Buy quality stuff, not dogshit. Also how....did I not get a single claim lmao? I'm sure that'll change, last time I used 5 seconds of the Sigma Male song it got claimed. Who knows. Also 9 Hole reviews link is visible in the description while unexpanded, so you can see it. Go watch the video, it's 100 times better than anything I will ever produce, 9 hole reviews is a solid channel if you haven't watched them yet.
@@ringneck7500 BCM as a brand is definitely on my to do list. I want to get behind a few more BCM's before making the video. I've fired about 5 of them, but not all of the models I'd like to.
Shot my buddy’s BCM with the MCMR rail, really light weight. But the rail heats up pretty quickly, especially when running a can. Takes my 11.5 super duty a few more mags before feel any noticeable heat. Trade off for sure. Anecdotal to my experience of course.
My nephew took the approach of buying Colt 6920 OEM-2 rifles and Colt 6920 Troopers. After his EAS from the Marines. And has his first OEM-2 hit 20k not to long ago. Not as nice as a Super Duty. Or URGI. But a very serviceable rifle. 80% of your police cruisers have a 6920 in it. Not to mention the plethora of Colt, Colt Canada and FN rifles running around Ukraine. That are made basically to the same standard. It's always better to buy stuff that is vetted. PSA/BCA and all the junk out there has nobody in harms way using it professionally. I have a buddy. Army Turd. 4 tours in the GWOT. Makes the same amount of money roughly as I do. Which isn't a whole bunch. He has 2 Geissele Super Duty rifles. And 3 rifles with the URGI. He prioritizes his life in a way to afford high quality stuff. It's easy to do. Once you start doing it. But with that said I handed my buddy a 6920 Trooper. That has a GLx 1-6 on it. He ran a course of fire out to 600 with it. Only things I added to it is a Sprinco white/hot spring. Magpul SL and K grip. A Radian charging handle and Colt ambi saftey. He ran the course with it. After his last string. He looked down at it and said, "I could take this rifle to war." He added that there was stuff that wasn't completely to his liking. Like with anything. But said he would absolutely take that to a block party.
Pull $100 (or whatever you can afford) out in cash every check put it in an envelope in your safe. Out of sight out of mind and before you know it an ACOG will be at your front door like in my case : ) be patient ya'll it is well worth it and very rewarding.
It's amazing that adults can't figure this out. I own many nice rifles and optics and I hear this all the time. I own LMT, 2 super duties. MPX, mutiple suppressors. I also have no debt except my house. I drive paid for cars and have no credit card debt.
Same. The only other rifle brand I own is legit unissued Milsurp FN M-16A4 (when OOW had them for $500) on an aero lower with an SSA-E trigger. You can have nice things if you save and wait for the right deal. No need to be a slave to the dopamine.
a few years ago i sold my $600 scope and bought a $3000 one for my bolt gun. skipped the mid grade and went straight for the alpha glass. People were were surprised I could afford it and i'm like "I have no debt and I walk to work"
Just buy barrels and rails on sale. You can build a ''URGI'' with sale parts. Geissele has sales On most every major holiday of the year. With all the sales on Brownells, PA, Midway You can build top tier guns at 35% off. Never pay full price.
Interesting gun for sure but I personally couldn't justify the money on it. End of the day, It's a DI rifle, not really all that different than a PSA, where you could swap out BCG/Barrel to top tier stuff, or just buy a premium upper on sale with a heavy FN Barrel, Premium BCG with S7 tool steel components for $450- $500, still far cheaper. I do think someone should have at least one quality factory built rifle but many are hurting after 💉 mandates, inflation etc..and there's still ways to get high end stuff for cheap. To each is own tho. Cool channel brother
I keep learning this the hard way in an effort to find a cheap option that works well. Never works out and I always spend more money trying to make it work anyway.
I have had my first rifle for almost 3 years before getting an LPVO. (BCM 16” upper and Anderson manufacturing lower.) After trying an LPVO, I think I wasted money and a good red dot & magnifier will do just fine. Buy once, cry once really is the way.
Quit Smoking & the bar. No vacation. Etc. 1 year if that of extra work you can have a go to rifle and pistol easily. Not difficult 😊. Awesome review. Tactical Teuton. 😂😊
PSA is "FiNe" if you get the FNH barreled uppers. That said, there is a lot to be said about "buy once cry once." BCAs are great for malfunction drills, though.
I’m all for people buying PSA stuff if that’s the most they can afford and they feel it’s urgent to get one soon. However, that doesn’t mean that it’s anywhere near as high quality as a URGI or a Knight’s. You don’t even have to get either of those. Just get a BCM if you don’t want the highest end ARs.
