- Seven months after the 1October shooting in Las Vegas, survivors, first responders gather to film a PSA about their continued love of country music. What they don’t know is the FOX5 Surprise Squad and the Academy of Country Music secretly teamed up to bring them more than just a message of hope. But when Sherry Withrow, a survivor and huge fan, shares HER story - she brings everyone to tears, even the surprise guest.

i just would like to say for the people who lost there lives on that day god rest your soul for the survivors thank you for being brave on telling your stories as for the police fire fighters emt's first responders thank you for saving our lives and thank you for doing all that you do to keep our streets safe and for being there for these people
As a former firefighter, I still can't imagine what happened just a year ago, true heroes and true angels were in Las Vegas that night.

I really don't like the surprise squad, they have me tearing all day everyday and i can't stop watching their story. I am a Jamaican living in Antigua and i have my own battles that I'm fighting everyday. I have attempted suicide so many times in the past but when I watch these stories they give me so much hope and i feel so much love from these persons that they don't even know. I am bless to have found you guys on youtube. You're my blessings. I wish we had a surprise squad in Caribbean. Don't stop doing what you're all doing because it counts and it is a blessing in disguise. God bless you all.

I'm simply amazed what and how you do things for people in need.
I mostly have tears in my eyes.
Their reaction, happiness and joy are worth every effort.
My story is also kind of sad.
I'm a 26 years old guy from Hungary. I was 10 when me and my mother got thrown out to street by my father because he had another women. We've been through a lot, and there was almost nobody to help us. My mother didn't have a good childhood and family either, she was taken into foster house by her mother at birth and her grandmother took her to herself when my mom was 2 weeks old.
She couldn't finish high school because grandpa of mom died at that time.
When I was ten and this happened to us, I still went to school and got good grades. We went to the capital city, and could rent a bed, only a bed, we could go only to sleep, and in the afternoons after school we were walking on the street looking for coins, so we could buy small bread and I could get small boxed milk from the school.
Then she got to know a man, who she married. What we didn't know the he was drinking a lot.
So he often screamed and shouted at us, woke us up at night etc.
I still had good grades.
I finished high achool, I was a good student the whole time and never gave up. My math and German exam both had a result of 92%. I went to university to study tourism in 2012 September but I needed to get a job, so I had to quit in 2015 January. I had to leave my home for university and for job, mother and me talk on phone every day.
She's not in good situation, me neither.
Actually I couldn't ever smile honestly and happily because my teeth are bad since my childhood.
They need treatment what cost too much, around $2500.
1 week every month brings me sadness, I mostly can't buy the basic groceries. But I'll never give up.

I'm confused that woman was speaking as if her husband had since died. Is that the case and did I just miss that? She said they danced a month later so it wasn't during the event.
