I think the reason for it being Benny that's the sentient one is because it's an extension of his role in the story of basically creating the circumstances for a "golden ending" where the player can be in charge of things. His final wish essentially being "You use Yes Man to take over Vegas, because that plan is my legacy" could be alternatively read as an NPC realizing that, because they are an NPC, they can't win the game by definition, but if they give you the choice and you take it, then it's sort of similar.
Pretty sure walking corpses refers to a glitch that could happen in fallout 3 where if you killed someone and did a quicksave/quickload the body would be upright and sometimes the person would "resurrect" with the npc still being alive. Theres an entertaining video out there of a jumble of giblets floating around and talking
Yeah, that one is far more probable.
And his info on Trauma Harness is wrong- you supposed to wear it already before you got shot, the "return to base" function is engaged if the suit is worn and the person inside is injured. The glitch, aside from working incorrectly if home base wasn't designated, also deemed any injury as critical, engaging even when a minor injury was sustained.
@@masterzoroark6664 Plus the big mountain scientists are the ones in the suits. They needed them to contain the threats in Big MT after the bombs dropped, due to them having no help from the now irradiated wasteland.

Making a prediction that a famous person is going to die is never going to be wrong.
The Shaun is not Father theory has 2 holes that I can point out:
- Kellogg's memories of his childhood clearly show that he was a kid during the founding of the NCR, proving that he's indeed around 100 years old.
- Kellogg was only recently living in Diamond City with the boy, proving that the boy in the memories was the synth. And the memories talk about Kellogg being sent to hunt down Virgil, and Virgil only recently left the institute, further proving that the boy in the memory is the synth.
I definitely believe that father is lying, but I watched this video about it and it pretty much sums up how I feel, yes Shaun isn't father there is evidence for it and all that, but Bethesda definitely made Shaun Father, so I say either way shoot him lol

2 things. First, and I mean this with absolutely 0 ill intent, I love falling asleep to your vids. Your voice is like melatonin, and the topics always give me fascinating dreams. Second, for the Meta version of this iceberg, I remember Todd the Bodd Howard saying that there was one secret that nobody had figured out yet. Was there any resolution to that? Not sure if it would have popped up at any point in the clearly extensive research you do before these behemoth videos. You know, I just watched this today, and wasn't aware when you released it, but the "as far as I know, the Queen is still alive" part hit a little hard, lol. Oh well, date was wrong, but the rest of the message about her death and the sentiments are eerily familiar to the recent week.

It was hardly a prediction that one day the queen would die, and yes she was one of the most world-famous people who was still alive, so the world would notice her passing.
Instead of Vault-tec being the ones to start the great-war, I think it's most likely just that they were only one of the companies the were making/supplying nukes to just the US and in some way or another the Chinese got their hands on some of them and used them on the U.S., hence the undetonated nukes barring a variation of the vault-tec logo.

That’d be interesting given they were brought to existence from the US military. Maybe they were able to smuggle American nukes to China, using their experiments as an excuse.
When it comes to ghouls going feral I can't remember exactly but I'm fairly certain in the fallout 4 nuka-world DLC you meet a magician ghoul who's girlfriend left to try and find a cure for being a ghoul as in some of his journal entries on terminals and holotapes I'm fairly certain he mentions more and more of his co-worker devolving from regular ghouls into feral ghouls with prolonged exposure to radiation and in fallout 3 I seem to remember a ghoul I met during the tenpenny tower quest line mention that he was just waiting out his days until he also turned feral as the radiation that sustained him also degraded his brain and that turning feral was the eventual unavoidable end for all ghouls. Again I can't remember all of this exactly as its been a long time since I played but if I'm remembering correctly it might not be that there is a gene that makes you turn into a ghoul instead of dying but perhaps there is a gene or some other factor that influences your resistance to the negative effects of radiation with those without it just dying, those with it mutating into ghouls instead of dying and those with a particularly strong resistance able to hold onto their sanity unlike their feral counterparts. Could also just be some bodies are better at metabolising radiation better than others with some able to get rid of it before it kills them outright and turns them into a ghoul instead and some able to get rid of it before it turns them feral. Just a personal theory
Ghouls are those chosen to live with Atom, aka Ug-Qualtoth. The entity the Dunwich family worshipped and worked its will granted them eternal life through ghoulification. Ug-Qualtoth is an evil god, so feral is a symptom of that. The fountain of Ug-Qualtoth's eternality flows through radiation.

