3:22 no he didn't mean that expressing yourself can kill you, he said that it can kill somebody else. Like how hate comments can lead to self-exiting of the receiver of these comments. Same with malicious rumours. K-pop lost several artists to this and BTS struggled with hate a lot. Also several months ago very famous actor passed away because of the smear campaign against him from media and public and Suga himself was victim of the smear campaign not so long ago and it was brutal. So he says that it is not freedom of speech to hate on somebody or create a rumours about somebody. It is a bullying. And it can lead to people's deaths. It is Korean. BTS are Korean. But they have songs not only in Korean, but in Japanese and English.
You have to know that S. Korea was a 3rd world country. They were basically slaves. Unless you were royalty. so yes, speaking up could get you killed. It IS that way in N. Korea now. In fact if you have a BTS album in N, Korea you go straight to jail and why they go to the military there. Because of the cold war between N. Korea and S. Korea
The haegeum is a traditional Korean string instrument, resembling a vertical fiddle with two strings. Haegeum also means ' to lift a ban' or 'unlocking something that's forbidden'....
Not only is he an amazing rapper who has incredibly deep lyrics he is the producer. This song is 100% him no one else worked on writing rapping or producing. He’s know as a top producer for a reason his beats are incredible. He writes story boards for the MVs with creative story lines too. He’s a complete package. And just one of the 7 members. Can’t wait too he’s back he did a solo tour that was incredible.
Yayyy.. Haegeum has a double meaning.. It's a traditional 2 string instrument(which you can hear in the background) and it means to express freedom and liberation from societal demands.. it's the second meaning that he's used in this song.. Daechwita is the struggle between the 2 sides of himself Haegeum is the struggle of Yoongi against society and the world Amygdala is essentially Yoongi's story of the struggle of his life
did you notice that the one who stole the money in the beginning is the one sitting in the bathtub of money and is the one to burn the money with the cigarette? so the police officer is the one holding the gun to the guys head while he sits in the tub and the police gets mad when he burns the money and then it shows the police is the gang leader... and the police gets shot at the end. basically whos really running the gangs 👀
My friend please don't worry about pauses you're a reactor that is part of it some people don't get that but if they don't get that they just need to move on you can't please everyone that is an interesting take when he's talking about convictions reflected in our judgment and speculations not talking about legal convictions he's talking more about how your principles what you stand for is reflected in your judgment speculations of others awesome because you don't know the background of BTS he didn't catch on but the cigarette that he keeps smoking and putting out has a deeper message one of his band members v was caught smoking haters tried to cancel him because in Korea an idol can't be human an idol has to be perfect were they literally tear them down so what happened when he was being trashed for smoking suga RM and JK all came to his defense in their own way rm the leader posted a photo of him smoking JK the the youngest of the group smoked outside in public where he knew he would get caught on camera and suga being the artist he is wrote a song. Also I know that America is your only reference in which you see the world but remember that South Korea is different. Putting people on pedestals and then tearing said pedestal down South Korea is very backwards. The members of BTS breaking down walls for other the artists so try not to look at their music from an American perspective although I know that would be hard. One thing BTS will teach you is to look outside of your own perspective. Kosher is a deep rooting thing in Korea so much so that. To take your example of incarceration so here if you're incarcerated people look down on you you don't get a job you are the one that people think is trash but because culture and tradition is so deeply rooted inner South Korea it's not only the person who was incarcerated who gets treated badly your actions also reflect on your family so if a Korean is incarcerated not only will he not be able to get a job and but his parents and whoever else is in his family will lose everything their job their house everything which puts a lot of pressure on people like suga sold the song is about releasing those bonds allowing people to have freedom of expression and freedom to make decisions even if they're not the best for them personally likes have a smoke
Thank you for reading and giving your opinion on the lyrics not just the flow and beat. That is what I think reaction videos should be like. I look forward to seeing many more💜💜
We watch because we like your reactions. You seem genuine and I hope you enjoy the music like we do. BTS has given us so much all we want is for people to get to know them and give their music/art a chance.
He is not saying freedom of expression gets the person speaking killed. He is saying that some people misuse freedom of speech (freedom of expression, which is basically the same and the term used in many countries, ie expression includes speech) as an excuse to make hateful comments, which may end with consequences of violence or bullying on another person. He is saying this is not free speech, but self indulgence.