I literally just ordered a 16" URGI super duty complete upper (DDC) a couple of hours ago from Euro Optic. It was $1,331 before tax and shipping. Geissele H2 buffer assembly (DDC) and B5 SOPMOD in coyote is also on it's way from PA, and I'll be dropping off a Core15 lower I had laying around for cerekote tomorrow morning. Looking forward to getting it all together soon. I have a TA44 ACOG, EoTech EXPS3, or a Trijicon Accupower 1-8x28mm on a Scalar Works LEAP mount that will all be tried on for size.
Just found your channel. Nice. Ten years army scout and engineer, now crusty vet ammo feen. Use to think I knew it all until the army threw me in front of a scope for my first time. Then I realized till then the military was really good at pushing you through irons, acogs, red dots, and thermals. But actually dialing and thinking for yourself is like pulling a chicken out of a poultry farm and making it a free range pet. Never scoped any personal weapons. Couple years ago I added a vortex 5-25x56 on a Ruger 10/22 and stretched it as far as I could. Which lead me to wanting a scoped AR. So I purchased an 18" Wilson combat upper and I'm stuck with a 5-25-56 scope for now 😂
I'm quite partial to my (self assembled) mostly BCM with FN CHF barreled uppers. If you are even a little bit mechanically handy and you struggle saving money over time, just buy nice parts over time and assemble your AR yourself(obviously doesn't work for anything like a nice scope, but it's a good way to start disciplining yourself to save up while also not having to wait forever)
I started with a cheapster PSA with BA Govt Profile 16". Learned manipulations etc with that, went to several classes. About 1500 rds in, decided to build my own upper with carefully chosen parts. The 2d full upper led to another lower, again my parts choices. End result rifle, 18" .223 Wylde OdinWorks 3-Gun profile barrel and agb, BCM upper receiver & MCMR rail, Mega lower, MBT-2 trigger, Sprinco Blue and H1 buffer, OdinWorks full BCG. Rifle gas length. It has been sub moa from the first rounds, several factory loads run that well. It has about 1700 rds on the odo.
A while back I mentioned looking into LPVOs because I wanted to get into the scope game. You recommended the Steiner P4xi. After months of saving up and researching the Hell out of rifle scope mechanics, use-cases, and MOA vs MIL I ended up with an MPVO Chinesium 2-12 Athlon Helos because I realized I just needed something decent to learn on. Saved some money and it has turned out to be a pretty good optic (for bench shooting at least).
Dodge Charger. Make a spreadsheet, every two columns is a pay period. At the top left is your take home pay, below that are your expenses; Col A is item, Col B is cost. Top right is your take home pay minus the sum of your expenses.
I'm kind of missing the allure of putting 1200 USD into an upper that won't shoot better than my $875 upper + 70 dollar muzzle brake + 65 Aero Precision adjustable gas block + 15 for a gas tube, and 15 bucks for vertical grip. At 1200 USD you are buying a nice handguard essentially. I also did this math with 200 USD handguard of my choice such as Aero Precision S-One, 300 dollar barrel such as Criterion, or if you want to buy cheaper but still good Rosco Barrel for 150, Nickel Boron BCG, Radian Charging handle, and a muzzle brake. Building your own will always get you better results, because you will get exactly what you want at the lower cost. If you can't be bothered building, by all means, but I will yield better results by buying parts separately. Just my 2 cents.
The main allure I'm seeing is the grouping. They apparently group very well. I've seen people put together their own builds with high quality parts and not get this kind of grouping. And it makes more sense to get a complete upper in my mind, or at the very least make sure the bolt and barrel are made together.
Couldn’t agree more. And after you save a year for your upper, save for 8 months for the best lower on the market, then save 7 months for a T2, then save 2 months for a surefire light, then save 9 months for a rc2, then save 4 months for a case of ammo. And In about 3 years you’ll finally be able to shoot.
Unless you're doing Night Vision, a T2 is pointless. Aero M4E1 lower does the job. Surefire can suck it...grab a Streamlight. RC2 cough cough *OCL Polonium/K* PewPewScience reviews speak for themselves on that front.
@@terrybogard21 lol, it’s just tongue and cheek. But Dude, the whole video is about buying cheap stuff compared to nice gear. Don’t cheap out on a streamlight. The urgi comes with 4 prong surefire device, don’t cheap out on polonium k. Just save 120$ for 36 months and buy nice shit lol
@tyrellandonmorris07 when you pull the trigger on it though, you forget hoe long it took you to get there. Took me 2 years to get my MR762, then a deployment to get an optic and mount for it. Then I hit 791 yards with 168gr which the internet told me I couldn't do.