Post Hoover Dam content for FNV is not even theory, it was confirmed by devs. There is even cut lines and stuff meant for it, but due to time constraints, they made the choice not to include it, because they wouldn’t have nearly enough time to finish it.

The "Fallout 3 supposedly predicting the future" thing is absolutely fascinating to me. I've actually looked into it a little bit, trying to see where this creepypasta originates. The earliest version I can find dates to 2013, well after the BP oil spill and Gary Coleman's death, so in all likelihood the modern version of this story, complete with dates and times, was made up after the fact. However, I have actually come across a forum that has posts from January 2010, months before either of those events, that was discussing this creepypasta. Then again, the story seems to have changed between the 2010 version and the 2013 version, which was the first version I could find on the Wayback machine. None of the posts from 2010 have any mention of times or dates for the two events that DID happen, and the image links they provide don't yield anything. As I stated before, even putting the link through the wayback machine only gets something from 2013, a full 3 years after the supposedly predicted events. Do keep in mind, an oil spill in the Gulf and the phrase related to Gary Coleman are still present in the original forum posts, which, if nothing else, is a really creepy coincidence (though the stuff related to the Gulf spill said that a BP tanker had exploded, not that an explosion had caused a well to leak).
Of course, there is still a lot that doesn't add up. Fallout 3 also supposedly predicted the death of the Queen in 2014, yet she's still alive as far as we're aware. They also predicted that Britney would win an Oscar on Feb 27, 2023. That one has yet to be confirmed, but I see it unlikely that it will happen. There's also no convincing evidence that this "secret radio station" exists or can be found. There are recreations and parodies on RUclips, but to my knowledge there is no gameplay of Fallout 3 with this radio station reading out these numbers. So I don't know.
Obviously the courier is *Luck, as well... does that need explaining? Almost everyone you come across mentions your luck (and I played with it on 2 luck max) and Benny's famous speech and Doc Mitchell all agree! :)

"Before the Big One some meat companies were experimenting with a cheap protein extract for growing food, but they had to ditch it. One little skin bacteria contaminates it, and it's all screwed. The contaminated version acted like an amphetamine when ingested. Little side effect. Don't ask. It's, uh, technical. When they first screwed up, they contaminated tons of that shit. And rather than ditch it, they fed it to their brahmin herds to try and recoup their losses."
So he says that pre-war cows had this protein extract added to their biology, but the idea that pre-war people were creating a drug called Jet out of these cows' dung fumes comes from Fallout 4.
Isnt there a lady that says she was addicted to jet before he was born? Also the chosen one says the chemical compand is so simple if you have chemistry knowledge
While I was playing NV the other day I travelled to Broc Flower Cave but just south of it can be a spawn for a NCR and Legion conflict. I witnessed a huge explosion ( not caused by me ) and when I arrived all characters were dead, stood around the spawn I started to hear strange noises I have never heard playing any Fallout Title before, it sounded like lots of people talking and laughing, literally like somebody recorded a canteen of people. It was very creepy and this only happened in that one location. If anyone else has experienced this or can investigate please let me know.
That's probably a sound script issue, but I couldn't be sure. That laughing sound was probably from the Freeside ambience files.

I don't know if someone has already mentioned this, if we're willing to eschew the first number, Micah 7:13 is a perfect description of fallout and one of its major themes a whole, which would be fitting for Vault 13, the starting and ending point of Fallout 1:

Just a slight correction we do have known fact that there was going to be a post game in fallout new Vegas but it was cut my reference is triangle city on RUclips as well as the cutting room floor
The "Vault Tec started the war" theory comes from the film treatment for the Fallout Film that was set to be made by Interplay Film. In the film treatment it states "The first nuclear bomb was launched by the creator of the vaults, a zealot businessman who wanted to fulfill his own prophecy of world annihilation. That first bomb triggered a panicked chain reaction among other countries, leading to a four hour WWIII."
Obviously the film was never made and even if it were the canon nature of the film was probably always going to be dubious at best, but Fallout is full of people in power not making the logical decision. The fact nuclear bombs were dropped at all is proof people were acting irrationally.
Relevant bits of Psalm 111:
"He has caused His works to be remembered."
The Sole Survivor was preserved through the apocalypse.
"He provides food for those who fear Him."
Because the Sole Survivor leaves the vault, many homesteads are started and protected.

