  • It's April 19, 1943, and our man Albert Hoffman decides to embark on a fateful experiment. Little did he know that he was about to stumble upon something that would change the course of history forever. As he ingested a small dose of his groundbreaking creation, LSD, he hopped on his trusty bicycle and set off on a ride like no other.
As the psychedelic substance coursed through his veins, reality began to twist and morph around him. The world turned into a vibrant tapestry of colors, shapes, and sounds. The mundane became extraordinary, and the ordinary became extraordinary. Every pedal stroke was a cosmic dance, and the wind whispered secrets of the universe into his ears.
Now, let's talk about the impact of this bike ride. It was a catalyst for a cultural revolution, inspiring artists, musicians, and free spirits around the globe. The mind-expanding properties of LSD opened doors to new realms of creativity and consciousness. It shattered the boundaries of perception and invited us to explore the depths of our own minds.
So that's where I'm coming from with the visual elements here. The track itself is one I've come back to with some more mastering stuff. Although I do tutorials on sound making stuff I wouldn't consider myself pro at mixing and mastering. Everything is a work in progress. Praxis not practice makes perfect.
The bycicle reference could be related through to Kraftwerk I suppose. And for this track I had in mind how Kraftwerk may have been had they stayed in a vulcan Mind Meld with Klaus Dinger and Michael Rother of NEU!.
Don't get me wrong I'm glad they did part ways because Kraftwerk particularly created a great percentage of modern music.
But I like to imagine other realities.
Mixing wise I've used M/MS processing on the signal, compressing the mid and adding a bit of reverb and sizzle to the sides. There's backwards reverb with faux flanging going one and lots of instances of Wow and flutter on Chow tape sim to just give everything a bit of movement and thickening.
    Thanks for listening, watching, reading...
