  • The Garden of Skills was set up in 2021 in Eswatini by Designing Hope thanks to the Porte-Bonheurs operation, with the support of Bon Marché Rive Gauche. A one-hectare plot of land, acquired by Designing Hope and its local partner NGO Fundzisa Live, is being transformed into a thriving agroforestry garden. The Garden of Skills also includes a training centre for sustainable agriculture techniques, a greenhouse for the production of organic seeds (in collaboration with the company Agrosemens), a workshop for training in sewing and handicrafts with a local outlet, a kitchen equipped for the processing and conservation of the garden's vegetables and hosting workshops to raise awareness about nutrition. A chalet is also dedicated to volunteerism, both to share skills and contribute to the running of the garden, but also to follow training courses given by the garden's beneficiaries. Presentation by Cyrille Varet, President of the Association.