@@tyrellandonmorris07I got the joke, but you can make a good light w/ Malkoff head, decent machined body (many options), switch of choice, mount of choice and it will cost less than Surefire. Or Cloud Rein if lazy and not switch-picky, still lesd $ than Surefire of equal (or almost, by Surefire) candela & throw.
What’s funny is how basic this concept is, but scary that people don’t really look at this way. Thanks for putting this out. I have sent you a bunch of my buddies that are shit bad at saving money and being in constant debt.
Setting a goal, sticking to the plan, and achieving a dream will give you more satisfaction than any instant gratification buy ever will. When you accomplish something that seemed out of reach, it will change how you look at what is available to you. Excellent ramble. The juice is always sweeter from a long, slow squeeze.
Finally got a URGi 14.5 this past Black Friday. In no small part because of you lol. Im genuinely surprised how good it is. Shoots great suppressed with no adjustable anything. Accurate as hell. Plan on replacing my DDs and just going completely Geissele in the future. Just makes sense
Glad to hear it's running well for you, and happy to help. They really are solid performers. I'm grabbing a 14.5 and 11.5 URGI, and 2 more full geissele SD rifles, then calling it a day for AR15s. They just run so well and group so tightly.
I’m the same. Will only buy Geissele now. Already have 3, might get one or two more just so the kids all get one eventually. Now to sell off some of the unissued Milsurp FN M-16A4 uppers I invested in when Ohio ordinance works had them for sale, since none of my kids want them
Applied this logic to a CAT suppressor and every range day, I’m glad I waited instead of buying one of the many steel, high back-pressure cans. Patience is key
Just saw the 9hole video and this got recommended lol. I'm not opposed to starting off with a lower budget rifle, but I do see that some people will stick within the lower budget guns. If you need to start off budget that's fine, but like you say, you should and you CAN get some better quality and more reliable stuff if you just plan and save. I've even strategically used credit card bonus offers to help with the price so that's cool that you mentioned it. I just know after the 9hole video URGI uppers will become even more hard to find though lol
For my go to AR, I got a Colt in like 2012 (when they were still making their own shit), and have modified it inside and out over the years with new high quality barrels, BCGs, handguards, etc. into something super modern. At this point, it's almost like a Ship of Thesseus in that all the remains of the original is the upper and lower receivers.
Good video. I agree with everything you said with one caveat. If a person doesn’t have anything and they need something, they can get lightly used LEO trade in G22’s for $275. Buy the G22, a holster, and 3 mags. Then save money for the good stuff other than ammo for practicing with the Glock. I’ve been on both sides of the situation in life. Had a safe full of everything in the past and now I’m thinning down to Glock and HK (thinning my CZ collection which is bittersweet but turning that to Glock & HK parts). I resisted the Glock for YEARS but now admit that they serve a purpose. PSA AR uppers can be had on close out for $150 then tested out and gifted to family for Christmas to get by if they can’t afford anything, and everyone should have something these day’s, then they should start saving for the good stuff. As you said, buy once, cry once. It pained me to pay the price I did for my 3 quality AR’s but it is worth it. Good video.
And, you don't know people's situations man. They might have all their bases covered and a big family. They only break off say 200 a month for themselves. Maybe this will help them out. I know a lot of aggressive savers.
Chief, in support of careful parts choice home builds, today I hit 1k steel on my own built 6.5 Grendel. Took a few to sort the elevation, I was using reticle and walking in at 6x on the Credo 2.5-15x. Hold was a smidge past 6 MIL. Lilja 16" barrel, BCM blem upper receiver, OdinWorks BCG w/ headspaced bolt, Superlative bleedoff agb, intermed gas tube, Aero Enhanced lower, LaRue MBT-2 trigger. Hornady Frontier 123gr loads. Took about 12 shots to walk in due to my Strelok F up giving me about 1.5mil too much hold. By end I hit about center on 36×36 plate.
@@navyman8903Thank you. Now it can wear the Stryker 1-6x and I can be ok with 6x top end. Credo can go back to its home Bonus was zero wind, not sure I could have come close if it was puffing.
Man you dropped this video at the right time for me. Been wanting to save for some things and just havent really pushed myself but listening to you explaining it makes it alot simpler than I thought. Just got a place and really gonna have to budget but i think i can manage a usp 45 in the next few months. Plus a few cases of black hills is in the works as well. Definitely gonna work towards this.
