in my opinion Elena loved Stefan for three reasons, one because he felt safe like he would never die, which was appealing after her parents death, two because of the whole doppelganger thing, and because he was compassionate and hot. however with Damon she fell in love with him due to his moments of selflessness and compassion, when he would be kind and caring rather than the selfish act, which in my opinion he put on to distance himself from his brother and those around him. (also just wanted to add the whole Damon loves Elena no matter what, even if she's a vampire, yet Stefan was hesitant when Damon asked why he wanted the cure for her) personally i don't like Elena as the main character because like with what Kathrine would always point out, Elena always needed someone to hold her hand through everything she could never do anything by herself and when she did she would always need Stefan and Damon to come in and save her, basically a constant damsel in distress and yet SHE ALWAYS MADE THE BIG DECISIONS which always annoyed me. which is why i'm loving Hope in Legacies cause she, although being the main character, is always saving others and being the 'hero' rather than waiting around to be saved. (sorry for ranting...)
So.......she always make big decisions and somehow she’s the damsel? Katherine couldn’t make it a couple of months as a human so she really doesn’t get to take on Elena lol
elena was human...... in a world full of vampires..... hope is a witch, vampire and werewolf at the same time... of course she’s going to be saving more people. elena can’t do anything and her life was also always in danger.... obviously she needed help
It’s Dawson’s Creek 2.0 with just as much racism and a little less misogyny. The same issue as with DC happened in TVD. The original couple is supposed to reunite, but the writer’s room couldn’t make it work. May be Julie and Kevin will figure it out in a third attempt.
