Ralph Macchio is truly a great American and pop culture icon. Really is a great actor and one hell of a cool guy.
i like how ralph dissed the 2010 version so honestly... he's one of the few actors in hollywood who are real people

Yup
Plot twist Johnny from the outsiders reincarnated into Daniel-san
Wha--
Jimkid2 lmao
What???!?!?
I'VE BEEN THINKING THAT FOREVER Johnny died in 1965 and Daniel was born in 1966 lmaoooo
It's the same universe lol
"They didn't listen to me, but the check did clear, so...." That is a polite way of saying "the filmmakers were idiots but I was just there to act".
Can you believe he is the same age as Mr Miyagi was in Karate Kid TWO? Yet looks so much younger than he did. I don't know if they aged Miyagi with makeup but he looks in his 60's.
To be fair, Pat Morita had a pretty hard life, so it's not surprising he aged more quickly.
Daniel Alva Baby the love x and the love 😅😅😅 the love 😅😅 the love x and the love 🏘️ the love x and the love x and the love x and the love x and the
awwww this is why he’s me favorite person ever he’s so sweet and pure I love him sm💛

Aweeee he’s too adorable still, I can’t 💛💛
I still see him as the adorable Daniel Larusso and Johnny Cade
The original will always be the best especially with Ralph macchio being the karate kid
I remember when they filmed here in Oahu back for Karate Kid 2. We passed the little village where they were filming, but I wish I had taken the time to try to go down there while they were filming to meet the cast. It would have been good to have met or at least seen all the stars when they were younger. Pat Morita used to live near Waikiki. I wished I could have run into him. He never achieved the fame and I don't know if he ever realized his legacy would be as it is today.
I love how he hints at cobra kai coming out right at the very end (something coming he can't talk about "yet")and kept a straight face the whole time while questions about the story coming back....except to say "YET"
im in love with a 59 year old man huh? no but seriously what a lovable, genuine person. he still has that mischievous charm he had in his teen idol days interviews and it's so endearing. funnily enough, his roles in the outsiders and my cousin vinny had a real impact on me and I had a crush on him in both films (when I viewed them in c.2012 and 2019) but I didn't realize they were the same actor and I never researched him further. fast forward to january 2021 and I randomly gave cobra kai a chance, got obsessed, FINALLY watched the OG karate kid movies (my parents robbed me of this viewing experience growing up lmao I saw the Kung Fu Kid when I was a kid instead, unfortunately) and FELLLLL for daniel larusso and ralph macchio in general. I'm from LI and so I mentioned him to my mom recently cuz he's from LI too and she was like oh yeah he was on dancing with the stars a couple years ago!! Of course, I had no idea who he was back then but she also said that when she was in her 20s, he walked into her job one time and she legit told me she thought he was 9 years old even though she was in her 20s and he's A YEAR OLDER THAN HER LMAO HELP
Ralph macchio is so down to earth guy I will love to meet him
When he said, "This place sucks, man!" He gave me Karate Kid flashback when I watched it as a kid.
The outsiders is my favorite book 😝🥰
I agree with Mr Macchio about remakes of old movies! Never a fan. Leave them alone and write new ones! 😁 I love Ralph Macchio! That question about Marvel comics! I’ve been confused why his name comes up in comics, now I know! 😁 the moderator was ME! I told my 12 y/o self I’d marry Ralph Macchio 🤣
i had this playing in the background while i was on my phone, and i heard "the outsiders" I LISTENED UP REALLL GOOD LMAO
SAME
We can all thank Tracy for making Ralph talk about the outsiders
I love Ralph Macchio
The Outsiders must be a good book, because out of all the books I was forced to read in school it's the only one I remember anything significant about. I'm 34 now, and I haven't read the book or watched the movie since we did so in class when I was 12.
I read the book in 97 and then I watched the movie...
I feel like his role in teachers could have been johnny cade if he went to school HAHA
Same lol
yesss
and then chooch from up the academy couldve been him in boarding school
I am just a few years younger than Ralph Macchio, I grew up watching him in the Outsiders, Karate Kid, Teacher's, My Cousin Vinny..ect.
I had the HUGEST crush on him & I had his posters plastered in my bedroom.
I absolutely LOVE Ralph's acting & he's still absolutely Gorgeous!!!
I've ALWAYS dreamt of possibly meeting you one day.
Thank You Ralph for ALL the Wonderful Awesome movies you made
Ralph is an icon
But Jayden Smith was trained in Kung Fu,...& they titled it "The Karate Kid" which makes no sense.
McKellar I know hey!? Even Jackie Chan was joking about it.
Exactly. So odd to change it to Kung fu. In asia the film is titled The Kung Fu Dream.
I love this guys! Humble and kind...and talented as well. Love yah.. Ralph Macchio
No remake of the karate kid will ever be as good as the originals
Mad respect for Johnny Cade and David LaRusso. Two characters I absolutely love.
Daniel Larusso
who tf is david larusso☠️
Everyone talks about the outsiders karate kid and my cousin vinny quick are all amazing movie but did they forget about teachers 😂 Ralph wasn’t a big roll in it but he was still good in it 😂
I'll look for that film, thanks!
Hey I know it’s been a year lol but I’ve recently fallen in love with Ralph Macchio and I’m wondering if you know where I could find teachers??
after watching karate kid i start loving the cast and the nostalgia in feelings to live that era.❤️
This is a great Q&A and such a thrill to watch! I've always been a Ralph Macchio fan. There aren't many actors like him around. He seems so approachable and nice and generous with his fans. This Q&A also answered a big question I had as far as The Karate Kid Part III. At 15:20 somebody asks him a question I would probably ask him. How would he make the movie differently? Great stuff and I agree with what he says about that film.
