Fanfarra Firefighters Volunteers Vila do Conde performing at the party in honor of Nossa Senhora da Livração in Boticas.
After a brief stop to greet the firefighters of Vidago and lunch the Fanfare of the Firefighters of Vila do Conde went to Boticas to join the traditional festivities in honor of Nossa Senhora da Livração, which are held annually in the third weekend, week of August and bring to the Boticas thousands of people, attracted by the religious celebrations, revelers, musical spectacles and fireworks.
The Fanfare of the Firemen of Vila do Conde had its first official presentation on September 11, 1977. After a complicated start had the help of the mayor of Fernando Gomes mayor who offered 120 contos for the acquisition of musical instruments.
Gradually this fanfare started to stand out and was requested in parades and festivals in various parts of the country.
Currently counting 40 elements between the ages of 5 and 65 is considered one of the best fanfare in the north of the country.
