I never took Willows initial comment to be about sex - I think it was about them being an official couple or even getting married eventually. However the way she phrased it made them think about Giles and Jenny and sex - which to a teenager would have been gross!

This is a totally new experience for me and nothing like when I killed a guy.”
In this episode, does Giles ever say that HE did the spell to raise Eyghon? Obviously he says someone would perform the spell to raise Eyghon so they could experience the euphoria that came with it, but if he never did it himself, Witch might still have been his first casting experience. The other times he was just a participant in the effects. Or even a bystander.
I've always just assumed that he was making a distinction between drawing an aspect of a demon into yourself and trying to influence a supernatural being to do something else (the casting). Similarly, someone performing an exorcism in this universe isn't necessarily "casting a spell," even though they are performing a magical ritual in order to affect a supernatural being.
Yea, Bruce Seth Green and Seth Green always caused confusion, even some websites to this day credit Seth Green as the director instead of Bruce Seth Green. Bruce Seth Green is a lot older, and they are not related. Also, while the morgue coolers aren't locked, I imagine it might still be tough to open from the inside, not to mention they are kept pretty close to freezing. Don't know about other countries, but yes, Ethan very much could be arrested in the US for being in the high school library like that. He doesn't have any children enrolled at the school and he's not an employee, and he's not there with authorization to visit Giles or for any professional reason, so he is very much trespassing!

I think the scene where Cordelia sees Giles with the police was originally written differently and the other scene where she tells the group it was about a homicide wasn't changed. Cordelia in the final episode doesn't hear that it's about a homicide. At least not that the audience sees. Head canon-wise, I assume Cordelia was listening at the door after heaving or perhaps before coming in, but with needing the hint to leave I assume it was after she left.
Honestly I usually really like Xander's shirts (There are exceptions of course). His pants not so much, but I really like the patterned sweaters and short sleeved button ups. I really like the red shirt, it's 100% the type of shirt I wear on the regular.
When I was a kid I never noticed the library was larger than just the entrance where most of the action occurred. I just thought the book budget was rubbish.
So, in regards to Willow's dream being premised on "there is nowhere else to sit so he sits with me" I relate to it too much. There a genre (I guess that's what you would call it) of fanfiction called Self Insert where someone rights themselves into their favorite stories. I could never write that kind of thing because I found it impossible to imagine myself in the universes of stories I love without it either being boring or tragic. I couldn't imagine characters I like liking me back or needing my help or that I could be of much use even if I did learn magic or whatever. Then as an adult I made friends with someone who loved to play "what if," spending time talking about what life could be like. It usually started with "what if I won the lottery," and even with that I couldn't let loose and just have fun with it the way she could. I'd limit and be realistic with it and eventually would actually get anxious about whether it was these would be the right decisions to make in these HYPOCRITICAL SITUATIONS. I practice the same kind of grounded (or being less kind anchored down by concrete boots) imagining in my fiction writing. If I cant establish a solid reason for something to happen based as a consequence of the plot or it doesnt fit well within the established rules of the world I cant allow it, even when Im just telling a story to myself for myself. There's a fan theory that Cordelia might be on the Autism spectrum. The scenes in the library in this episode are perfect examples. This isn't simply entitlement combined with teenaged chaos, she's clearly not understanding the situation or reading facial language. Keep in mind that the psychological model that sees Autism as part of a spectrum of neurodevelopment disorders was only codified in 2013 with the publication of the DSM-5; at the time of BVS Asperger's, Autism, and Borderline Autism (some but not all symptoms) were considered separate under the umbrella of Pervasive Development Disorders.

Given how often hospitals end up running low but especially would in a town like Sunnydale with people getting hurt, regularly losing their blood delivery most certainly resulted in blood loss. Also if they vampires are able to walk around taking blood deliveries, they can definitely go in to target vulnerable patients, worried family/friends, and too tired hospital staff. Also, given how vampires work in this universe and that they are residing in sunnydale we can assume they arent 100% substituting their diet. More than likely its kept on hand for emergencies when injured from fights with other sups or the resident slayer, drank more in social situations, and for vampires like Drew maybe who might not be suited for going out to hunt on their own. Also, given what we know later but the supernatural in sunnydale later on its very possible stealing the blood and then being able to drInk it is just a bonus. A hospital chronically low on blood would be a great place for a metaphorical or literal demon looking for people desprate enough to make a deal.
I like your videos. One thing: you keep criticizing Zander's clothes as if it were his choice. He's being coded as from a miserably poor family that has to dress him out of charity give-aways. Which is one reason Cordelia despises him. There's a whole class commentary going on here that you're missing. They confirm his family's poverty in later seasons.

