I honestly feel like Melrose Place really didn't start to become its own show until season 2 because the first season was too much like Beverly Hills 91210 mainly because of its connections with that show broad when season 2 came around the show really started to pick up a star to steer away from the 91210 style that the show had in its first season
True but 90210 began to feel more like Melrose Place, it became more of a soap opera itself once the cast hit college and they all slept together and then came Valerie Malone