I have a radian model 1 14.5” and I’m looking into my next build which I think will be a 16” starting with a super duty complete upper for right under 1200. Really excited to start it. Your videos about the urgi / super duties have really helped.
I have been putting my urgi part by part. Using black Friday sales and shot show coupons. A little luck too. My problem is I have a semi custom 1911 fetish but thats complete now.

I refuse to pay full price on negotiable items. I get addicted to finding deals and coupon codes. In the past 2 years I bought new: Vortex Razor HD 1-10 for 1350 USD. Aimpoint Acro P2 for 435 USD. Garmin Xero C1 Pro chronograph for 274 USD. Geissele 14.5 upper for 680.
Navyman have you ever ran anything from Centurion? I'm currently saving up for a 14.5" Mid-Weight, Mid-Length Upper with their Quad Rail with the cut out to run a front sight base/mid length gas system. Their Sandcutter BCG (If I can find it in stock) and one of their forged lowers. All in all i'm looking to be in the ballpark of around $1500-1700 minus some stuff that i'm swapping from my current 11.5" BCM. I've always wanted to run a 14.5" URGI Complete upper but i'm still on the fence because I really like the quality from Centurion. At least in my experience.
Centurion is good to go, I've had limited experience but my buddies have run them with good results. I planned to pick one up, but it looks like the barrel I was interested in is off market now. The mid length 14.5 socom.
Ahh yes I see their 14.5" Carbine Length Socom is in stock but no more mid-length. Still though Geissele is definitely one of my top companies and I wish I could could ahold of their 12.7" MK7 Rail but anyhow thanks for touching base boss, love the content by the way.
@@navyman8903I snagged the last Centurion eSOCOM mid after our last chat. The 13.9 g$ CHF found a home in a SOLGW set with a dot. Very happy with the G$ barrel after 2k ish rounds. May build a URGIi (URGI-improved 😂) with the centurion.
Mann!!! Just watched all the way through, I appreciate it , trust me I’ve made horrible decision’s on guns, I’ve bought and sold many different guns over the years and alot of them have been impulse because you want the next new hottest thing, and I’ve thrown alot of money down the drain… I’ve got a lot of buddies with cool stuff who let me shoot sometimes and that’s how I come across most of my wants, I just bought a b&T apc9 pro last month and the urgi will be here soon, I built a block 2 clone that I sold because I wanted a super duty and now I regret it haha
Luckily I learned about buy once cry once before getting into guns, still started off with cheaper guns but a stag 18" with a rifle gas system was a far better starting point than a bear creek arsenal or poverty state $300 special
Better gear is better gear. There are levels to this. But let's not act like legacy manufacturers don't have or haven't had major failures of various types also. Spending a bunch of money guarantees you nothing.
To a degree I agree with you. Some people will see that exact statement and use it to justify a slew of cheap purchases for a far worse product, that has had many more issues. Ignoring that fact, only to continue destructive spending habits.
Glad to see you around, hope all is well. This is a great video for the young dudes out there. Every time I go to an LEO class, the instructors give me a hard time because I bring my KAC, and a 2011. By the end of the of the fist day I have the instructors and half the class are shopping for one lol It’s always the guys with DD rifles and comped 320s. I get asked in every class if I’ll sell my KAC, maybe if life happens.
I gotta throw this out there. If you're building, the journey is as important as the end result. I've spent thousands of dollars figuring out what I like. I now have one rifle. Some pricey stuff on it and some budget. Runs like a fucking greased up type writer. You don't have to go all in at once to find out what fits.
Not necessarily the video to comment on, but I'm curious what your thoughts are on my current setup. I decided to turn my DDM4v7 16" into my night vision rifle. for the setup I put on a surefire warcomp flash hider, and optic/LAM wise I'm running a DBAL D2(yea its heavy) and an Eotech XPS3 on a riser with a magnifier... I like the setup overall, but I definitely notice a small bit of flash when I shoot it under nods. It's nothing crazy, but mildly annoying. Unfortunately, I don't have anyone near me to compare in person so idk, but I've been considering buying a suppressor. I assume it would be too long on a 16", so I would need to go shorter, but I really don't want to go any shorter than a 13.7.. (I also don't want a pistol brace, and I don't want an SBR). Not to mention I don't really want a suppressor at all because of the increased wear on parts, added weight, and shorter barrel. All that said, I've heard that suppressors will significantly help eliminate the flash. So maybe I'm being silly. what would you do in my position? sorry for the book.
