- Muslim teachers claim that the Quran is chock full of scientific claims and truths that could only have been revealed by God, and therefore the Quran is true. How could an illiterate trader in the Arabian desert have known these things if they were not revealed by divine revelation? But how do these scientific claims stand up to modern scrutiny? Are they really miraculous? Was Muhammad really all that ignorant? (Spoiler: He gets everything wrong.)
Islamic scholars, like those of Christianity, believe that it is possible, through apologetics, to show that the claims of Islam and the Quran are true. In this series, Al Fadi and David Wood explore some of the logical arguments that Muslims use to prove Islam's truth to believers and defend it against attacks from non-believers.

In 1945 my Dad was with the British army in Egypt. He was helping in a transit camp processing German, Italian and Austrian prisoners of War getting them sent back their home countries.Cholera broke out in the nearby Egyptian village The British army offered to send engineers to ensure clean water for the village. The elders in the village refused, people died. Looking at what Mohammed said about water that explains it.

My first conversation with a Muslim, before I knew anything about Islam and was interested to learn, involved him telling me a scientific miracle and my telling him why it was definitely something a 7th century illiterate man would have known. Repeat about 20 times. The Muslim struggled to understand why I was not in awe.

Abu Al-Qasim At-Tabarani recorded that Abu Hurayrah said that the Messenger of Allah was asked, “O Allah’s Messenger! Will we have sexual intercourse with our wives in Paradise” He said, “The man will be able to have sexual intercourse with a hundred virgins in one day.”
Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Hadith Number 2536:
The Prophet said: “The believer will be given tremendous strength in Paradise for sexual intercourse.” It was questioned: “O prophet of Allah! Can he do that?” He said: “He will be given the strength of one hundred persons.”

But do you not see? You tell us that we know Islam is true because the Quran is full of miracles, prophecies and is perfect with no contradictions. But the miracles and prophecies are nonsense and there are contradictions. So why would I believe?
Christianity is not based on such piddling claims so you are wasting your time. The Bible was written by men, inspired by God. Different men report different things. Not a problem for us.
It is the whole, incredible story, from the fall of man. With every subsequent book of the Bible prophecying and promising Jesus, the Messiah with a profundity and uncanny consistency. Then the fulfilment in this incredible, humble yet powerful man. And the only explanation for what he did and said being that he fulfilled the OLd Testament, rose from the dead and was God.
Your details are not a big deal. The Bible is Jesus, is the Word of God. The Quran is words written by Mohammad. A sex crazed power crazed murdering bully.
Mohammad gained everything for himself (Aisha says he was covered in crusted semen stains!). How can you reverse such a man? Jesus sacrificed everything.

Sometimes I think the only scientific miracle of the Quran is that people don't laugh until they puke when the Quran makes a scientific claim.
This type of expression of opinion/understanding is certainly not a quality of a believer, nor a searcher of truth. Sarcasm is certainly the lowest form of whit.

1. The idea that a fly has both the disease and the cure sounds a lot like eastern philosophy of the yin and the yang.
2. There is no way any biped could be 90 feet tall, the person would be crushed under their own weight. The reason being is that as a person gets taller their bones don't grow proportionally thicker, neither do their tendons or ligaments. Even with all that, the blood pressure needed to carry blood up to the brain would be so great that ever vessel in your body would explode from the pressure.

The well itself is pure and scholars held that much water is not affected by little impurities according to the hadith which states if water reaches two qullas in volume it will not become impured due to impurities. The exact wuantity of quallsh is a controversial issue. The well of budaa is large so large that it wouldnt be impure if there was such filth init. The hadith was talking about ablution and never claimed about drinking it. The well of budaa was like a rive leading to a garden and this means water is always running and it is not stagnant. And when prophet said about the purity he was tlaking about the purity if the well as it is too large to be contaminated by the impurities that were thrown into it by the heavy rain.

In context, Jesus was speaking of being spiritually unclean (also translated as "defiled"). He was pointing out that the Pharisees always pointed to strict traditions (read the previous verses) - the letter of the law - and completely missed the meaning behind the law. His point was that eating an "unclean" animal isn't what makes a person "defiled" - it's what comes out of a person - the things they do - that makes them defiled (sinful).

I thought that a miracle, by nature, transcends the scientific laws. So the term, "scientific miracles", is just a conundrum. Based on what I have seen in this video, the term should be called "scientific prophecies" or "prophecies of unknown scientific claims".

Muslim brethren, if you’re so secure about your religion, why do you get agitated when it’s being scrutinised? If you genuinely believe it’s not corrupted, let it be tested and let those who test and challenge its authenticity be humiliated if ever they are wrong. Wouldn’t you be glad and proud to see them fail if they can’t find holes in it?

Rasūlallāh ﷺ places his saliva in salty and empty wells and they become the sweetest, he places his hand in water and water gushes out between his fingers, he places his hand on children and they reach old age without their heads going grey, he wipes over broken bones and they are fixed. When did we last do that? He perspires and his perspiration is used as the best fragrances, he prays over a small pot of food and it is enough to feed armies, he looks in to the sky and can see the affairs of the heavens.
He wishes to pray towards Makkah and the Qibla changes, he dreams and it is revelation, he walks and no one can catch him up even if they try, he gazes into the earth and sees the state of those in the grave, he prays and he is able to see those behind him, he listens and can hear the conversation of those in the unseen. All of this yet people still don't see that the Prophet ﷺ is greater than all of us and is worthy of praise. What similarity do we truly have to the Beloved of Allāh ﷺ?

Adam (PBUH), the first man on earth, lived 5800 years ago:
If one studies the genealogy of the first man on earth i.e. Adam (pbuh), through to Abraham and Jesus (peace be upon them), as stated in the Bible, one would come to the conclusion that Adam (pbuh) appeared on the earth approximately 5800 years ago. Check it out for yourself:
i) 1948 years between Adam and Abraham (pbut)
ii) Approximately 1800 years between Abraham and Jesus (pbut)
iii) About 2000 years from Jesus (pbuh) till today.
These figures are further confirmed by the fact that the Jewish calendar is currently on or about 5800 years old. There is sufficient evidence from archaeological and anthropological sources to suggest that the first human being on earth was present tens of thousands of years ago, and not merely 5,800 years ago as is suggested by the Bible.
While the Qur’an too speaks about Adam (pbuh) being the first man on earth, it does not suggest any date or time-frame for his appearance on earth, unlike passages from the Bible which are not compatible with science.
