Hi guys! Sampo is a machine that makes gold in finnish folklore writing called Kalevala. Amorphis has many songs about Kalevala tales, for example The Bee. Greets fron Finland!
The Bee doesnt tell any Kalevala story. I think that circle album was last what told Kalevala.

ALbum Elegy refers again to Finnish mythology. The Kanteletar poems are a collection of ancient Finnish folk poetry too.
Pekka Kainulainen collected his lyrics in a book: “Amorphis - Taivaan rumpu - Heavenly Drum”. You can find both Finnish and English versions of the lyrics side-by-side, they work better with Finnish but I guess that is not an option. I can send a copy of the book as having a pile of those, and book seems to be out of stock. But ONLY if you commit to read it though.

Amorphis, the best.
Good to see you really enjoy Amorphis. It is one of those bands who everyone should know. They have very distinct sound, and even that their songs are so different to each other, there is always that Amorphis factor on them. I love how Suzi says Amorphis like A Morphis 🙂 I'm pretty sure the name is twisted from Amorphous, and basically it means shapeless or lacking definite form. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
