I got the Samsung galaxy fit2 and I am very happy with it. At this price range I am getting all the features that I truly need. And the beast of a battery life and accurate measurements make for compelling reasons to get it! Its basically just the ability to control music, as in pause/skip when there's a track ' now playing on your phone, you can't directly download the Spotify app to it 👍
Do I have to connect it to my phone to make the fit2 track and count my steps and calories? Or the watch can count steps and at the end of the day I can sync it with my phone?
Does this have built in GPS? Could've sworn i read a couple weeks ago that they've added it (original didn't have it you had to use the location on your phone) If so this would be a reason to upgrade alone.
Ive had a good look and cant seem to find anything on it, theres a possibility you're getting mixed up with the 'gear fit 2' I'll update you if I find anything, but pretty sure it doesn't!
@@TechItEasyCollective No I own the original galaxy fit and was reading specifically about the fit 2, and whatever article I was reading said that it takes the 2 week battery down to just 5 hours as a trade off lol, but still better than nothing right. I just have been watching a few reviews and nobody's mentioned it again so maybe that article was mistaken.

I’ve used it for a few days and be pleasantly surprised especially for the price. I’ve used a Fitbit for years but spotting connection with my phone regarding text messages and phone calls notifications. This has been more reliable. I just hate the band, wish I can find a replacement for.

Aha thanks buddy! Appreciate it! So the inspire is more advanced when it comes to sleep tracking and calorie count so if thats what youre wanting I'd get that, just bare in mind battery life isn't quite as good. The galaxy fit 2 is your budget option for your 'bare minimum' fitness tracking :)

Cheers! The galaxy fit 2 doesn't have built in GPS, so you would have to bring your phone with you, I dont think there is a way to do it without, I would test for you but Im in the process of moving house so bit stuck for time at the moment!

I bought a Galaxy Fit 2 and my only disappointment was the lack of emoji support. If you send a message like "want me to get some bread from the supermarket?" and the person replies 👍🏾 (thumbs up), the Galaxy Fit just shows the word "Emoji" on the screen. A bit annoying, especially when my Pebble watch from 2103 can show emoji replies!
Yeah a really good point, but this isnt really a smartwatch, its your bare basics for fitness tracking, I think it serves its purpose, with a few added extras like being able to read texts and decline calls. Maybe emoji support is something that could come in an update !

Hi, there is no option to turn bluetooth off, however the tracking will still work when out of range of your phone, then it will sync with the health app once you get get close to your phone again. I hope that helps!
No unfortunately not, you'd need a smart watch for that sort of thing, you can control music playing on your phone, as in pause, play and skip, but your phone has to be near, hope that helps!

Yes it is touchscreen :) I havent tested it swimming, but it is waterproof up to 50M, walking and running it is basically the same as the Apple watch series 6 and the Galaxy watch, So i have no doubt it will be just fine for other activities :)

Thanks! Yes I believe thats the case, when testing I would go for a run with the fit 2 on and then wear my galaxy watch 3 around the house, it all synced up!

No you don't pair the 2 devices together, its the samsung health app that syncs the data, so when you switch devices on your phone I think youre given the option to sync, so its samsung health that collates the data, I think then it is updates on which ever device youre currently wearing, hope that makes sense!

Youre welcome! If youre wearing it 24/7 it will drain faster, but for example mine I have been wearing it on and off, and still has 50% charge since doing the review! Just depends on usage! There is no camera controller on this watch buddy.
@@dekuasta8215 I have mine on all the time. Heart rate monitor is always on, sleep trackers on always, screen is set about 6 and I use about 10% a day. I heard if you disconnect the Bluetooth from your phone it'll get longer battery life, just connect to your phone to download the tracking stuff to your phone from the watch.

Hi, just found you on YT and interested in this review. Would it compliment the Galaxy Watch i already have? Currently use and old fitbit charge 2 for sleep but it can no longer export sleep data to other apps. Hence me looking at this. Your opinion greatly appreciated. I could of course switch to fitbit completely I suppose.

I did a test in the video where I compared it to the galaxy watch and Apple watch series 6 and the heart rate reading was the same:) as for the quick replies, I've only tested it with a Samsung phone so I can't say I'm afraid !

