Bruce brown was that for them last year, the issue is yeah having only two stars who can create offense and a bunch of specialist doesn’t work as much in modern day nba as it did years ago unless the second option is another top tier star which Murray isn’t, you need everyone on the starting 5 atleast to dribble, pass and shoot.
Josh Okogie, Jarred Vanderbilt, and D'Angelo Russell are names this team moved on from. Those are all valuable players elsewhere. In the search of an identity, Minne have morphed into a team that can blast sets with their energy and length. With that said Naz, NAW, JMac, and Ant are quick too. While the Nuggets are a progression team, that runs its system and counters, the Wolves are making them look like a finesse team, physically overmatched and unable to get into their offense. One need consider that neither Jamal or Nikola have been beating opponents with quickness, and it seems Finch has just said we are going to get up in them and not let them flow through to their spots on the floor. This series is a great case study on how to defend PnR, but also what type of physical gifts are required to do so.
It’s extreme but Malone might need to cut Murray’s minutes. He looked completely ineffective against the t-wolves size and length, lost all composure and played directly into their hands. 3 of 18 with 4 TOs is inexcusable. Never mind being a positive, Murray needs to focus on not being a massive negative this series. I think the nuggets still take a game or two but feels like something wild needs to happen to shift momentum. PG Jokic? More Jokic + bench lines? If you look at these playoffs, Josh Hart is impacting in so many ways. Is it crazy to say that hes better than a guy like Paul George? I know PG is a «better player», hes more skilled, but Josh Harts impact is so consistent because the playstyle is simple, while a guy like PG is so inconsistent. When hes not scoring, hes not really doing shit, while Hart is bringing insane energy, revounding, live playmaking every game.
As a Laker fan I’m just disgusted cause we really should’ve won that series. There was clearly a flaw within this nuggets team but we couldn’t close when it mattered most. That wolves defense in the 2nd qtr was some of the most intense,efficient defense I've ever seen in my life.They were constantly hounding the nuggets with no let ups,taking gambles with hard double teaming n closeouts,dodging pick switches and even if it did happen the next person wasn't a liability.Alexander-Walker is so damn underrated on this team it's ridiculous dude was guarding full court,dodging screens,getting deflections,being just as much a disrupter as McDaniels and Edwards are on defense.
That was a masterful defensive performance by the T-Wolves that and ANT is just owning the Nuggets on both sides of the courts. Knicks and Pacers was a masterclass. Everytime a team get a big lead the other comes back. Burnson Hart and Divinczo were hitting big shot after big shot to not let the Knicks not fall into a deep hole. Knicks got to be better with the turnovers can’t let the Pacers run off the turnovers. As for the Pacers they can’t let Josh Heart or Burnson go down hill that’s too easy man they have to be better. But besides that going to be a entertaining series 😊
Jalen is able to create space and hit some tough ones, but honestly i feel it's because he foul baits so much. It's irritating to watch. Jamal and Haliburton were essentially no shows, and that more or less made the difference. If Murray doesn't show up, who else can score for Denver? Reggie had an OK game 1, but be realistic.
Not saying the Wolves didn't play great defense, but the refs absolutely refused to give KAT his second foul early in that game. Dude was playing football out there on both ends in the first 1.5 qtrs. They let some stuff go for both teams and let them be physical, but he was most egregious for sure.

The number of ticky tack fouls called on Towns was highly suspicious to be honest, almost like the refs were purposefully trying to get him in foul trouble in both games because they knew that would be a game changer. Tons of calls on Towns made no sense, especially when combined with the way the refs allowed physical play for everyone else on both teams.
There were multiple fouls called on Towns last game in which he clearly made no contact whatsoever during a shot, near the rim. The replay even showed no contact whatsoever... but it was skimmed over and the commentators ignored all of these and just talked about other stuff while it happened.
NBA wants the Knicks to win so badly. Pretty much gave them 2 games against philly, and now this crap. They'll get stomped out when they play a real contender, regardless of how it's officiated. Go Wolves!

In the search of an identity, Minne have morphed into a team that can blast sets with their energy and length. With that said Naz, NAW, JMac, and Ant are quick too.
While the Nuggets are a progression team, that runs its system and counters, the Wolves are making them look like a finesse team, physically overmatched and unable to get into their offense.
One need consider that neither Jamal or Nikola have been beating opponents with quickness, and it seems Finch has just said we are going to get up in them and not let them flow through to their spots on the floor.
This series is a great case study on how to defend PnR, but also what type of physical gifts are required to do so.

It’s extreme but Malone might need to cut Murray’s minutes. He looked completely ineffective against the t-wolves size and length, lost all composure and played directly into their hands. 3 of 18 with 4 TOs is inexcusable. Never mind being a positive, Murray needs to focus on not being a massive negative this series. I think the nuggets still take a game or two but feels like something wild needs to happen to shift momentum. PG Jokic? More Jokic + bench lines? Spamming MPJ pick and roll and hoping he hits 50% on 3s?

If you look at these playoffs, Josh Hart is impacting in so many ways. Is it crazy to say that hes better than a guy like Paul George? I know PG is a «better player», hes more skilled, but Josh Harts impact is so consistent because the playstyle is simple, while a guy like PG is so inconsistent. When hes not scoring, hes not really doing shit, while Hart is bringing insane energy, revounding, live playmaking every game.
As a Laker fan I’m just disgusted cause we really should’ve won that series. There was clearly a flaw within this nuggets team but we couldn’t close when it mattered most. Wolves defense is looking generational. They got the size and length and a Young hungry rising superstar. I’m still not gonna count out the champs. I’ve seen series where a team lost both home games and came back still won the series. Clips vs mavs a few years ago comes to mind.

That wolves defense in the 2nd qtr was some of the most intense,efficient defense I've ever seen in my life.They were constantly hounding the nuggets with no let ups,taking gambles with hard double teaming n closeouts,dodging pick switches and even if it did happen the next person wasn't a liability.Alexander-Walker is so damn underrated on this team it's ridiculous dude was guarding full court,dodging screens,getting deflections,being just as much a disrupter as McDaniels and Edwards are on defense.

Dude was playing football out there on both ends in the first 1.5 qtrs. They let some stuff go for both teams and let them be physical, but he was most egregious for sure.

The number of ticky tack fouls called on Towns was highly suspicious to be honest, almost like the refs were purposefully trying to get him in foul trouble in both games because they knew that would be a game changer.
Tons of calls on Towns made no sense, especially when combined with the way the refs allowed physical play for everyone else on both teams.
There were multiple fouls called on Towns last game in which he clearly made no contact whatsoever during a shot, near the rim. The replay even showed no contact whatsoever... but it was skimmed over and the commentators ignored all of these and just talked about other stuff while it happened.
Refs also missed a kick ball on the Pacers on their foul call that got overturned so I’d say both kick ball plays cancel each other out.