Don't forget Agust D waiting for you : "Agust D" MV Shadow The last Tony Montana Strange Huh Amigdala And you must ceck out Agust D d day consert it so dope and amazing
Awwwwwww Bless. From the minute you started reacting to BTS………? You became a member of the LARGEST FAMILY IN THE WORLD - Army. We will ALWAYS have your back and over time as your channel grows…..right there along side your journey. Stay safe ….appreciate your reactions……*hugs* Borahae 💜💜💜 edit…….NEVER APOLOGIZE FOR PAUSING A BTS VID IN ORDER TO TAKE IN THE LYRICS. As a 57yr old West Indian Army Mom since 2016…..trust….we have ALL been in yo shoes. What I love about your reaction is…taking the time to read his lyrics and react to the meaning. Not many have done that…..so Kudos and take your time. This is Your CHANNEL…..YOUR REACTION. Anyone don’t like it? Can simply click out. Us OG Army appreciate your way of doing things. Keep on keeping on 😂 Ps. Forgot what Haegeum means? Is a term either used explicitly in S.Korea or maybe other Asian countries. Googled it yrs ago…..forgot what it means ( today) to be honest. 😊
Haegeum is a traditional korean musical instrument but also in this case means freedom from the forbidden. No need to apologize for pausing, it is your channel. But you are missing out on the flow. Please consider watching the whole video and then going back to watch it with the lyrics. ARMY will be there with you to enjoy it. Glad to hear you are enjoying BTS, we will support you as long as you are genuine. Please react to Amygdala next, its the last in this trilogy. Amygdala is based on his real life experiences PS. I see what you did at the end of the video. If you prefer doing it this way, its cool😊
When you have time you should watch the hardships of bts and the guide of bts and live performance mama 2018 and 2019 watch them when you have time 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 thank you
Haegeum means two things. One is a traditional Korean musical instrument that is a two-stringed fiddle and the second is liberation or lifting of a ban. And in this song he incorporated both meanings by using the very same instrument in the music and the song lyrics being about freedom and liberation. He also not only wrote and produced this solely by himself, he also did the storyboard for this MV (and with Daechwita too). He's such a genius. 😫
By the way, another awesome video! I really like the way you react and breakdown every single line of the song as your share your personal insights and relate to your own story and experiences. It's so refreshing to see among many other reactors on RUclips. BTS have so much depth in their lyricsm and this is the kind of energy their art and music truly deserve from creators. I hope your channel grows more 💜
Love you and your reactions! The way you read the lyrics and reflect! Seriously... I don't know when he breathes on most of his songs. LOL. Love how you looked at the people in the back and equated that to how everybody wants change but no one wants to be the one to do anything about it so they stand back and just let things happen. So true! One of my favorite quotes is "Be the Change you wish to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi But on a tangent, it is crazy your generation can even consider that the moon landing wasn't real. 😂The fact that conspiracy theories popularized by social media and movies claiming that as an option, actually has your generation not believe reality.... that is crazy to me. LOL. I feel sad that you live in a world where you believe that it didn't really happened. I mean, how do you explain that we did it 5 more times times with 10 more men? Either way, believe what you want, it is doesn't matter fr. Truth doesn't stop being truth whether someone believes or not. And lies never stop being lies even if everyone believes it. Hope you will always keep your love of exploring new things and growing in your knowledge and learning... if you seek out unbiased sources for facts, that is the only way to know the truth of anything. Looking forward to whatever is next on your journey... hoping it is Taylor's Guide soon! 🙏💜 Also for fun, if interested, my kids found this eye opening after being told by so many people lately that it never happened, they were starting to question it too. Another thing I would say is pay attention to what is actually happening in the video you were talking so much that you missed the concept of of the story that he's telling which analyzing bts's part of being Army but you also have to pay attention to what you're seeing to analyze it and not go off on tangents that don't apply to what you're seeing for instance in this video it connects to the first video king Yoongi and peasant suga in this video it's updated version the king becomes a corrupt police captain in The peasant becomes a criminal and in the end because of his corruption and trying to hold people in his bonds power the the criminal gets the king's people on his side and then become the king himself in the next video please pay more attention to the lyrics and the video concept as you will see Agustd which is sugas alter ego also the peasant in the first one for the criminal in this video
I will tell you why American food has no flavor..... It is because of conventional growing ( not organic) I am a University of Idaho master gardener ( every state has this program) and I have learned about organics. They produce has sooo much better flavor........ AND THE PRODUCE HAS 30% more antioxidants that stop us from getting sick AND if the plant is actually attacked by bugs the produce has an additional 33% antioxidants.....SO a total of 63% !!! So they make it more expensive and now you really can't find organic. As if the plants caught covid and don't produce anymore. ANYWAY>>>>> grow it your self (I can show you how.) Just make sure your plants are spaced apart so air circulates ( why conventional produce started using chemicals) And plants need at least 8 hrs sunlight to make a flower that turns into the produce AND EGGS have more flavor and 30% less cholesterol if the chickens get to walk around. (The yolks should be orange and not pale yellow( from lack of sunshine)
I really like your engagement and have been impressed across several reactions. But as I hit the 11-minute mark I feel like all the stops you made without letting ideas connect to each other has caused you to go on a lot of tangents punctuated by a staccato of repeating "do you feel me". I know you to be intelligent but at least at this point you were missing the message that Haegum was an admonition not to let the fact we exist within an increasing flood of information which acting to increase our ability to freely express like never before turn into a belief we can act self-indulgently. TBH, I think there are times when a stronger reaction would come from letting messaging germinate in your brain instead of commenting bar by bar. Sentences often cross several lyric frames. What happened early on in this reaction was a whole collage of ideas emerged which did not reflect what the song is trying to say. I apologize if I am sensitive but I think Suga's warning against self-indulgence is about as important a message as any musician has put out there. Even ARMYs often need to learn from Suga's warnings.
This is a perfect reason why it is so important to pause. These lyrics are so important to hear. Thank you for reacting by really listening
