- Loading this ship took roughly I think 12 shifts. Total of just over 62,000 Jas. Had some bad weather in between but overall went quite smooth. This ship is the largest ever log export from our Wharf. Great team of people here working very long hours to make it happen. Music is not to everyone's taste so if you don't like it mute and put the radio on lol. I also am running new software and having trouble adjusting so sorry for the basic transitions. Thanks again to all who watch and take the time to share for me. Means a lot. Comments good and bad are always welcome, I answer them all.

Another great video Dai. And as usual, I love asking questions.
1. The holds on the Conrad Oldendorff say "Fuel Oil Tanks". Were they tankers previously and just repurposed for logs now? If that is true, is it common?
2. Looking inside those big hold tanks looks intimidating to me, and a bit frightful, especially in the dark. There are a lot of "Ship Horror" films out there (Sea Fever, Ghost Ship, Titanic, Poseidon Adventure, etc), but is there one that involves a crane operator causing havoc or other bad stuff with the cargo? Like burying people alive in a grain hold or something similar? Watching your videos makes me want to see a horror movie about that!!! (kinda weird, I know)
3. I'll bet I'm not alone in saying that you could make your videos even longer and we'd still enjoy them. And thanks for the titles and Helper Text along the way the keeps people like me better informed about what's going on there. It's a lot of fun to watch!

The ship I believe is purpose built for bulk cargo not converted from a tanker.
🤣😂 as for a horror movie involving cargo ships I’ve not heard of one, you can find accident at sea on RUclips some bad others funny.
This movie was taken from a 6x24 hour shift. So getting it down to a 24 min film takes a lot of editing. Lots of time. Also the music as I’ve explains in the past is my taste I love EDM music it makes me happy and work well on a long shift with. Also it’s very hard finding music to go in movies cos of copyright claims. I’m very unprofessional at this self taught and trying to find out things as I go. 😜

There are fuel tanks in the bottom and sides (wing tanks) of the ship. These are marked to prevent accidental hot works in those areas, or to allow quick identification of which liquid is held in which wing tank (e.g. fuel, fresh or ballast water). Also it serves to raise awareness of the stevedores not to dump heavy loads on the tank top (e.g. scrap iron cargo, etc…), as this can cause damage and leaks.

Only way we can see in the holds is on the camera set up at the top of the boom. Pretty much the same at the start of all the log boats but this one more as it was 20,000 more 😂🤙

Привет, большинство наших кораблей вмещают от 36 000 до 43 000 тонн. мы загружаем примерно 3 полные смены. мы загружаем судно водоизмещением 63 000 тонн, но не часто. спасибо за комментарий и надеюсь, что это вам понятно. 😜🤙

Negative nothing damaged. I guess you mean tape flapping. Just markers put on the cord to help judge height when out of sight. Hope that helps 😜
