Thank you SO MUCH Kim for coming out and showing me the ropes of Montana rockhounding! I had a blast! My face hurt from smiling so much lol dream come true! And you found some absolutely stunning rocks!!! I can’t even chose a favorite lol I can’t wait to get home and unpack all my awesome finds! :) Thank you again! Really meant a lot to me! 🤗❤️
You amazed me once again with the best rock picking spots on the planet. They were all beautiful. Good job Robbie. I think I have it figured out. When you start to go out, you schedule a train load of agates to come by and dump them along the river for you. 🤪😊👍 Keep the goodness coming. Be happy, safe and stay healthy. Woof to chopper!
What a good year it's been for me for sure, I am just loving it. I cut one of the agates yesterday and it had some gorgeous yellow-orange-red...I can't wait to put together the next Drogon meal. 🐲🐲🐲
Thank you! I was super nervous if you couldn’t tell but Kim has a way of making you feel so comfortable! My most favorite rockhounding trip to date! Can’t wait to go again! :)
I met up with a friend of mine from Arizona and we did some great rockhounding together! Lots of great finds including one of my favorite Montana agate finds ever! It has an incredible yellow-orange glow to it with a detailed banding pattern across the top that is simply stunning. I keep getting coral and petrified palm wood mixed up. So, 6:30 is actually agatized palm wood. 12:15 is a type of coral known as the tabulate coral Halysites. 17:13 is an agatized horn coral. 20:07 is a fossilized gastropod.
@@rockersfromaz3001 It was so fun! Seriously! I want you to get on a plane and come back! Stay with me next time though 😉 So many more places for us to explore
My dear Kim, you find THE MOST ASTOUNDINGLY BEAUTIFUL specimens EVER!! This hunt was, I believe, THE BEST YET!!! Clearly your part of The Great River is where ALL THE BEST ones are to be found!! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing with us!
I didn't realize that rabbits swam. I can't believe it just stood there looking at you! The jackrabbits around here take off if I just look at them out a window. The variety of gorgeous rocks you find is amazing. How fun that you could share the day with a rockhounding friend. Thank you for showing us all the great rocks in a very high quality video!
Hi MRM, I can not believe you find so much great & varied material in one spot on one day. That location is so productive it is staggering. I can’t pick one as a favourite as there are too many staggering pieces. Keep Safe
Wow stunning finds the coral was soo cool. And some of the colours you had on some of the stones wow. That one piece of jasperized wood with the bold stripes was so pretty and the plume jasper. And that dark agate with the orange and the white quarts Mind blown. Thanks for taking the time to show us your finds and im glad you had a buddy along with you. Its way more fun when you have a fellow rock hound along to discuss your finds and just for company at times. Thanks Kim 😀
You know you're a rockhound when the USGS identifies your collection as a major contributing factor to isostacy in your state. 😉 Beautiful as always! Thank you so much for taking us along. ♥
I wish the camera did that one more justice...it's unbelievable up close and personal. I have it in my bedroom right now! Sometimes I put my most recent, fantastic find of a hunt on my nightstand so I can keep looking at the beauty of it ....Am I totally insane? I wonder if anyone else does that.
Hey Kim, I have seen a lot of amazing finds and videos, but you have top notch material that consistently finds you. You find THE MOST awe-striking crystals every time I see a video of yours!! Your luck is truly astounding. The gods are watching over you.
@@MontanaRockMom yes, I'd agree. I tend to have similar luck with my rocks and crystals coming to me. It's a reminder to me, that I'm not wasting my time or that I'm pointed in the wrong direction. Right on.
Those are some truly beautiful finds. Watching this at 5 am which makes for a great start to my Monday. Thank you MRM, need to get back to the great state of Montana.
I just want to shout out and say thank you very much for that video because I just learned an awful lot I did that on the river bed but what you were saying actually pounded lot more information and I appreciate it
Great finds, but that poor bunny! Looked like he had just come out of the water right before you got there. Can't imagine what would have happened if Chopper had been there. Absolutely in love with that pink and blue and every other color in the rainbow prairie agate thingy at 19:00, that's cool.
@@MontanaRockMom I can see the Sea World attraction now. Synchronized Rabbits. They'll have little balls they balance on their noses and tiny little hoops to leap through while circus music plays. One will get dressed up as a shark. At some point, somebody is going to try to get penguins involved. That probably won't go as well as they'd hoped.
Kim, I am almost lost for words at the treasures you found. It's like you must have decided to go hounding where a volcano had been spewing out agates and other assorted beauties!
Happy holidays. I hope you're doing well. I really enjoy watching your show ☺. You are so passionate about your finds. I love how you splice your finds with cutting them at the same time. Looking forward to seeing you and chopper in your new adventures on the yellowstone River. I am out there also. I hope to run into you someday.
Thank you for sharing your treasure hunting with us! I feel like I am right out there with you finding these goodies. I hope I get to do it in real life this next year.

I love watching your videos. It’s my dream to live in Montana but it’s too cold for my husband. I may come some summer and try my luck. Beautiful agates 🙂
Oh yeah. That rabbit's my new friend, "Jack." He's super laid back. Jack totally wanted to hang out! He was like..."Wassup," and I was like, "Sup..." Then I followed him to what appeared to be his rabbit "man cave" where he preceded to show me all the cool agates he steals off the river and keeps for himself when no one is around. Hope I got on his good side.
Im in AZ too... But i don't think there are any agates here that are bigger than a quarter! But if your friend knows, and she wants to share 😉 I'm listening!

Is it not agenst the law to rockhound at national parks
The Yellowstone River goes for hundreds of miles outside the national park. It is prohibited to rockhound inside the park.
