- Celebrating almost 35 years since Electronic first released 'Getting Away With It' in December 1989, it was wonderful to see Pet Shop Boys' Neil Tennant reunited with Johnny Marr for a live version to close the main set.
Neil was an extra special surprise guest who Johnny brought on stage just for this London show. - Видеоклипы
Was lucky enough to be there. What a moment ❤
LUCKY YOU!!! AWESOME❤
Neil has always had the voice to make any song shine
Spot on on there fella 🙌
When Johnny plays the little riff at the start and Neil has that little smirk, its clear we are in the presence of greatness!!
Absolute legends! Love the singalong. The world needs a new Electronic album sooo badly....
Yes! They did a trilogy in the 90s. All great. We need more! ❤
Electronic was the best 'supergroup' of all time :)
Words straight out of my mouth for the last 30 years.
Travelling wilburys . Thankyou !
Was there and place went through the roof when Johnny brought out Neil. A great moment from a fabulous gig. Johnny sounding better than ever
Was Neil a surprise?
Neil and Johnny together are great. Come on Barney. Let’s have another Electronic banger.
Incredible ❤ what I would do to hear another electronic album
I was also the big fan of Electronic. Both lohnny Marr's gurtar and Neil's vocal was as awesome as ever👍✨🎵😉
Wow, Neil brought it to a whole other level
Because class is class
What I would do to see this live. Phenomenal! Bring Electronic back to the people! ❤
Love how the crowd is singing along with this. So in to it! Great tune!
So many musicians and artists worked with the pet shop boys, and the electronic album is such a masterpiece album. All the tracks Jonny Marr worked on take each song to another level.
Wow!!! Amazing ! Neil tennant wonderful as always😊
..."1989...I love you more than you love me!" Love Neil!
Life affirming.
The single most coolest thing I’ve ever seen
1989
I remember hearing the song for the first time in late 1989. The record hasn't aged at all. Still fresh as a daisy. The lyrics really meant a lot to me at the time. I got over that unrequited love. A beautiful song and brilliant lyrics - as always - by Neil and Bernard.
Neil & Johnny. GREAT !!!!
Lyrics (to the best of my ability, feel free to correct the missing lyrics):
I've been walking in the rain just to get wet on purpose
I've been forcing myself not to forget just to feel worse
I've been getting away with it all my life (Getting away with it)
I've been getting away with it all my life (Getting away)
I hate that mirror, it makes me feel so worthless
I'm an original sinner but when I'm with you I couldn't care less
I've been getting away with it all my life (Getting away with it)
I've been getting away with it all my life (Getting away)
However I look, it's clear to see
I love you more than you love me
However I look, it's clear to see
I love you more than you love me
I love you more than you love me
I love you more than you love me
I thought I gave up falling in love a long, long time ago
I guess I like it but I can't tell you, you shouldn't really know
And it's been true all my life
It's been true all my life

🎶 1989 🎶
I absolutely loved it yesterday. Best thing I’ve seen live for a long long time
Marr’s arpeggios after the solo are sublime
Thank you for recording this song!!! So jealous that you got to see this live! ❤
Fucking amazing!!
Loved that tune....1989
Brilliant ich liebe den Song heute noch Zeitlos ganz toll gesungen von Johnny Marr ❤❤❤
Amazing performance! I was blessed to have seen the boys in Brazil last year. Thank you, boys, for the soundtrack of my life. God bless you.
Legendary tune ❤
1989 magic year!
Oh how I wish I could have seen this live
Why couldn’t they’ve done this at the NO PSB Unity Tour?
@@starlodear2987no they aint lol
I agree! Was a missed opportunity. But I bet the Neil didn’t like the fact that Bernard’s voice was often off key and pitch. 😅
Never mind that! They didn't even do the Unity Tour in their home country. You were lucky 😃
I bet Bernie was reluctant 😂
Neil est une star
Un nouvel album des PSB sort bientôt.
Eletronic!!!
I was born in 1989!
Fantastic. Thanks for sharing
Wonderful!!!
That was class 👍
Love this song so much! Great to see them perform it. The best!
Very special performance!
Que dicha que vuelvan a trabajar juntos johnny marr y los pet shop boys Neil siempre tan guapo y su voz es excelente
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏻Don't get a job as a camera operator - felt a bit sick at times watching this😆
I know, and I won't, sorry about that! I'm often watching the show directly rather than through the camera screen when taking these memento videos, which often increases the 'rough seas' effect unfortunately! Possibly made worse for this one by increased comings and goings of people around us, and singing along with my better half! 😂
@@Automorph Understandable 😂 Envious of you all at the gig.
Thank you for sharing ❤
legendary
EMOCIONANTE !!!!😻❤️🤗🇨🇱
PSB para sempre eterno fã primeira vez qe escutei pet shop boys em 1989 eu tinha 6 anos era dominó dancing, eu montava no triciclo e saia pedalando cantando essa música dominó dancing, daí pra lá levo os comigo
Love.
Нил Теннант ❤❤❤
Brilliant !
Good one.
Fantastic !!!! thank you so much !!!!
Thank you for Sharing!!
just needed Bernard to make it perfect!
Love a bit of electronic
Que du bonheur Merci
What Neil sings on 1989? It's wonderful that they are performing together again.❤
See siduri's comment for the lyrics
wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww amaizin time !!
Very cool. The spectacular Bernard Sumner was missing, to complete the show...
Fantastic song.. ❤
What a magical moment!
I always love this song
Have a look at the Jonny Marr orchestra version from Manchester December 2023 👍
Soo good 💯
Neil Tennant is 70 this year 😊😅😮
Wonder why Pets and New Order didn't perform this during Unity US tour
Focking Legends!!
The lead guitar is very clean.
That song could only be written in Manchester, it must be their national anthem
Epic
It's obviously in the fingers for any guitarist, but having bought a capo, or given a capo after 45 years of playing, and I've unlocked a lot of Johnny Marrs playing, normally on the second fret, and all those Smiths songs suddenly have that sound and feel.
Can't wait for July date in Warsaw!
This is fucking naughty
❤❤❤
🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Luv
Top😊
💙💙💙💙💙💙
Of course it took Johnny “Fucking” Marr to make this semi reunion happen this
when a missed opportunity during PSB/New Order tour!
Great videos with Neil. Was it just 2 songs he came on to sing?
Team Morrissey but Marr is class live.Saw him last year with low expectations but was blown away
❤❤👍🇲🇽
Love this...where's Barney!?
Need DISSAPOINTED live!!!!
Come on guys. Let's see Electronic reform.
Getting Away With It is a GREAT track.. catchy and totally relatable.
Johnny wouldn't stand for Moz' antics and you know Neil would probably never either. He would never work with Moz...And then there's Siouxsie, who recorded her Interlude vocals separately from him.
E che cazzo....❤
New Order & Neil Tennet, Original
just needs barney to make it perfect :)
It's like watching your grandad and his brothers on stage . Like the cast of Last of the Summer Wine
DISSAPOINTED???? 😢
please be joking
Abysmal
Moaning for money
Can’t stand Tennant’s wimpy vocals.
Fantastico
still an astonishing tune!!!!!!!!!!!
Que lindo!♥️🇧🇷
Even though this is Johnny Marr's second best song since he broke up The Smiths, it's still not as good as any of Morrissey's solo songs.
You can't compare them at all. Totally different style.
