Great video, good looking bike indeed! If you have to do again, maybe try the string and tie off on jackstands in the front, hitch hole on the rear.

Was wondering if anybody could answer a question for me. How do you adjust for repair camber on a Polaris sportsman 400

What is wrong with straightening the old tie rod? You can do it and check it with V blocks.

Did that to use as a backup. The tie rod was pretty cheap.

    Floor jacks for string

That would work. To be honest it always rode and tracked perfect.

you cannot measure it like this as back axel/tires are wider with a inch... if your pipe that you use as measurement is longer let say 5 m you will see that form the front side of the pipe the distance will be shorter

Correct, that is the reason I used a tape measure, I am more or less making sure the front wheel pointing the same direction as the back wheel and not as concerned that they are on the same plane. Then I just towed out an 1/8" - 1/4" between the front wheels. It always handled great.

You cant do it efficiently with out a rod or string on both sides
just saying .handle bars will never be dead center by guessing . hope im not sounding like a troll not my intent ..i like quick and easy peasy

My handlebars are straight. Either I got lucky or because I aligned off the back tires.

You can't do an accurate alignment on one side only. You can use 4 jack stands to hold string and make a box around the quad. You need to take measurements on both front tires with the steering centered. This video is not the correct way to do an alignment.

Yes, your right according to the manual. I feel pretty good with it though because I aligned each wheel to the back wheels and then measured from front tire across to the other front tire. I doubled checked it several times.
