Hello. How much time have you spent on stabilization?

Doesn't seem practical for an accident scene where time is essential. Interesting concept, probably better for construction and stabilization.

Andrew Galpern I'm curious, what would you consider a more practical approach?

Just a lift bag in the small void between the passenger and the engine, if there was no time for the other equipment (severe injury, risk of explosion, etc.) Are all the blocks really a standard equipment set on fire department vehicles?

The purpose of the technique is to perform a parallel lift of the vehicle in order to lift both sides evenly. If this were a simple pin perhaps your technique would be fine. I'd actually prefer the hydraulic spreader & TL9 stabilizer. The issue arises when the person is pinned across the vehicle or you have more than 1 person pinned. Your single point tilting lift causes the other side of the vehicle to drop down potentially causing further injuries on the opposite side of the vehicle whereas this technique lifts the entire car evenly. Another benefit is the space created to tray cut the roof or displace the dash as needed. Yes where I work we have the resources to perform this manuever.
