I am a complete knob for not knowing this, but what does this thing do?
I have an ASUS Rog 751 and I experience Wifi disconnects in random frequency. I have read so far that the internal wifi card isnt the best and you could replace it "easily", but I dont have the skills for it. Would this solve my problem?
@@Gentleman...Driver Maybe. Maybe no. Please check with ASUS Support.
@@jayceooi They just tell me to send it in for repair. I am not going to do that.
All that i needed to buy it! Thanks 👍🏻 very very useful also i loved that you had some examples in MB and distance from router. Bravo 👏
Thank you too!
Hello Jayce.
I want to buy this product for my laptop, but i already have a network card inside of my laptop, can i still use this usb network?
I mean, how does my computer know what card to use?
hope you see this and can answer :)
Thank you
Yes. You can select the one you want to use.
@@jayceooi Thanks alot for your help :) Great video :)
@@tibiainfo6882 You are most welcome! Thank you too!
What does it do prior to ASUS adapter was installed. Does it improve range?
This depend on your existing WiFi device.
i have tried the stuff on the user manual and do not notice any changes, did i do something wrong? I do not the the adapter's wifi at all.
Please check with Asus Support in this case.
is this better or D-link AX1800 usb adapter better?

Anyone know the fix of having the router plugged into cradle + plug into PC but its not turning on ? There is no blue light. yes my computer is on
Please check with ASUS Support.
do you know witch one is the better one for gaming? This one or (ASUS USB-AC68)
If your router support 3x3, go for AC68. Else AX56.
@@jayceooi it´s becaus i travel alot with my job, so it´s for a gaming laptop, so we are talking hotel wi-fi. i Know the ping is goonna be what it is. But just in the regard to best stable connection (minimise the lag spikes) for gaming specific :) Thanks for the quick response btw.
Does the gold part of the antenna have to face to the router for better connection
No.
@@jayceooi thanks for responding so quickly

I have the same wifi adapter but I uninstalled the device with the drive and now I can't find the driver. Where can I find the driver?

I bought this usb wifi adpater. It connects fine on 2.4ghz but on 5ghz it keeps disconnecting. Anyone have any ideas?
Please check with ASUS Support. It's not normal.
I just bought an ASUS USB-AX56 today. Easy to setup and was working good UNTIL the first time I rebooted the PC. Now the WiFi adapter connects and immediately drops out over and over again. I am using the latest driver. I have not found a solution yet. I am using Windows 10 64-bit on a Dell Power Edge T110. Any ideas for a fix would be greatly appreciated.
Try another USB port see. If still cannot, please consult Asus Support.
@@jayceooi Thanks for the suggestion and I actually tried another USB port prior to reading your reply. The problem is still happening. For the heck of it I left the PC run day and night and noticed that at random times the WiFi adapter will hold a good connection, but lose it minutes later then continuously connect and disconnect for a period of time. I'll try ASUS support, but if I have to deal with an endless loop of automated support, I'll return the USB adapter and buy a competitor's WiFi adapter. This problem seems to affect lots of people as I am reading on the internet. Does ASUS product test their hardware?
@@jjjj-uf4bw Welcome! Of course, Asus tested it before release. Maybe it is not compatible with your wireless router. Just let them know and they will find a way to fix it.
@@jayceooi - I'm not sure how much testing ASUS does, but this problem seems to be fairly common from what I'm reading on the internet with this model and a similar model. Anyway, after running my PC 24x7 since it is running a VMS server, the ASUS WiFi adapter will hold a connection for long periods of time then for some unknow reason will start to continuously disconnect and reconnect. The WiFi signal is strong (all bars), so it is not as if the WiFi signal is on the fringe of dropping out which could explain the problem, but this is not the case. Before I call ASUS, I want to collect as much information as possible.
After exhausting attempts to resolve the problem, I decided to return the ASUS and bought a competitor's WiFi adapter of similar specifications. After installing the competitor's WiFi adapter and performing tests, the competitor's WiFi adapter worked flawlessly. I am disappointed with ASUS for not fully testing their product especially after reading of the many cases similar to mine. For many years I built PC's using ASUS mother board and products and all met or exceeded my expectations. Going forward, I will research any product manufactured by ASUS before purchase.
after I install the drivers I can see wifi networks but I still get an error "Can't connect to this network" error.
This hasn't happened before with any other usb wifi dongle I've used.
Please check with Asus Support.
Try changing usb connector to another.
I want to know if your product supports 160Mhz. Here is the background:
160MHz Channel Support
160MHz is the highest bandwidth available on 5GHz routers. With double the throughput compared to 80MHz channels, it can achieve data rates up to 2.4Gbps on capable clients. However, it is important to know that not all client devices support 160MHz wide channels.
As per review...
whats the command promt command being used?

