After 2 years of trying to get to Branson to see the Petersen's I finally got to go. My wife planned the trip as a surprise for me on our 48th Wedding Anniversary. It was their first concert of the season at the Theatre and believe me, I was NOT disappointed. I was like a kid in a candy store. Then we got to meet and talk with Matt and Ellen after the show. Thank you Petersen's for your wonderful music and your friendliness. I had the time of my life. They are going to be in Grapevine Texas in July and I promise that if the hens lay and the creek don't rise, my wife and I will be there.

This one shows Katie's ability to make that 5 string sound more like a viola. That, combined with Karen actually bowing the bass makes this sound almost haunting.
The are so talented but I've never seen any indication of jealousy. I love that each of them has their specialty, but the blend so well together. Love this family!

Not matter how often I watch this video or their others, it's really impressive that how everyone one of them play a very unique and incredibly gifted role ..and when you go.onto a new video all of a sudden the person who was playing one instrument now has a completely different one..and playing like a classical musician then the dang next song he or she is nailing a solo tune..it is really oddly amazing
