exactly how does that pushrod come out? 74 D100, has the 4 bolt plate, push rod still attached to old cylinder.

It has a rubber sleeve that goes on the end and snaps it into the MC piston . Give it a good hard yank and it'll come out. If it's been there awhile, the rubber has probably gotten hard and it'll take a little persuasion but it'll come out.