Anyone know why my device has a blinking blue light constantly? Wifi seems to work great
No worries about that...
Same thing happening to me, it's so annoying.
Does this work also on the desktop pc?
Sure, why not?
I need to catch wifi 40m away in outdoor conditions,
i have laptop, thinking how to increase my range.
Any chance Asus AX1800 will help, what is your opinion?
Thx
Your wireless router needs to be powerful. Client does not matter much...
@@jayceooi Forgot to mention, wifi is not mine, thats the catch/

Would this work on a console (example PS5, Series X/S?
No
@@jayceooi really, I would of thought it could since its usb, guess I was wrong
Hi! how's the latency? is this good for gaming? ^_^ thank you
Excellent. Yes.
@@jayceooi thank you!!!
@@kuya_nens Welcome!!!
i need to know how good it is in gaming cuz ping i a great issue i have, the router is give or take 10m away, thanks
Ping is not an issue on hardware. It's your ISP routing issue.
@@jayceooi pretty weird since my cousins live on the floor where the router is plugged in,and they experience way less lag,the problem occurs only to me,so i assumed it's my wifi adapter's problem (it's quite old and basic as well, the brand is called pix-link so obviously an off brand)
@@bloodbach4986 That's WiFi signal strength issue.
@@jayceooi okay then can a better wifi adapter with wider coverage mitigate that problem a bit? (such as this adapter)
@@bloodbach4986 Yes, if still within range. Wireless router also affect the coverage range.

only issue is it does not work for Windows7. I bought this because i used have a hard wired desk top with dual boot, windows10 and windows7. I get great connections with windows10 but windows 7 does not work this really sucks as i need wireless for both.
For older windows support, you need older devices like USB-AC68...
I bought this usb and it can only detect 2.4 GHz WIFI, But it doesn't show 5 or 6GHz Wifi from my S23+ hotspot, updating drivers showed 5G in device manager properties but still i cant connect to 5 or 6Ghz, anyone got solution?

I didn't get a USB cradle included 🤔😂 also does it matter which usb port the adapter is connected to? I think I have some 2.0 and some 3.0
Yes, it does.
I read you need to plug it in the 3.0 usb, otherwise it could not work at all, but even if it works, it will be way slower
will this work for ps4 ?
I don't think so 🤔
I will buy it now and used it i just bought asus tuff and it keeps disconnecting with our wifi hope this is helpfull maybe asus just actually did give issue for tuff loptop specially on wifi becouse of this wifi adapter you need to buy it gudget 😂

To those who are having the "Unable to connect to this network" issue, have you all tried to contact ASUS support? If yes, can you help me with it because i just bought it and experiencing the same thing. I didnt know there was an issue with this wifi adapter until i experience it myself. Should done my research before buying it. Would appreciate any help. Thank you.
What kind of issue? Anyway, do check with Asus Support. Faster.
@@jayceooi I have already done the setup and installation but I'm still unable to connect to any of the wifi networks. Keep saying "Unable to connect to this network". Theres nothing wrong with the network. After I experience the issue, I tried to find the fix alone by looking at reddit and other sources. I noticed alot of people are having the same issues with this adapter. So far i can't find a solution and I have yet to contact ASUS support because I'm working right now.
Sounds stupid but i read on reddit to try different USB ports and well after the third USB port it worked

It will also be nice but I don't like it because it doesn't support 160MHz bandwidth! 😑😑😑
