt about certain parts of the world", "riskier?" questions. uncomfortably pseudo-profound.ugh.
I enjoy the Killers, so I'm not trolling, but that jacket Brandon's wearing is hideous. Also, when I found this vid I was looking forward to hearing their thoughts, but I gotta say, boring! I guess I'll just go back and listen to Brightside.
Britney Spears... pre-packaged talentless pop star. Me a fan? No way. Try Chili Peppers, Dave Matthews, Incubus, Alice in Chains, Jimi Hendrix... It seems you just haven't fallen off the Panic bandwagon yet. Everyone else has... maybe they were onto something.
I love Brandon Flower interviews. So precious. I'm glad he's quiet.
stroumboulopoulos....
cant be many fond school memories for him
"the pages are empty, let's just color 'em" You can always count on Brandon for a creative metaphor.
Firstly I adore the feathered blazer/jacket that Brandon wears!! It is so glamorous and glitzy and he pulls it off so well!! *rock it brandon* :)

6:49 Battle Born :))
Funny how they throw "Battle Born" out there in this interview.
10:11 was the cutest thing I've ever heard.
at times sooo painful. thank god for george. he's the best!
I think one reason Ronnie and Brandon are somewhat awkward is because of the intense media backlash Brandon experienced during Sam's Town over his comments about other bands and his change in appearance. what kind of comments about other bands and his appearence?
aww, I thought this interview was kinda cute. Brandon is so quite and shy. I think people say he's awkward in interviews because they are expecting him to be loud, bubbly and have a big personality because of the songs he sings/writes. But he's reserved and somewhat introverted.
Battle born is the name of their studio. They named the 4th album after the studio.
also i fricken wish i went to the show, its soo close to my house, its ridic.
like the environment is so intimate i love the interviewing atmosphere. great interview, he asked questions i would want to know.
"i dont know if i can be called a rockstarrr..."
and the laugh after.
agree, big time!
I just want to say regarding the words "are we human, or are we dancer?". It comes from a quote that Hunter S. Thompson once made stating that "America is raising a bunch of dancers." Hope that clears it up for some.

I fell asleep last night during this interview last night and thought I'd check it out today.
Now I no why I fell asleep lol
i was just thinking that too
That interviewers last name is pure GENIUS!! x) It always reminds me of umpa-lumpa's for some reason
Brandon did form the band he put an add in the news paper.
@MsKayCTV
what are tk really known for is Mr Brightside. stm was big as well but mr b is what really got more acclaim for the band.
the killers are definetly going to the rock n roll hall of fame!!
I don't know what you guys are talking about...I think it was just fine!
he asked really good questions that most interviewers avoid asking to rock stars
i think George S. holds great interviews.
Did he really describe Las Vegas as 'not exactly a rock and roll hotspot'?!
brandon looks adorable♥
@patrickdurden you're witty
Battle Born is part of the motto for the state of Nevada.
did he say "its brandon its ryan. it the killers" ??
sure.
The Hour Blows....
george's last name is awesome
What happened in prop 8? Whay did they protest? What were they protesting?
The interview isn't an hour
wuts that thing brandon is wearing??
ME TOOO WOOOOOOOO
I don't think it was their worst interview, really it was just toward the end that they really didn't answer the questions. "He beat me up over lyrics."
"Literally?"
"Well, no."
lol!
I don't know.. but say the name of the birds and how many, I'm going bird hunting for my own bird blazer
haha yes I love it too. it kind of makes them who they are :)
why people don't like bird blazer??? i'm adoring it *:*
you guys hate on the interviewers but comparably this one did well. you have to keep in mind that they have viewers who dont know of the band, thats what the interview is directed towards. there has to be generic questions always because not like us, the hardcore fans, we know the answers but new viewers dont.
They're quite shy on interviews. But what the heck, they're The Killers because they wanna sell songs not interviews.
did ronnie really go to york university?
i cant believe you can actually have a life in las vegas, i cant imagine the fun they must have had
Bad interview...
Completely awkward, and does he call Ronnie 'Ryan' at the begining?
Brandon is so adorable! :)
after doing some research apparantly the reason people were protesting the killers over prop 8 was because flowers is a devout mormon. nothing more, he never made any controversial remark (which is what i thought at first, i mean it is brandon flowers). ποιος ειναι αυτος? πρωτη φορα τον ακουω

no one does care any more. your right. i used to like the killers untill they made their new album.
Brandon's jacket is Killer! (No pun intended! :)
hahahahaha!! Now that you mention it...I didn't notice until I saw your comment. hahaha..I'm still laughingXD
They were a little sick, correct me if i'm wrong.
yeah, it's a greek surname!!! I' m from Greece too!!! ;)
brandon and ryan?
ronnie...
i don't get why so many people call it boring -- i love brandon and ronnie awkwardness.
I didn't like the interviewer, though.
i swear he said Ronnie
reading some of the comments about the interviewer and the killers, they are known for being really shy and private in interviews on the other hand and no offence meant to the interviewer, they do have fun and are not boring, eg the jimmy kimmel skits and some of their music videos i think he just wasnt their type of interviewer.
i found this interview incredibly uncomfortable!
killers are completely awesome though! :)
bird blazer !!!! lol
haha. ronnie actually has good social skills... wish dave was on...
How? He asked the same generic questions they always get asked. Seems like he wikapedia'd em.
plus, the interviewer is kinda asking dumb questions, yes, brandon had his influences but each of the rest of them had theirs and i just don't get why people thought sam's town was a step back. Your right man that shit grows on you right??
i can't express how much i love the killers, but that jacket, brandon, is awful. but day and age...simply brilliant!
@patrickdurden ...based on that one comment, I know exactly what kind of person you are, and I'm sorry for you.
I see Britney Spears in your favourites list. Hmmmm I wonder where the inspiration to throw that insult at me came from?
accent lols, my bad.
Maybe next time around the interviewer know his stuff, and have intelligent questions ready?
I still think they'er great but never nearly as great as hot fuss was. my friend stepped on that cd adn i flipped. their rythms seemed more creative in hot fuss, sam's town sounded like a well made and sellable album, hot fuss just rocked it.
Lol, quite funny how he says "Gay English guys"
I'm English and find it funny.
George has been quoted as saying that this was one of his worst interviews ever. It was awkard(ish), lol.
You can tell Brandon has so much on his mind, stumbling over words and very choppy with answers
find me an entertaining killers interview.. i dont think one exists, they always seem very uncomfortable
who cares if they are awkward........ They can't be best in all categories ;)
So that every time I turn on the radio I can hopefully hear some good music and not whatever brand of flowery pop crap it is they play.
ya.. not as entertaining as the other interviews
I'm not speaking for the poor soul you're typing to, but I will speak for myself - I know that Picnic At The Bistro are shite!
Brandon is for equal rights. He was not for prop 8 but he is Mormon.
He has said many time that many of his heroes are gay he thinks every should be equal.

mormon bores. killers? they probably dont even eat.
Such an awkward interview.
Kudos to George though.
meat.
"gay english guys" oh brandon!
This interviewer is always awesome, but these 2 are just kinda...boring.
Haha ya right dude they are god awful Brandon is the man for dissing them..
You know You want it.... lol

most awkward interview in life
Playboys Bunnies :P hahahaha
wow these guys are boring... I had no idea
I think George is one of the worse interviewers I've ever seen.
I was really hoping The Killers were a thing of the past, like Fallout Boy, Panic At the Disco, etc... maybe this CD will flop.
yea, quite boring...
