I enjoy how at the start people were constantly voting random courses as jokes. Then about an hour in you can see them begin to realise just how long this will take and they start voting properly,

This is one of the few games where moderate joycon drift can actually help. I've taken victories with it, especially with the Yoshi bike (it doesn't turn all that well.) 😅
Mario Kart is like Kahoot. If you stay first long enough, you've almost guaranteed a win, but if you're knocked down by any increment, you're never getting back up.

The shell wasn't spinning, so it was being held behind a player who was invisible with a Boo. The player wasn't quite in the same spot as he saw them due to latency, so he didn't hit the shell. 🤓

The real problem with dan's "the olympics but on drugs" is that at truly maximum output, and for only exceedingly small periods of time, the human body can produce forces it can't handle. If you truly remove the limiters on the human body it will result in dislocations and shattered limbs.

As someone who has 100% the whole game, three stars on every course, on every CC, and beat every Nintendo ghost trial, yes, this takes a while Although my accomplishments pale in comparison to the Drift King's legacy

Tris from Take 3 is so good. They joined half through the tournament (they joined on Leaf Cup so they played tracks 25-48) but they got more than half the points of first place. If they had joined for the first cup, they could have realistically won. And that's all with motion controls. Another fun stat: they got a point average of a little over 11 per race.

I like to imagine that by doing this endurance test, Dan actually became the drift king, since he has had to play at least 150+ tracks, and that hopefully improved his skills.

This reminds me of a thing I used to do with my brother in Mario Kart Wii that we called "The Random 32" We literally just made one round be all 32 tracks and had the course selection be random. We only finished it like once or twice

I love how in the second half you can notice literally everyone trying to ram him off the road, with some people even lagging behind on purpose to hit him with things. just watch the track view and his peripheral.
Apparently, you can't have 12 people simultaneously completing the simple task of voting for the same track. Which is exactly the reason I am afraid of doing this very challenge, much as I'd like to.
There's actually a fairly recent strategy called bagging, where you purposely play badly so you can get better items I think RT has done a great job using that strategy ^^
I love how you can tell RT is actually doing pretty decently when the scoreboards come up, but with the way it's edited it looks like he's abysmal at the game.
watching ZFG play mario kart and the seeing Dry here is just next level comedy. Him beeing the reason the first gand prix had to restart was the cherry on top, great stuff.
LOL! Quick thing about the Bullet Bill drop off. It does not care where you used it, once it gauges you are close enough to 1st place to not need it or enough time has passed after it was triggered it will power down for a split second then drop you off. What I always do, is when I feel I have used up about half its time, I start acting like the Bullet needs my inputs to turn. This ensures that if I get dropped off in a corner, no harm is done.
The fact that RT got disconnected right after he said he loved Daisy is just peak comedic timing. I can only assume that a Nintendo exec was actually watching the stream and intentionally kicked him.

There's actually a fairly recent strategy called bagging, where you purposely play badly so you can get better items
I think RT has done a great job using that strategy ^^
I'm pretty sure they nerfed bagging in the last update. I remember seeing something about that.
The strategy has been around since the mario kart wii comp scene started in like 2009
I love how you can tell RT is actually doing pretty decently when the scoreboards come up, but with the way it's edited it looks like he's abysmal at the game.
Love how every time he says he hates a track or how it's the worst in the game he rocks the race
I liked when RT said "It's drifting time!" and drifted all over the track.

LOL! Quick thing about the Bullet Bill drop off. It does not care where you used it, once it gauges you are close enough to 1st place to not need it or enough time has passed after it was triggered it will power down for a split second then drop you off. What I always do, is when I feel I have used up about half its time, I start acting like the Bullet needs my inputs to turn. This ensures that if I get dropped off in a corner, no harm is done.
The fact that RT got disconnected right after he said he loved Daisy is just peak comedic timing. I can only assume that a Nintendo exec was actually watching the stream and intentionally kicked him.

my mom asked me why rt was driving in the wrong lanes for cars and taking shortcuts and when i explained that the laws of the road don’t apply to mario kart she said “oh, i thought he was just a terrible driver” and then he crashed into a wall
