Blink 182 has been and always will be one of my favourite bands. Mainly down to the fact that when i got my very first drum kit, all i did was jam along to "The Mark, Tom and Travis show" trying to copy every fill, cymbal hit, accent, and at the same time trying to keep up with the tempo of each song!
The reason i chose this track of their self titled "Blink 182" record was that it had soo much crammed into 4 minutes. From the alternating hands during the chorus, to the off-beat splash hits on the pre-chorus, and then the awesome RLR fill during the bridge which is a single stroke fill that i LOVE and over use in almost any live situation. Not all of the above mentioned are incredibly difficult to play in anyway, but the fact that it all happens during one song puts a smile on my face, even after playing it :-)

If you listen closely to the song, theres three kicks for base when travis goes into his 16ths for his second bar of it. dont really know drum notation, but thats how i could explain it

@HxCReviewsss also, they are used for dance some times, like one its tuned higher or has been dampened to make a clap sound.. or some are used rolled off so you get like a brighter tom sound from the snare...
I can't for the life of me play the part from 3:00 til about 3:24 and it's one of my favorite drum fills ever. Can anyone shed some light on that?
+Bradley Brown If you mean the fast notes at this part, you should probably try using the bass drum at the end of the fill. Im guessing its "snare - tom - floor - bass" very fast in a RLRF.

Cover is amazing, awesome playing! Do want to note that the video is not fully synced with the audio, it's a little ahead, but that doesn't take away from how great this is!

Acrylic glow stick green from OCDP.
OCDP went out of business, but many custom companies do acrylic (if not all), so you could hit up a few of them for a glowstick acrylic for much less, than an OCDP set. OCDP is mad exspensive.

@HxCReviewsss In my opinion its to do with dynamics. Using a side snare which has been tuned to have less body/attack can be used used for verses/interludes or parts of a song which you want to build up.

No doubt, you did an awesome job. I am not sure if it is the actual track you are playing along with or using a metronome... I would suggest using just a metronome to play each song. Much easier to sync with video for final production. But again, loved the cover. Def will be subscribing!

I feel as if you have your snare tuned a little low, sounds slightly dead, could be your resonate head, considering the wear on your batter its probably that, but hey, maybe you like it that way. I play a 20 ply 3x2" vented Epek snare and its got insane power..... Just wondering if thats your preference i guess?

Hey bro, have you looked into the Audix D6 kick drum microphone? If not you definitely should, I use it and love the lows and punch it provides. It adds so much more life to your kick drum. Good job.

I'm mostly interested in the clear (acrylic?) hardware. Always wanted a clear kit since i saw travis barker playing one as a kid.

Hey, you can watch this video and other videos which are "Not available" on mobile devices if you use the DEKSTOP version of youtube, and not the mobile version. Basically go to 'youtubeDOTcom' and not 'm.youtubeDOTcom'. If you're using youtube on the iphone app, you should be able to select 'Desktop' From the drop down menu on the left.
