If you're a sneaker fan, then theres no doubt you've heard of Patta. Created by two friends of Suriname decent, Patta has been one of the more active brand collaborations with Nike lately.
But to judge Patta by its cool sneaker collabs and apparel alone, is kinda missing the point. Fact is, the Dutch label has intrinsically woven community into the very fabric of it's DNA.
But how exactly? How did 2 guys from Suriname help to create an entire subculture in their new home country, and a name for themselves the world over?