Just ordered my second URGI, third Geissele upper in 2 years. Already on track to get an 11.5 by Christmas. Took me a while for this one because I was waiting for a screaming deal. OP hooked me up with a one time coupon because I left it in the cart after calling to get them to reduce it to $1230, coupon got me another $150 off.
Only thing I'd add, instead of just opening a savings account with the bank your checking account is at. Get a savings account with a bank without physical locations that actually offers a real interest rate. American Express is a good one if you don't trust the new "fintech soft banks". Alternatively you can also open a brokerage (investing) account (DO NOT enable options trading!) and put your money in a money market fund, it's basically a savings account with the actual Federal Funds Rate, it's not a stonk or bond so line CANNOT go down. Probably wouldn't matter for a relatively small and short term saving, like a rifle, but it makes a difference when you start saving more.
The Geissele barrels are on par with the DD barrels, but use a more efficient gas port size (smoother, usually .01 smaller). Longevity time will tell, I have a DD barrel in my URGI, and I have a few Geisseles with their CHF CL barrels. Time will tell, but I've pulled off great accuracy with both of them. We'll just have to see which one dies first.
@@navyman8903 I like Geissele's taper profile over DD's lightweight profile, and certainly like it more than gov profile. Did you ever get your hands on a Criterion Core barrel? I really like the profile they use, but not everyone's a fan of the .625 gas block journal.
@@AncientGloomcriterion are outstanding barrels. CORE is essentially a modified (better) original M-16A1 profile. Beyond criterion are ultra hardcore match barrels that'll outshoot 99% of people on Earth.

It really is a sexy rifle, it's definitely my go to. Taking it out to 616 yards really cemented my concept for the rifle, and its performance capabilities.

@@navyman8903 11.5 DDC Super Duty had the ejector roll pin walk, shutting the gun down, shearing the pin, peening the bolt significantly and damaging the barrel extension. The 11.5 URGI that replaced it came with barrel feed ramps extremely proud of the receiver ramps, an off center gas tube hole and a chamber so short, rounds would barely chamber and extract and when they did, projectiles were absolutely mangled. There are dozens of examples of URGI chambers being short and out of spec. I returned that, got an 11.5 Centurion upper with a CHF FBI profile barrel and couldn’t be happier.
@@navyman8903 They did. They refunded the URGI. But it left a sour taste. I have a 10.3 Geissele SBR that has been perfect through thousands of rounds and another 16” SD that is also excellent. I just had a round of shit luck. Still, my go to brands at the moment are Colt & Centurion.

Appreciate you video , I watched the 3 different set up vid this morning And I am In contact with someone who is getting me one, I appreciate the in depth work on these urgi uppers !!
@navyman8903 word, I'm after a 14.5 next. I got lucky and a buddy picked up two of them and i was able to scratch up the money for it across the 9 weeks it took to ship. They throw in discount cards too if yours takes a long time to ship. I'm a believer, Bill Geissele knows how to run a business and I have no idea why Daniel can charge the same prices.
I have a decent upper through BCM, but when I have to get a new barrel, I will check them out. Next tax return I'm seriously considering a suppressor. Possibly the HUXWRX flowthrough design. Have you had any experience on those?
I have not. I've heard 50/50 things about them. I may pick up a .308 for my MR762 and a 5.56k to play with on a 16", but I haven't hand any experience with one.
I just ordered my first suppressor. I talked to a bunch of people who own really high end shit(including 110 SASS actual), I was gonna buy an RC2 but everyone I talked to who has a bunch of cans said to get the OCL Polonium K so that's what I got. I still plan to get an RC2 eventually tbh, I just like how it looks aesthetically. BUT, I got a question. Hypothetically--money is no issue and you can only have one--KAC SR15 upper or Geissele URGI, which would you go with? I've been using Geissele stuff for like 10 years now but have never owned one of their uppers. I could order one right now but my cash isn't burning a hole in my pocket. I have a couple high quality uppers that I put together myself using Criterion barrels that I'm enjoying plus a DD Block 2-ish clone that I enjoy although in retrospect I kinda wish I would've gone with the URGI instead. I also have a few BCMs that I like. Oh well. So anyway, KAC SR15 or URGI?
URGI for me. Parts are easier to source and the performance between the two is so close. To include how soft they both shoot. The fit/finish is also nicer out of the Geissele factory vs KAC. I've never had a Knights that wasn't scratched out of the box.
