FILM DESCRIPTION:
In 19th-century China, a stranger (RZA) settles in a jungle village and becomes its blacksmith. Radical tribal factions force him to fashion elaborate tools of destruction, and the clans' conflict soon erupts into a full war. Knowing he must take action, the blacksmith channels an ancient energy to transform himself into a human weapon. Fighting beside iconic heroes, the blacksmith harnesses this incredible power to defend his adopted people from an army of soulless villains.

Russell Crowe was really selling it in this movie and he didn’t have to. He’s having fun with his character.
And why not? A well to do Englishman on a job that takes him through the most expensive chinese pleasure houses and with such an interesting cast? What's not to like?
thats the kind of thing that happens when you love your job, you always put your all into it and you have fun at the same time

My best friend and I had a blast enjoying the ridiculousness of this movie.
Whenever we have a disagreement or argument with one another...no matter how serious or funny it is, we find ways to include "That is the difference between you and me!" line.
It's a worthy successor to "There are two kinds of men in this world, my friend - "

I really would love to hear what Russell Crowe made of being in the ultimate Wu-Tang movie. Seems like they gave him room to do what he wanted with the role.
Well, he did the movie because he became friends with RZA while making American Gangster, so pretty sure he found being to go over the top in a old-style kung fu movie being fun.
Crowe is good friends of RZA, that’s why he did this. He was only on set for ten days.

Never understood, and I've looked at the scene, why Poison Dagger couldn't unwrap the chain from his arm? One end was caught in the gears, maybe he only had about 20 seconds, but still.
Chain links catch together in a weird way most of the time due to there shape so woven together tightly around his arm without any slack to shake loose or the use of his other arm due to Jacks knife he was basically trapped.

Honestly this movie just needed a different sound track. Maybe like a mix of eastern music with hip hop introduce into it
I never had a problem with it, it has a member of the Wu Tang Clan in it, it makes sense it'd have Wu Tang songs in it. This whole movie is meant to not be taken seriously, just enjoyed for it's absurd and sometimes funny depictions. It's both a love letter and a parody to all Kung Fu movie fans. It has all the good and bad of them (except the lips not out of sync), in the perfect places to stand tall with them

The chain was wrapped around his arm and his other arm was stabbed so it could’ve been out of commission, also if he did let go of the chain well he had to fight a guy with a chainsaw knife so it’s a lose lose kinda deal
