went to the bush hall for the launch of the minutes great single and what a storming return Alison when Alison's contemporaries outputs were cover albums Alison comes back with an universally acclaimed and top 5 album the minutes so pleased as she is incredible talent
+David Ryan Hi David, I was at the same gig and your spot on, it was a great gig and a winning return to the sound that suits and compliments her vocals perfectly, electronica. Alison is currently writing for her follow up and it would be great if she really mix up the producer arrangements on the next one...
+Paul Kennedy ...and by `producer arrangements` I mean rather sticking with just 1 Producer for the entire album as everyone else seems to do, it would be great to see her do an entire album of up-tempo numbers by working with D.J/Producers. Disclosure/Mark Ronson/99 Souls, would be a good start!
Love "The Minutes". She just keeps blowing me away. True musician and artist. Loved her since the early 80''s. Thank you for keeping on giving.
She has no peer, she is the whole package intelligence grace and that voice, her beautiful lyrics..saw her live in Seattle, I teared up.

Hi Suzanne, your absolutely spot on. Alison`s voice with the cool electronica is a perfect match. She did go through the early 90`s trying to introduce a `rockier` sound to her music with extra guitars and what have you, especially on the `Essex` album....The record company sent the whole album back into the studio for extensive remixing as they (Sony) did not like the finished article...

Chris Elms is gorgeous and very talented. Obviously Guy Sigsworth is very well known in the music industry. Then add one of the best and most recognised voices in the history of the UK charts and the result is amazing They should begin to make the follow up album...RIGHT NOW!!! :-)

Notice her very "firm" grip on that microphone? Like, "Don't you dare come near this! Mine! All mine!" Kidding! Or...or, am I?

Secondly, speaking of Sigourney Weaver: a couple of those "80's videos" Alison did, and in all that 80's look, might have easily past-off for an alien off spring! ...just sayin.
good song. not the best on th.e (excellent) album that's for certain. the most pop sounding though so is guess that's why it's the single. i agree on 'place to stay'. fantastic song. i guess that's why it's NOT the single.
Album is amazing but this is one of the weaker songs in my opinion.. 'place to stay' is her best song in years!