@@navyman8903 aight. I'll probably go that route next. I don't even really care about the special kac bolt but I do want one of those rails. They're very aesthetically pleasing.
@@armorers_wrench I really do like the URX rails and the SR15 quite frankly. But what Geissele is putting out, with better support and availability, within 98% of the performance. It's a no Brainer.
@@navyman8903 I think Geissele's barrels are just legitimately better than KACs. Their taper profile and coatings and such are really top notch. Bill really cares about material science and it shows. That said, a Geissle with a URX would be dope lol.
Video on reddots and pistols next? I havent jumped ship yet but will buy one soon to see how I like it. Also reconfiguring my ars selling one or two to make a better one and this or the sd will be the upper ofc ofc.
Just bought quality mil spec parts and I’m happy with my build even have one BCA stainless steel barrel but I plan on replacing that anyway it was the first one I’ve gotten much better barrels like kac barrels or KAK i love mil spec and not proprietary parts because I can fix it myself and if you can build it well yourself it will work good enough that’s all I care about that it works and is accurate
Welp… My notifications got switched from “All” to “Personalized”. Explains why I haven’t been seeing your uploads. YT algorithm strikes again. On a side note Geissele uppers are amazing. Well worth the money. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Once I made the switch to Geissele there was no going back. They’re all I shoot now. I do love my Super Duty’s but if I had to pick one as a combat platform I’d go URGI. Both the Super Duty and URGI are more than capable combat platforms. Only reason I’d take the URGI for shtf is that tiny bit of extra gas. If you have other reasons to pick the URGI over the Super Duty as a go to combat rifle I’d love to hear them.
The URG-I is objectively the best upper being produced at present. Lmt and Knights are making more expensive uppers, but they don't outperform the URG-I. Not even close. Hands down the URG-I is the best upper money can buy.
Awesome video bro, I completely agree. Save whether it’s 2 months or 2 years and go for what you really want. I like to comparison to the H&K. Ppl quest why I have a mr308 till they shot it, then they understand lol….
No, you must demand crippling debt! Where are the Jones?! I must keep up with them!! J/k, good advice. Pay a bit extra for quality, and you don't have issues later because quality tends to warranty their stuff for everything but stupid, and even then, many will cover stupid at least once. When you're really lucky, they'll pay for shipping back to you after the repair.
I agree with @mtnbound2764 and I do have a BA hanson 16" build in M4E1 receivers. I will say, their BCGs and some of their QC can be hit or miss. Really scrutinize the staking on the gas key and fastners.
@@navyman8903I have a BA Premium Series 16" SPR fluted barrel that shoots pretty nice, and a Modern Series 16" Govt Profile barrel that, in comparison, just allows projectiles to head downrange.
@seanoneil277 I'm waiting to get a 2-10x36 Credo for mine to test out accuracy, then push it to 5k and see how it does. I've heard mixed things on the barrel life, I plan to test it out. Possibly add 1k rounds suppressed. But it'll be precision shooting like the rifle is planned for, not magdumping into trash. Hopefully it performs well because I bought it lol. Let me know how yours do through the round counts if you don't mind.
I'm a collage kid. I have a bunch of pointless psa builds. Finally went and built a mostly centurion build. I really understand what you were getting at now. It more accurate, properly gassed, and with the giessle 42 buffer and spring it feels like it will outlast me. Currently Saving up for the suppressor. Thank you, now I'm a buy once cry once dude. Now I just need to build up the ammo stack. Slowly but surly.
Built out my noveske barreled mutt this way. RIII rail that I bartered for. I do regret going p&w route though. Literally just save, sales, & assemble.
Do people really not know how to budget? I'm not buying PSA because I don't know how to budget, I'm buying PSA because I would rather invest that 1,000 dollars somewhere else in my life. Here's an example, with 1,000 dollars you can buy yourself nearly everything for a wood working shop that will provide far more to you than a 1,400 dollar gun that for most of us will only collect dust. For 1,200 dollars you can buy yourself a competent CNC machine that will make its money back. There's plenty of examples of this from food production to fraternity and club fees and so on and so forth. Now if you're about that life, you think your entire purpose life is to die in a door way when SHTF. No ill will, go full send on it. Imma go ahead and be the dude you're dying in a door way for though. Ftr if you're making bank, only buy PSA to arm your loser peers with.
The other day I had a laugh as I thought to myself, everyone says what a great rifle PSA is for cheap. I wonder how cheap they could actually sell them for if they stopped paying influencers?😂
Great advice. Your income shouldn't put a cap on the quality you can own.
Well said.
