We positioned ahead of some intense supercell thunderstorms in southeastern Oklahoma that produced up to 3-inch hail and prompted several tornado warnings. We caught visuals of both storms' mesocyclones/rotating updrafts, but there was not enough low-level rotation to produce tornadoes.
The second storm moved slowly toward us around dusk, offering a stunning display of clear-air lightning around the rotating updraft tower and beneath the anvil directly overhead.

Great video!...love the power of nature!
Normally, a weakening thunderstorm do not maintain positive-charged lightning unless more thunderstorms grow and merge with it. Then the new t-storm(s) overcomes the old one(s), and the lightning keeps going. In mesocyclone storms, positive-charged lightning never stops until the main meso tower shrinks and is vaporized. When there is no more lightning left to observe, consider it dead and unchaseable.
I love!
From 2:14 Oohh wow natures beauty! ❤ Wish your camera was 4K for this, even more beautiful. Only one minus on the video: Why not capture the thunder instead of music? It would be complete. Hear it on 3:19, we miss it all to the other lightning.
number one thing I’m not scared of thunder lightning tornado