I've always thought New Vegas as a story that would be told by either the courier or somebody else, hence why everybody helps and stuff like that

I believe that Father is your son, because if you change the way your character looks in a noticeable way, Father will change that way too, and he doesn't drop when you kill him.

19:34 well there's some dialogue where Father is talking down to Kellogg about him killing his mother and even when the Sole survivor defends and sympathies with Kellogg Father still has hatred toward him making it seem more personal and less of an act, yeah it's just a theory but that's why it's fun to find things that retcon it. It doesn't matter anyway because it's just a theory!!

I'd have to go do the sequence again but he mentions the old man in a way that sounds like he's talking about father. Well its a theory thay claims that Lonesome Road is the purgatory, and that Ulysses actually died in the Divide, and is punishing the Courier for his crimes. If you convince him not to fight you, then the Courier is forgiven for the destruction of the Divide and can finally leave the purgatory.
It still blows my mind that house wouldn't be Endurance. He's luck but why? The casino you said. He's actually Endurance, he's been playing the LOOONG con with these guys remember he was just waiting on the P. Chip.
I don't know if the characters chosen for the SPECIAL are based in the theory or chosen by N_orte, but they're all way off.
Lanius would be Strength over Caesar. The definition of Perception used to qualify Ulysses is not at all what the Perception stat in the game dictates (that one should go to Manny or Boone or something). I really think House should be Intelligence what with building a robotics company, designing a defense array that spared his section of the world from nuclear holocaust, creating a personal stasis pod to keep himself alive for centuries, and forming a 15-or whatever-point plan to bring back society and colonize foreign worlds within 50 years. And honestly, if not Luck like another comment suggested, I don't think the courier belongs on the list because they're your character and meant to personify whichever SPECIAL stats you choose for them.
yea house could be endurance for surviving so long and playing the long game, and the courier could easily be luck. Pretty lucky to survive being shot in the head, and u cud consider it lucky that they're in the right place at the right time to influence the major story events.

So here’s my theory; nick Valentine is actually the mystery man that helps you sometimes, his whole personality is based off a pre war detectives life, he wears the same coat, the same hat in the stories

Personally, for fallout NV not having post game content, I do think time restraints did play part, but also how the game would continue past the player choosing the NCR or legion. If one took over and had as much power as said in the epilogue cutscene, I'm sure that a lot of quests, locations, and even NPC's would cease to make sense, or exist. Not saying that having a Legion/NCR/Wild Card post game world wouldn't be cool, but it would simply take away a lot of the small details before most players could see them. Assuming most 1st time players just complete the story first, and immediately went into post game world, they'd miss a lot, y'know? It'd feel kinda out of place and wasted time to have details in a world in which most players aren't in.
Isn't "Walking Corpses" about a glitch where "gibbed"/blown apart bodies would reassemble and act like a full-body live NPC after reloading a game? I feel like I remember hearing that somewhere, probably wrong though, just feels like a very "Bethesda" glitch
I'm pretty sure McCready's appearance in fallout 4 completely debunks the whole "4 is a hallucination" and so much other stuff linked directly to the expanded lore that the de survivor couldn't have just dreamed up

