    As a guy who has too many tools, I found that having too many of the same sizes and similar tools made my drawers feel cluttered. When I organized my sockets I had 4 - 11mm and no 10's so I completed the runs and then removed all the extras. now I can tell when my son or father in law uses my tools because the are not put back.

    Definitely the direction I plan to go. Been watching them the last year.

    Excellent setup. The tool grip seems to be especially good for sockets and ratchets. So much of the value of having tools is in their organization, and it's like therapy for me. There is nothing quite like the majesty of perfect rows of sockets and wrenches.

    From someone that has done that tool grid system in the newer version of that same tool box with an added row of drawers so I have 2 complete socket drawers one ase and the other metric it is a lot of work but best system I have found in my 34 years of being a memechanic

      I also did my ratchet drawer with the tool grid. But I used wrench organizers from Ernest to do my 2 wrench drawers they seem to work the best for fitting most in the space

      Thank you! Someone at work ordered sockets for the shop community box that was backwards. I kept grabbing the blue SAE when I needed metric.

    Ill start off by saying, ill be purchacing their products.... its inevitable, however many others can,and will argue... is it worth it.... personally i say yes.... being a beginner tech with multiple different socket options in the top drawer(and NEEDING MORE) i fully stand by this orginazation and appreciate its beauty....
    I would be red in the face looking for my 10MM 1/2 inch drive socket i lost in the previous customers car, if i didnt have this setup..(modify this setup to show missing tools/ HIGH VIS missing tool type concept).. I also, would loose valuable time looking for said socket. The fact that this system is so modular is key, you set it up to WORK for YOU. The variety of oprions that OLSA TOOLS offers is a fair deal in itself. Do yourself a favor and grab you a small set to fill one drawer, amd see if its worrth it to YOU or NOT worth your money. Worst case, you give it to a buddy or someone that will enjoy it. 🤷

    i love this video and the concept!!! how ever im a little worried about the money being pumped into it and if you get a new tool or two or three in any drawer but specially the top drawer you're scrambling to move EVERYTHING around for 1-3 new tools, but again looks good when set up!

      I believe this is for the "end-game" techs and hobbyists. I WANT IT personally as a beginning technician, but non-necessity st the moment.
      Way I see it if it makes your job 0.5 hour shorter, it's worth it...

      This is actually an advantage for tool grid if you compare it to kaizen foam. Also you don’t have to move everything around if you’re smart about reserving some space for expansion.

    It looks cool and it’s a cool concept I thought about it but my only thing if needed to take the whole socket set you couldn’t do it but what I love about older 6s boxes yours has it my old one did my new doesn’t but that divider in your socket drawer that long strip of metal is to hold socket trays Mac still has the in some socket set but more of a older thing the metal socket trays had a hanger where you could hang it on the side of your cart but matco put them on there boxes so you could hang them and have room for other stuff my old double bank 6s had it and was made in 2009 my new triple bank 6s well I bought it new in 2023 same box as your without the lockers it 87 inches long and 31 inches deep I think is 25 or 27 inches deep but doesn’t have it just 31 inches deep of drawer yes I like the extra depth but I miss that divider

  • @joeyjordan1209
    @joeyjordan1209 22 дня назад

    The One thing I don’t like is the ability to grab a whole set of sockets.. I often just grab a whole set of say 1/4” shallows and a ratchet and walk to my truck or trailer or whatever I’m working on since I’ll be dealing with multiple sizes.

    Huge gaps between sockets. Always something wrong with organizers.

  • @robv4053
    @robv4053 10 дней назад

    Some input from an old wrench turner about this system. First thing, put dead rows between your short sockets. You get older and you have plenty of joint and arthritis issues and you just cannot grab them so close together. The biggest issue with Olsa's system is identifying the sizes. Eyesight definitely doesn't get better with age and you want to be able to get what you need first time. There are a few systems that have clear size indicators that protrude through the sockets. Cannot beat them! Olsa labels are TERRIBLE! The do not stay put. The plastic mounts have a little texture to them and the stickers have poor adhesive. Couple this with those of us who coat our tools to prevent rust and they'll all fail in no time. They really need to change the design to tiles where you can read the size and it's permanent. Now the way you can organize ratchets and extensions is on of the best I have need and used! However, there’s also better for wrenches and pliers. Just like all of them, none of the systems make a single, solid organization solution. Mixing and matching is key for a box that not only looks good, but works good.

      True, or SAE, but America is one of only a few countries that uses it, and the most represented on youtube from what I've seen and the most well known for it. It's not technically correct, but not really inaccurate either?
