Seriously. Most other bands that play simple 4/4 songs just use the same drum beat over and over again. Sure, a roll here, a fill there. But Travis makes this band. His drumming really helps make each song stand out when half the album uses recycled pop-punk chord progressions and the other half are just slight deviations from recycled pop-punk chord progressions.

That kit is fucking beautiful, my dude. The acrylics have come a long way in terms of sounding good over the years. I am not a fan of how pitchy they can sound, but the “fast” Tom design helps a ton with this kit. Those toms sound beautiful. The resonance from the acrylic you want without the overtones as the head settles.

There’s clearly a massive momentum that is a relentless part of Travis’ energy in all songs I’m sure you feel it in the consistency of his transitions with the flow of power. Seamless from chorus to verse, he is just in a constant state of giving it his all That’s where people will say he’s technical..but that’s just Travis..giving it his total artistic voice. Full blown drum genius

Hands down my favourite drums of any blink song possibly my favourite of all pop punk. Love your other cover, the snare on this one sounds so nice. So jealous of you man, i’m like 60% of the way through this, it’s the first song I’m really investing time into learning, started drums 9 months ago, used a practice pad for a year before once a week for a few hours, then started learning this after 2 months, so 7 months in and i’m over halfway done! I’ve nailed the chorus and the section after the chorus including the tom section with the cheeky open hat on the the second bar before the third