True. I bought an HK USP while working at Walmart.
Will you make a video talking about bcm? In my opinion the urgi rail is fater then it needs to be.
@@ringneck7500 BCM as a brand is definitely on my to do list. I want to get behind a few more BCM's before making the video. I've fired about 5 of them, but not all of the models I'd like to.
@@navyman8903 nice man I do love bcm and gessiey parts. That and bcm rails are nice and there pistol grip and stock.
Shot my buddy’s BCM with the MCMR rail, really light weight. But the rail heats up pretty quickly, especially when running a can. Takes my 11.5 super duty a few more mags before feel any noticeable heat. Trade off for sure. Anecdotal to my experience of course.
I'll rather buy 10 dogshit products that'll cost me the same price of one product that won't even outlast three of the dogshit products

One of my favorite sayings “do you know why Lamborghini doesn’t have car commercials? It’s because the people who buy them don’t watch TV.”.
Excellent plan and since most people don't use cash anymore, it's easier to save that way.
It's amazing that adults can't figure this out. I own many nice rifles and optics and I hear this all the time. I own LMT, 2 super duties. MPX, mutiple suppressors. I also have no debt except my house. I drive paid for cars and have no credit card debt.
The elite have been attacking public school education for a long time now. What seems basic to some of us back then is lost knowledge now.
Never pay full price.
this is what i do. by quality parts on sale, assemble myself. profit.
I can count on one hand the items I've paid full price for. Always buy on sale.
For many people that would be more expensive than buying the complete upper because most people don't have the proper tools.
@@JohnLocke1776Run your guns in training and competition, and we'll see if you still have that sentiment.
I keep learning this the hard way in an effort to find a cheap option that works well. Never works out and I always spend more money trying to make it work anyway.
My Grandfather always said that poor people can't afford to buy cheap stuff. Great video as always 👍
I have had my first rifle for almost 3 years before getting an LPVO. (BCM 16” upper and Anderson manufacturing lower.)
After trying an LPVO, I think I wasted money and a good red dot & magnifier will do just fine.
So I purchased an 18" Wilson combat upper and I'm stuck with a 5-25-56 scope for now 😂
Wake up mfs NAVYMAN just uploaded.. if you're at work take a bathroom break.
Tax return?!
Who the F gets tax returns?
I pay taxes. Then I pay more taxes.
The poors
A while back I mentioned looking into LPVOs because I wanted to get into the scope game. You recommended the Steiner P4xi. After months of saving up and researching the Hell out of rifle scope mechanics, use-cases, and MOA vs MIL I ended up with an MPVO Chinesium 2-12 Athlon Helos because I realized I just needed something decent to learn on. Saved some money and it has turned out to be a pretty good optic (for bench shooting at least).
Quite a few folks have said Helos BTR 2-12 punches way above its class, and Chinese stuff when good, isn't so bad.
Geissele & Radian Or Some Wilson Combat Are The Sweetest For Me. The Administration Is Soon To Change & All Will Get Better. Appreciate You.
The Geisseles have really treated me well and I appreciate the performance they provide, coupled with the quality.
I'm saving up for a URGI, Thoroughbred Armament has URGI uppers with DD barrels, they're 💯 percent clone correct that SOCOM is getting.
What's wrong with a DD?
BCM as well...
Oh absolutely. I'm sure black friday shopping will be rough lol.
Build out a lower yourself and buy complete uppers that’s the cheapest way go if you want reliable and do a billet lower
Urgi and kac 14.5 are my favorite set up ! Saving for a atacr !
Me too. I need a couple 1-8 ATACRs for projects.
Good video.
If you have to save for a year to get an upper, you probably shouldn't be spending that much on an upper.
Oh probably, but if those same people have impulse control issues, this will possibly be a step in the right direction.
Centurion is good to go, I've had limited experience but my buddies have run them with good results. I planned to pick one up, but it looks like the barrel I was interested in is off market now. The mid length 14.5 socom.

It’s always the guys with DD rifles and comped 320s. I get asked in every class if I’ll sell my KAC, maybe if life happens.
I’m going to sell my urgi for 13 PSA’s and start a pleb Army to take over the world.
Lmao.
That is also true and a good point.
Sorry babe, can't talk right now. New Navyman8903 video just dropped.

You have any comparison of the G over DD barrels? Both my URGIs were self rolled using DD.

Really. How did they fail?

Buy once, cry once. I just saved up and got a 14.5 urgi delivered last Friday. Now if I could only find some Black Hills 77gr ammo.
