  • Just a few tips for changing an axle seal. Don’t forget to check the vent on your differential. A plugged diff vent can cause an axle seal to leak; in this situation the seal was severely worn.

    Where did you get the new seal? I am trying to buy one but don’t know which is correct

      I got it from Oriellys. I don’t remember the part number. But it should be stamped on the inside of the seal. Also, I have had the best luck with national brand seals.

      Hi sir. I got a precision seal from oriellys. Part number is 370047A, could you let me know if that looks right?

      I would be reluctant to say that is or is not the correct seal for your truck, as the dimensions may vary from year to year. Typically Oriellys website is pretty accurate on the application guide, if you want to check the part number vs the application.