@@vivekaswal9426 I have a note 10+ buddy so no way of testing it, it should be fine though usually they work with any devices with Bluetooth 4.0 and higher :)
Hmm well it should work fine, check wifi is on, or 4g, whatever you use, check its definitely connected to the watch, if you have another Samsung wearable device it can sometimes default to that, worst case, try restating both and see if it works. Also make sure you've added the weather widget in the app
Let me share my experience.. after long live chat with agent from wearable and troubleshooting he directed me to Samsung service centre .. then they paired with different Samsung there it's fine with note 8 and same issue with another s7 edge .. finally refund and I got mi band 5 and it's much better love it ....
I dont want to comment on that buddy as I havent tested, I did compare it to flagship smartwatches in the video though and it was exactly the same, hope that helps!
It depends on usage, if you have all tracking features turned on, like continuous heart rate tracking, then it will drain a lot faster, try dialing back some of the settings 👍
It's like I need a S20 ultra but only for calling😂 If u need only for calling go for Nokia rugged phone😂 In the same way if u want fitness tracking all those then have a look here Else why ?😂
Good question, the galaxy fit is still going for £90, which is almost double the price of the fit 2, so Id probably say consider waiting for the next version to avoid wasting money, but then again it is so cheap, that if you did want a slimmer, more modern design, then go for it, depends on your finances I guess!

Youre welcome! If youre wearing it 24/7 it will drain faster, but for example mine I have been wearing it on and off, and still has 50% charge since doing the review! Just depends on usage! There is no camera controller on this watch buddy.

@@dekuasta8215 I have mine on all the time. Heart rate monitor is always on, sleep trackers on always, screen is set about 6 and I use about 10% a day. I heard if you disconnect the Bluetooth from your phone it'll get longer battery life, just connect to your phone to download the tracking stuff to your phone from the watch.

also please also unbox a amazfit verge lite... it seems to be a hybrid of smartwatch and fitness band with gps and couple of other features.. bractically a cheaper version of galaxy watch... and later a comparision between galaxy fit 2 and verge lite...
Thanks for the suggestion! I will try and get to that, I have a comparison with the mi band 5 coming soon! And unfortunately this does not have GPS, this is for.the very basics of fitness tracking :)

Hi, just found you on YT and interested in this review. Would it compliment the Galaxy Watch i already have? Currently use and old fitbit charge 2 for sleep but it can no longer export sleep data to other apps. Hence me looking at this. Your opinion greatly appreciated.

Hi! Yes if you already have a galaxy watch I would grab this too, the syncing it pretty much automatic, so its really easy!

@@Andy-bx5cv yeay I absolutely agree with you with the current price of the original Galaxy watch its almost better value than the galaxy watch 3, that being said there are excellent trade in deals at the moment on Samsung. Keep hold of your galaxy watch until the next version drops id say!

Question here... Just bought this smartband and i wanna know how can i connect the phone's GPS to the band??? Is there a way to see the map of our track??
I could have sworn it showed me the other day, on the workout section it has the GPS symbol in the top right, I will go for a run with it on tonight and work it out for you!

I know it will work on Iphone just fine, but unsure about strava, as it doesnt have built in GPS, it uses your phone GPS, hope that helps a little!

Hey buddy I just double checked for you and it does have a cycling tracking feature, I dont cycle though so can't test it for you, but the feature is there!

Hey, you don't have a basic description of what data you provide during training! that is the basic thing you need to test, if the emphasis is on sports then present it! you are talking about aesthetics and not about functionality. I now don't know what I have from the data when I go out to run !?

I did a test in the video where I compared it to the galaxy watch and Apple watch series 6 and the heart rate reading was the same:) as for the quick replies, I've only tested it with a Samsung phone so I can't say I'm afraid !

Unfortunately not buddy, but you can set the screen time out to 5 mins, that's as close as you will get!

Hmm well it should work fine, check wifi is on, or 4g, whatever you use, check its definitely connected to the watch, if you have another Samsung wearable device it can sometimes default to that, worst case, try restating both and see if it works. Also make sure you've added the weather widget in the app

Let me share my experience.. after long live chat with agent from wearable and troubleshooting he directed me to Samsung service centre .. then they paired with different Samsung there it's fine with note 8 and same issue with another s7 edge .. finally refund and I got mi band 5 and it's much better love it ....

I dont want to comment on that buddy as I havent tested, I did compare it to flagship smartwatches in the video though and it was exactly the same, hope that helps!

No you can't get apps on this device and it doesn't have GPS unfortunately!

It depends on usage, if you have all tracking features turned on, like continuous heart rate tracking, then it will drain a lot faster, try dialing back some of the settings 👍

Should I upgrade from my Galaxy Fit to Galaxy Fit 2?
Good question, the galaxy fit is still going for £90, which is almost double the price of the fit 2, so Id probably say consider waiting for the next version to avoid wasting money, but then again it is so cheap, that if you did want a slimmer, more modern design, then go for it, depends on your finances I guess!

My biggest reason for wanting it is the bigger screen, having it be just a little bigger will make a big differences IMO.
Also, I already ordered one, I was just curious if I made the right decision or not.
