@@grey5920 well the thing is this anime is heavily based on emotions, mental disorders , psychology, Mecha and etc , The thing I liked most about is that whenever I saw Shinji I could see myself in him like all the things he does and feels I have went thru those and still going , I felt understood , I felt for the first time that I'm not alone and there is a place for me too , the way these things are expressed are very complex and intricate so most people who can't relate wouldn't get it and I don't blame them tho , also some things might really piss you off but I tried to put myself in their shoes , this anime will take a toll on your mind When I finished it I felt so empty , so many thing I couldn't even understand and express , I literally had an existential crisis and mental breakdown lmao it really did take a toll on me , I need therapy but I can't so Evangelion and Shinji is my emotional support So I would suggest if you're curious just give it a try and there are a lot of theories you can find which will make you understand it better ( Sorry for this long ass paragraph it's just too hard to explain Evangelion in a few words )
