Sometimes, a relationship is so perfect that you can fit a lifetime into just a decade or so. I believe that’s what these two did.
I'm just a fan but I am still heartbroken over Joey's death. It's like she was family. I've never been this affected by the death of someone I didn't know. It's so unfair they didn't have more time together. RIP, Joey.

This was about a year before she gave birth to their baby girl and then was diagnosed with cervical cancer on her postpartum appt. God has plans for us we don’t know are coming our way but God is always good and knows best so, we continue to praise him just like Joey did even to her last breath. And how Rory lives to praise him without her. God bless him and their daughter, Indiana.

Joey & Rory's love story, is so much like mine & my late husband's love story. We did everything together. We played music together, wrote music....laughed & loved. My beloved late husband is and always will be, my soulmate.
Sadly, too many people "settle" for just anyone to avoid being alone. That is a tragedy. I prayed for God To bring the man He created JUST for me into my life...
And God answered my prayers. We were married 11 years, also, before JB passed away from Terminal Esophageal cancer. I will never get over him....or past this consuming grief. But I take comfort in knowing JB is singing in God's Choir.....I sometimes hear his voice as the breeze softly blows. God bless Rory and his girls. God bless Joey.....for she has been restored whole and is in a better place in the Divine presence of God and Jesus Christ!

Ive never seen true love the way these two reflect that in each other. I am amazed, blown away, and utterly taken a back by their faith in the Lord and in each other. Just speechless at the moment.......my heart is breaking for Rory right now. I wish him the best as he moves forward in life.

This kind of love happened to me too, it is wonderful, and even though he is now gone, he will never ever be forgotten. I wish that everyone could at sometime in their life experience this for themselves.
My husband was a single dad when we married. And it's like my mama always said anyone can be a father. It takes a special man to be a dad. We've been married 28 yrs now. Someone like him and my husband are special
they fit a lifetime of love in alittle over a decade. its so overwhelming. im so glad that they found one another, and had an opportunity to live perfectly for the time they had together. God Bless Rory and the girls. May Joey watch them all from the beautiful Heavens.

What a beautiful relationship Rory and Joey had . Indiana is a real sweetheart. Thankyou for all the work you put in to making these wonderful videos and sharing them with everyone . Rory , you are a special person . One of my Dad's favourite songs was , "Have I told You Lately That I Love You" also and he was a section foreman for the Canadian National Railroad . He died in 1967 of leukemia when I was 20. He sang and played the harmonica and would have have loved these videos of yours .May God continue to bless your life.

Violet Miller is right. I just stumbled upon their music recently, their 1st CD and I fell in love with the sound. It's a fairytale how they got together, but so sad that God took Joey so early. It's hard to describe the feelings and loss for someone I don't know; but God bless Rory.

Keith...what man wouldn’t? The diff between you and some other man is what you will bring to the table to get a woman like that in your life. What will you do...or give? Rory had a God given talent for being a good single dad and songwriter. He made joey’s dreams his priority and his dreams. Would you, could you, do that? That’s how you get a woman like that. A wonderful testimony. I also get so moved by watching this 😢. Don’t know Rory nor didn’t know Joey or her family but just came across their story through a Gaither song video “Sometimes it takes a mountain”. Love Joey+Rory’s songs and just listened to them singing “I need Thee every hour”. Feel so for the family and pray that Gods peace be with them through it all. Two weeks ago we had a funeral for my beloved father in law. He went to be with the Lord. 16 years ago also my father went to be with the Lord. Sometimes our beloved leave too fast and we don’t know why. But we miss them dearly. This we know, we shall meet again - in that sweet by and by. God bless you precious family from an unknown swede.