I think it's mainly due to the unique clothes he wears is why they comment on him more than anyone's wardrobe. I've always thought it was actually kind of interesting them noticing his clothes and pointing it out. It isn't always negative. I would imagine Maria is fully aware of the situation with Xander as she's a fan. While I can't remember the exchange exactly I think I recall earlier on in these reactions Sam briefly did comment/theorize why Xander could be dressing the way he did for similar reasons. He didn't exactly guess it out right. Either way, I think it's just something they started, so they continue to comment on since it, especially since his wardrobe does stand out a lot sometimes in certain scenes. I think they're fully aware he technically doesn't have control over his clothes. I mean, if we really wanna get technical it's not even Xander having hand-me-downs, it's the wardrobe department wanting to showcase the character of Xander having hand-me-downs.
Also, the wardrobe department is trying to dress Xander as a high school geek. And Nicholas Brendan is a good looking guy, which typically places a teen into the popular crowd in high school. So they had to find some other way to make Xander seem geeky. And when copyright and trademarks prevent using more recognizable geeky clothing (superhero shirts and so forth) due to a small budget, they have to get creative their choices.
I was in high school in the late 90s and trust me, what Xander wears was the style at the time. I wasn’t poor and a lot of clothes at the time looked like the stuff Xander wears. I had a lot of Valour jackets and baggy sweaters that stuff wasn’t cheap and was very popular

I feel like im the only one who didnt really care for Giles’s dark history. I was expecting something more sinister…but I understand they probably didnt want to go too far and make him unredeemable
Lmao doesnt suprise me but then in my family there was my uncle who always runs super hot, me who runs warmer, my grandmother who wishes it was over 80 degrees year round, and then my mom who wore turtlenecks in summer with sweaters and sweatshirts carried around to layer ontop if she had to go into air conditioning. Plus, at this point Willow seems like both a figdeter and more anxious. I know plenty of people including myself who might cover up more for the emotional comfort and feeling shielded or something to pick with/cover figdety hands from view.

I've got it too, or at least mostly? There are very few things I envision in my head and sometimes if I try I can but it mostly fails. When people would say they could imagine it I didnt understand what was going on in their head was so different from mine. Same with people having an inner voice and thoughts that actually were sort of spoken instead of abstract formless things in their heads that you just sort of perceive rather than hearing. People for years would question my taking pictures of random things and tell me I should get rid of bad pictures and wouldnt get it when I explained they were the only way I could remember and it caused so many issues with "show your work" assignments in school among other things. It was a great relief to one day stumble across an article and then a scishow video to finally understand.

It's not unrealistic that his pronunciation of that name could have changed. Especially if he's been around others with the alternate way.

I've always thought it was actually kind of interesting them noticing his clothes and pointing it out. It isn't always negative. I would imagine Maria is fully aware of the situation with Xander as she's a fan. While I can't remember the exchange exactly I think I recall earlier on in these reactions Sam briefly did comment/theorize why Xander could be dressing the way he did for similar reasons. He didn't exactly guess it out right. Either way, I think it's just something they started, so they continue to comment on since it, especially since his wardrobe does stand out a lot sometimes in certain scenes. I think they're fully aware he technically doesn't have control over his clothes. I mean, if we really wanna get technical it's not even Xander having hand-me-downs, it's the wardrobe department wanting to showcase the character of Xander having hand-me-downs.
Also, the wardrobe department is trying to dress Xander as a high school geek. And Nicholas Brendan is a good looking guy, which typically places a teen into the popular crowd in high school. So they had to find some other way to make Xander seem geeky. And when copyright and trademarks prevent using more recognizable geeky clothing (superhero shirts and so forth) due to a small budget, they have to get creative their choices.
I was in high school in the late 90s and trust me, what Xander wears was the style at the time. I wasn’t poor and a lot of clothes at the time looked like the stuff Xander wears. I had a lot of Valour jackets and baggy sweaters that stuff wasn’t cheap and was very popular
I think i’d like Xander’s sweater if the pattern was higher and it was less baggy overall.

I feel like im the only one who didnt really care for Giles’s dark history. I was expecting something more sinister…but I understand they probably didnt want to go too far and make him unredeemable

In the clothes department I'm more surprised by Willow wearing a sweater and Buffy a flimsy nighty at the same time.
Lmao doesnt suprise me but then in my family there was my uncle who always runs super hot, me who runs warmer, my grandmother who wishes it was over 80 degrees year round, and then my mom who wore turtlenecks in summer with sweaters and sweatshirts carried around to layer ontop if she had to go into air conditioning. Plus, at this point Willow seems like both a figdeter and more anxious. I know plenty of people including myself who might cover up more for the emotional comfort and feeling shielded or something to pick with/cover figdety hands from view.

I've got it too, or at least mostly? There are very few things I envision in my head and sometimes if I try I can but it mostly fails. When people would say they could imagine it I didnt understand what was going on in their head was so different from mine. Same with people having an inner voice and thoughts that actually were sort of spoken instead of abstract formless things in their heads that you just sort of perceive rather than hearing. People for years would question my taking pictures of random things and tell me I should get rid of bad pictures and wouldnt get it when I explained they were the only way I could remember and it caused so many issues with "show your work" assignments in school among other things. It was a great relief to one day stumble across an article and then a scishow video to finally understand.

I've known a lot of people who mispronounce their friend's names. Sometimes it's a weird quirk. Also, it's been 20+ years since Giles has seen her, and he's been in America for a while. It's not unrealistic that his pronunciation of that name could have changed. Especially if he's been around others with the alternate way.
I feel like for the last episode of each season you guys should try to replicate the outfits you hate the most, I feel like it can be a nice way to uhhmm... honour the season
