When I first started watching your channel, I told my husband how I loved that something seemed to go wrong in almost every video and that you left those mishaps in the videos. Love how you stay professional but don't edit to make it look like everything is perfect every time. You make it so relatable and educational. ❤️

HEY Louise I have a question about substituting something for the noodles. I live in the UK and the only type of egg noodles we have here is the Asian type of noodles. I really miss America style noodles. Do you think maybe shell or another type of pasta would work, and if so what would the pressure cook time be?

Yes, definitely! I follow some folks who do mukbangs, and usually they’ll keep it real, but do tend to resort to packaged ramen, and ready-made this and that, saying “Today I made (such-and-such).. I hate it when they do that. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I make a creamy chicken noodle soup and watched this video to try it in the pc and it turned out great. Just as good as cooking it on the stove. Had to adjust a little on the broth to accommodate the noodles and add a bit more of my seasonings but it was actually creamier and a bit thicker the the stove method. Loved how it made the job quicker and not as much cleanup. Because of you Louise, I love cooking now. You are appreciated much more than you know!

Whenever I make bone broth, I smash the bones (wrapped in butcher paper) with a meat hammer to insure that the marrow gets into the broth. I hope that helps some of you.

I can’t say it enough...how I really enjoy watching you cook. Sorry sometimes things go wrong during taping, but thanks for sharing the experience with us.
My mother was a terrible cook, my father did most of the cooking. He had a old time pressure cooking going on the stove, my mother couldn’t leave it alone..lol, she messed with it, while he was outside...anyway..it blew up..scared the living..you know what out of me, I was little kid..well dad was upset but started laughing because the seal was missing. They looked everywhere...well except on the ceiling lol she never messed with anything he started cooking and I’ve never tried using anything like a pressure cooker in my life. I’m now 53 and still no..lol
But that little accident that happened here...would have and did freak me out. Idk what I would have done and you was so calm and cool about it. I prefer to bake vs cook.
But love love your stuff. Thanks again for sharing everything that happens. Sorry for my long story here.

Thank you so much! Those old time pressure cookers are much scarier than the new electric ones! I hope you try it sometime! If not, I get it though! Happy New Year!

Hey hun, love your recipes! The reason you got all that foamy steam is the noodle starch! Put in 2 cups of noodles next time or you need to do a natural release all the way with like a 0 min cook time. Or use a different noodle. Eggies always foam up no matter what I do with em in a pressure cook. For anyone who doesn't want to deal with that, a farfalle or some other actual non egg PASTA noodle works better. :)

Thanks! I would agree with you if it wasn't for the fact that I made it this exact way 3 other times and never had that happen and when I checked the cap it was clogged partially with thyme leaves. I also had a friend make it and it didn't happen to her. This time, I think it was the clogged cap, but you are exactly right that pasta can cause foam. A zero cook time with a full NR would most likely overcook the noodles, but a zero cook time with a 10 minute natural release is a good option. I'll wait for feedback to see if anyone has the issue that I did and if so, I can always change the recipe after testing it again.
