They were so great. And whatever their differences, johnny and morrissey were at their best together. I kind of agree with morrisey's recent statement regarding the smiths( about how his importance has been downgraded ) as a guitar player i am a HUGE fan of johnny, however, i feel in the pursuit of political correctness, he(johnny) has thrown his old songwriting partner under the bus.
Johnnys playing is fantastic as usual..that bowl cut just reeks of cool.