I've never been able to take the "Vault Tec started the war" theory seriously at all. I can get behind your idea that different branches of a company use different logos, that can totally happen. What I think happened with the Fatman-type nuke in Megaton, is that it's a docking clamp marker for either a mechanical latch, or a magnetic one where it's safe to place it there for transportation. After all, it's a bomb, not an ICBM. It HAD to be transported by a bomber and you need to know how to carry these things safely, after all.
I recall also hearing that the Megaton nuke is in a crater BECAUSE it fell from a bomber breaking apart during the Great War. Actually, a real life example of this happened at the fishing town of Palomares in Spain in 1966 where a B-52 managed to self-destruct by colliding with its own mid-air refueling tanker plane, losing not one, but *four* B28FI nuclear bombs. Much smaller than the one from Fallout 3, but, these are docked safely for bombing transport for a reason, and I bet this is where this painted-on marker would come in play.
Having never blown up megaton I had never seen a Goul Moira and that was just absolutely shocking 😂
Father not being Shaun is one of my personal favorites just because no proof is ever offered. He just says it and you are supposed to believe it. This would also be a way to help account for the SS's inability to factor in that he/she doesn't really know when the boy was taken
That could be explained by Fallout 4’s not so good writing.

Few things that i think about with "New Vegas isn't canon" (barring the people just wanting to flame New Vegas fans) is that Bethesda is focusing more on the east coast with 4, whereas 3 had references and such because
1. It was a new title in the series and needed to have some connections with the previous games
2. There wasn't much else to work off of unless they wanted just brand new factions (which, like the previous point, wouldn't work and would annoy older fans)
3. New Vegas has a *lot* of different endings, so Bethesda didn't want to make one of them canon and felt the best way to handle it is to leave it ambiguous and to just focus on the story they wanted to tell.
4. Safe to say that with New Vegas existing, Bethesda doesn't want to touch the content as they may fear fans accusing them of retconning stuff from Vegas
I always thought that older fans wanted new factions on the east coast and one of the primary criticisms of 3 was why do we have all these west coast things on the east coast.
At 15:04 when you talked about the Obsidian/Bethesda geographical split for the games' settings, it made me wonder, will Bethesda or Microsoft ever let Obsidian helm a Fallout game again with Bethesda and Microsoft as publishers? I heard mixed things about Outer Worlds (I think that's the newest Obsidian game)

Who's to say that vault tec wasn't just another contractor for the United States government? Vault tec, General atomics and robco built all kinds of stuff, maybe vault tec dabbled in bombs too.
I was always under the impression that ghouls would go feral if they got more irradiated, I mean with large doses over a long time. I think that also makes the most sense, since too much of a good thing (radiation being generally good for a ghoul) is bad.
About the Jet thing I think you have to take Myron's statements as true (cause if you're argument is that Myron could be lying then the Chosen One could just be throwing out guesses based on his experience and also be wrong) and in the end separate gameplay from lore in this instance. In many Fallout locations that hasn't seen daylight since the Great War broke out you can find Jet, it's just one of these things that the level designer can't be faulted for since Jet is a common item and it needs to be supplied to the player regularly since it has benefits to gameplay.
And yeah Bethesda may not want to touch the west coast but they sure like fucking with their factions lmao, Fallout 3 is a fucking mess of factions that has no right being there.
Father not being your son is a theory I quite like, cause it could be true or not and you'd really have no way of knowing unless the writers come out and state the truth. Honestly though I think he is your son and they just wanted to squeeze in another major character and they thought that the PC spending ton of time in cryo after Shaun was kidnapped was a "shock" moment for players and would get them more interested in a story that really has nothing interesting about it.
Back to the whole thing about video game characters telling the truth or not I think in the end it's the truth unless they are disproven by another character in the same game or they are a notorious compulsive liar. RPG dialog is made to be as informative about the world as possible without being a information dump.
Friendly reminder that romancing Curie is incest in the event Shawn (Father) is in fact your son. All the gen 3 synth's are based off of Shawn's dna which is your dna sense he's your son. That means once Cure gets a Synth body she is related to you.
Jet is basically jankum so it's not something completely new

Besides it makes sense for China to be the one that attacked first as they were most likely dealing with way more trouble on the home front than the US was because not only did they just get kicked out of Alaska, but they are also being invaded on their own soil so China was probably very much on the brink of civil war. So China most likely decided that since it wasn’t going to survive, they might as well drag the US down with them and launched their nukes.

The reason I think Pam or some other computer could be the cause of the Great War is simply because the movie war games . I mean it almost exactly repeats the plot points for war games . The only thing missing are the two teenage protagonists trying to reason with the computer .
