Commentator - "JT not only deked Realmuto, but the 3rd base coach as well!" Replay - (Shows 3rd base coach frantically screaming at Realmuto to stay on the bag)
Kind of amazing just to see any call over turned at this point in the MLB on replay review. It almost seems like they’re making a point to not over turn anything just to show everyone who’s boss.
At 1:29 you see that the actual fake was that the catcher tagged the runner with an empty glove while holding the ball in his throwing hand, and none of the people involved, including the announcers, noticed. Jedi level.
I just woke up and this is the first video that popped up on my home page. I read your comment as "BRO HE CHEATED". went beck and looked at it over and over again, looked for the game and found the clip and still couldn't identify the cheating. And then I realized that "wtf! he just caught the ball! and yet a home run was counted". Then went back here to ask you why did it happen since I'm very new to baseball, for me to realize that you said catch not cheat. I hate my life. Edit: he didn't catch it. It actually touched the tip of the glove and fell behind him.
So basically there is a tradition where if you catch a home run from the opposing team your supposed to throw it back so he switched it out effectively, for one from the store pls reply to my comment and tag me in it if you have anymore questions

At 1:30 the catcher tags with his glove, but he has the ball in his other hand? That would seem to qualify as a fake out...

Unbelievable.
So why would buddy throw a ball on the field just to keep...a different one? From the opposing team? Like did he bring it from the store or something?