Rooftop defense has 500 round cases of the 77gr OTM in stock for under 700.
Navyman 'Ramsey'! Great vid.
What do you think about the 223 Wylde chamber?
Some guys like them, I don't have any experience with them though. Couple of rounds through buddy's rifles but nothing extensive.
Appreciate you video , I watched the 3 different set up vid this morning
And I am In contact with someone who is getting me one, I appreciate the in depth work on these urgi uppers !!
How'd you get your ejection pattern to 3 o'clock like that suppressed? My 14.5 is definitely shooting forward with a Mini-2 even with an H3 buffer.
Interesting. Is it a factory URGI or home grown URGI?
@@navyman8903 Factory near-clone.. I'm assuming you did your gas block yourself?
@@a-stardesigns1453 nope, I got the first run of Geissele URGI.
11.5 urgi for $940 last year black Friday sale
Hopefully history repeats itself.
BCM is more than decent
Everyone should have a URGI. Best milspec upper for life and liberty
Missed your vids, always giving sage advice.
What are your thoughts on Midwest Industries uppers that come with Criterion barrels?
I haven't seen them or been able to mess with them. But Criterion barrels are good to go.
I completely agree on the reasoning for the URGI, and I've been getting hit with the same YT issues.
The URG-I is objectively the best upper being produced at present. Lmt and Knights are making more expensive uppers, but they don't outperform the URG-I. Not even close. Hands down the URG-I is the best upper money can buy.
Every man needs a URGI.
Really been missing you, man
Miss our conversations, happy to be able to drop in. Trying to stay regular at this point but I'm still running around. We'll see how it goes.
Awesome video bro, I completely agree. Save whether it’s 2 months or 2 years and go for what you really want. I like to comparison to the H&K. Ppl quest why I have a mr308 till they shot it, then they understand lol….
Another video let’s go!
Hey man what buffer weight you recommend for a bcm 14.5 suppressed with rc2
Try an H2/sprinco blue spring, or a H2/Super 42.
@@navyman8903 put in my blue spring and h2 yesterday and I’m at 2-230 suppressed
Unsuppressed with carbine spring and h2 I’m at a perfect 3
@@124GRGoldDot interesting. It must have a smaller gas port. Does it feel very short without the can?
@@navyman8903 feels normal. Basically should I tuned the rifle based on unsuppressed 3:00 then plop the can on and run it?
No, you must demand crippling debt!
Where are the Jones?! I must keep up with them!!
J/k, good advice. Pay a bit extra for quality, and you don't have issues later because quality tends to warranty their stuff for everything but stupid, and even then, many will cover stupid at least once. When you're really lucky, they'll pay for shipping back to you after the repair.
What are your thoughts on AERO rifle with a Ballistic Advantage Hanson barrel?
for most dudes, its more than enough.
I agree with @mtnbound2764 and I do have a BA hanson 16" build in M4E1 receivers. I will say, their BCGs and some of their QC can be hit or miss. Really scrutinize the staking on the gas key and fastners.
@@navyman8903 10-4 sir. Thank you
@@navyman8903I have a BA Premium Series 16" SPR fluted barrel that shoots pretty nice, and a Modern Series 16" Govt Profile barrel that, in comparison, just allows projectiles to head downrange.
Personally I think the best thing about g$ is the barrel and enhanced bcg. Everything else is overpriced. That’s what people should save up for.
That's the way to do it. Centurions are solid guns. I'm glad you can experience that difference.
College? 🤦♂️
One well made, reliable, accurate rifle beats the stuffing out of 4+ so-so rifles.
When I heard the Sigma theme, I thought we lost you to the abyss…lol
Built out my noveske barreled mutt this way. RIII rail that I bartered for. I do regret going p&w route though.
Literally just save, sales, & assemble.
Saving and sales are absolutely key. Especially if you can assemble it yourself. Completely agree, and well said.
Sr 25 just entered the chat
Sounds like somebody's been listening to Dave Ramsey! Great advice!
Thanks for the financial tips thst i should hsve learned in high school
Happy to help.

@@seanoneil277 🤣
Ive always used a 12/24 month 0apr for my builds. My only rule is pay off the gun b4 i buy another
Just bought a 16” super duty complete upper. The coupon codes from shot work until the end of the month fyi…
Great advice!
This is the way
The other day I had a laugh as I thought to myself, everyone says what a great rifle PSA is for cheap. I wonder how cheap they could actually sell them for if they stopped paying influencers?😂
I know right? They dump zero money into QC, their marketing is levithian group.
