BladeRF + SDR# on Windows 10 - Software Defined Radio Series #17

- In this video I show how to install BladeRF with SDR# (SDRSharp) support on Windows 10. Subsequently, the FPGA is loaded onto the BladeRF from SDR#, and the GSM900 band is browsed using two small quad band duck antennas.
Note: The antennas I use in this video, are not that good compared to that default RTL-SDR antenna I typically use. Basically the received signal strength is pretty bad depending on where the BladeRF is placed, how the RX antenna is angled, how close it is to a window, etc.
Topics covered:
Installing BladeRF on Windows 10
Installing the necessary libraries for SDR#
LNA gain (Low Noise Amplification)
Tools:
BladeRF (nuand.com/)
SDR# (airspy.com/down...)
Libraries for SDR# (github.com/jmi...)
Stay tuned and subscribe for more upcoming videos showing actual hacks!

hey crazy , could you please provide me the link to download the older version of sdr sharp to solve the problem of not showing the blade rf in source
I too need this version. Revision 1450 as shown in his video isn't anywhere to be found.
what is the RTLSDR folder that all the files are copied to? how it creates
Nice vid thanks !! Do you know how to enable the bias tee of the BladeRF?
hey Crazy Danish Hacker,
There is not device option in the bladeRF controller part, I have the bladeRF xA4, what i have to do? thanks
You need an old version of SDR# for it to work with the BladeRF plugin, and even then I'm not sure it's going to work with the model you have. Try out this instead: github.com/xmikos/qspectrumanalyzer
It supports many different modules, including: github.com/xmikos/soapy_power
Hi crazy, can you help me, bladerf option cant show from SDR me ? Why?
I have follow your tutorial start from download
Hej, 2 spørgsmål.
1) Er du radio amatør?
2) Hvad gjorde at du valgte BladeRF i stedet for f.eks HackRF?
Citat: "The developers have invested heavily into their clocking architecture and provide a VCTCXO that has been calibrated within 50 ppb. All of the components were designed to be in sync so that no ClockTamer is necessary."
bladeRF doesnt show up in the source dropbox. bladerf-cli (1.4.0, libbladerf 1.7.2) is working fine and reports Firmware 1.9.0, FPGA 0.6.0.
Newest version of SDR# has compatibility problems with BladeRF. Try SDRConsole v3 instead, it even works with the BladeRF Transverter add-on
any videos that you can recommend???
Carlos, it depends on what you want to learn. But in general, just look around :-)
no device selected ?
Newer versions of SDR# don't work with that plugin.
Hey crazy
what do you has for a antenna. ?
Quite a few, check out this video: ruclips.net/video/w8M4leVv4Ds/видео.html
I also have an Outernet antenna.
Apparently I didn't get a notification for this comment. I made a video about the current antennas I frequently use: ruclips.net/video/w8M4leVv4Ds/видео.html
Hi Crazy, with mine bladerf shows up in Source dropdown but not in config dropdown, it sais bladerf in text next to device but doesn't appear in the dropdown. Running Bladerf A4 on Windows 10 pro, is the USB ID; 2CF0 5250 correct? Thx for ur help.
Use an older version of SDR# and try again
which BladeRF did you get?
The x40, don't really need the fast version. I may get a HackRF or Transverter board (upgrade) at some point though. But for now, the BladeRF is more than enough.
Thanks for Anwsering
PS: do you have a plan for a next tutorial? (it could be how to setup a BTS with BladeRF)
Veso266 Yes I have a plan for multiple videos, including what you mentioned. Only problem is I don't have a lot of time during the weekdays :-)
well thanks if you don't have time that's not a problem I can wait as long as you want
Veso266 Good :-) I'll get to it soon, currently I'm testing wideband capture with the BladeRF. The grgsm_capture program is clamping the bandwidth to 1.5MHz even if I set it manually to for example 20MHz, so that's another obstacle I have to figure out. That's for another video in relation to GSM.
hi all
the source 'sdfsharp.bladerf.bladerfio' is not ready when trying to run
also not showing in the settings
Try this (older) version of SDR# mega.nz/#!Ii4D1IrA!QLUqWXqX6O8z8CS42FLY9kq32OVPW4-fGIk8bIX9q5w and make sure you've installed the libraries and made the necessary configuration changes too: github.com/jmichelp/sdrsharp-bladerf
@@CrazyDanishHacker in this SDR version it is showing bladeRF in source section but after running the scanning it display error like "sampling rate error"
Show!