“Have you seen the new karate kid?”
Ralph: 👁 👁
👃
👄
He never ages
Is Ralph 55? Wow. My Cousin Vinnie is my fav movie, even hes not the star
Can you believe he's as old as Mr Miyagi was in Karate Kid TWO? Yet he looks so much younger than he did. So does Johnny. I don't know if they aged Miyagi with makeup but he looks in his 60's.
Pat Morita was a party type of guy.. Known to be the type that would start the day with a cigarette and bloody marry
@@VolkXue Pat Morita died pretty young... He was in his early 70s when he died.
Roger you might be using the term young pretty loose there.
46:48 is so cool. :)
Writers, please do a new film with Joe Pesci and Ralph Macchio!
Im naming my child johnny
NO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM
31:12 this question holds up to well
I bow down to my English teacher for creating this monster
This guy has gotta be completely drained answering the same Questions over and over.
Talk about a drag.
He’s so amazing! I hope to meet him someday!🥺💕
Great guy
i wish people would talk about crossroads more
love people that are original and not afraid to be honest.. you have less friend's but you live on with dignity.. Tks Ralf. big fan.
Muito obrigado, Daniel, Ralph. 🙏
Thank tou very mutch, Daniel. Ralph.🙏Namaste.
He was born in 1961.
Can anybody imagine that he was 55 when this presentation was recorded?
If I had a question my question would be did you know how to play a guitar in crossroads or did you know how to play it
He always looked younger than he really is. He was 22 years old in the original Karate Kid (though his character of Daniel was younger), but he only looked 15. Every time I watch that original movie, I can't believe he was 22. In real life, he was older than all of the other kids on the show (including Elisabeth Shue) but looked much younger. Even to this day, he looks a lot younger than 62.
Our "bike" and staying perfectly in the middle is the best to reconnect and know is the "best around". Stay safe everyone!
Gosh, Lisa has a goddamn knockout smile.
Who is she?
She has a perpetual smile!
He needs to drop his skin care routine 🙈😝
I have no desire to see any remake of The Karate Kid, Point Break, Red Dawn, etc. It's a travesty that they are so desperate that they have to resort to remaking these classics. Get a mind of your own.
Sideler74 point break was redone, somewhat...there is an Australian version of Red Dawn
Then why did you watch this and take the time to comment on it?
that hurricanedude I wonder how she feels now after watching cobra Kai
Its not a remake its a sequel.
Now what do you think of Cobra Kai
And now Ralph & Jackie Chan is making a new Karate Kid movie!🙌
Definitely not a fan of the new karate kid, ya can't mess with a classic!!!
Ralph, I think you should do a series called Cobra Kai.... just a thought.
Some of Ralph’s answers are very interesting. Little did we all know, at the time of this event Cobra Kai was in existence and Season 1 started filming a month after this event also! Cobra Kai Never Dies!
"Out-"
Me: IM LISTENING
Watching RUclips till 4am........DO IT FOR JOHNNY
At the favorite horror movie question I had this voice in my head even before Ralph answer saying, he is about to say Silence of the Lambs.
"Do you work at the sac 'o' suds?" LOL
Please someone ask him for his favorite songs in the original karate kid movie!!!!
Ralph macchio is very nice to people and hope one day I can see him and. Hope stay been very nice to people❤😮😊😮❤l
*He Looked Like 26!!!!
The original Karate Kid inspired me to take Tae Kwon Do...
You're the Aisha of Cobra Kai lol!
Haha I do tae kwon do, i got my black belt a few years ago, hows it going for you?
this q & a left me jungSHOOK. but seriously I love this guy to the moon and back❤️❤️❤️❤️😭👏😍
The remake sucked tbh... he was way too nice
This man is pushing 60 it's crazy he looks 40
The Silence Of The Lambs is the only horror movie to ever win the Academy Award for Best Picture. People try to say it's a thriller these days, but no, it was marketed and promoted as a horror movie and the studio considered it a horror movie, releasing it in January, which (no pun intended) is the graveyard time for putting movies out. It's the dumping ground for films the studio thinks they can't do anything with. It was word of mouth and great reviews that saved the movie, but it never stopped being a bona fide horror movie. It's just dressed up like a procedural thriller, but that's a very thin guise.
I thought he was 22 in the outsiders and then he said he was 18 going on 19 or whatever. Well I mean they have to film so ig when the movie came out he was 22, and in the film he was like 19.
I was confused on that too.. also I heard that Thomas Howell was 16 going on 17 but he was actually younger. It all makes sense now.
My family lives on Oahu
How long was it til they film cobra kai from this interview?
I can't wait for the revival
An ad every two minutes?
😂😂😂❤😊
29:41 why he so CUTE for ?!
3:06 Cobra kai Daniel and Robbie
THE REMAKE 😵 😵 😵 suxxxxxx
NEED MORE ORIGINAL COBRA KAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder if they had started work on Cobra Kai at this stage...
There's only Karate Kid Part 1 2 and 3. That's it for me! 3 is my favorite in the Karate Kid anthology.
Really? I felt 3 was better than 2 just because he was fighting cobra kai again but 3 was such a let down to what it could of been
In cobra ki I've thought about spiritual leaders to Danny larusso
