Thank you everyone for the support on this video! a few things based on feedback received Going to start saying what the scare actors say in clips (or at the very least add captions), but here are the following voice line clips in the video 6:14 The Mother: "Why did you leave me son? To die?" 6:21 The Collector: "Contract fulfilled. Your soul is mine!" 6:34 Announcement: "Pinestraw Spruce is playing at Barrel House Blues" During the cemetery section of the video I misidentified the instrument at 5:30 it's an Upright Bass not a Cello If you have any future HHN house retrospective video ideas please let me know
Would absolutely love to see a retrospective on Blood Moon: Dark Offerings; between that one and Dead Man's Pier the year before, I am still not over their set designs.
Fun fact: if you listen to the podcast on the HHN channel called "Haunted Tales" they tell the story and mention a few details. When you enter Bub's lounge and see Pinestraw on stage, behind him is an old, dusty purple guitar that belonged to another man who sold his soul to the Collector, a cuban guitar player named Roberto "El Brujo" Fuentes. The collector taught him how to play guitar with a switchblade instead of a pick. Later in the maze you'll see his grave, and in the Hell sequence you'll see him fused to the wall with his guitar and his switchblade in hand.
I definitely want a retrospective of Blood Moon, if only because I don't live anywhere near Orlando and have to rely on video to see the houses. All the footage I've seen has been missing great chunks of the rooms, so it'd be great to actually see the whole thing.
It's currently on the poll in the community tab! Blood Moon was so good last year, and usually in my experience had shorter waits which was a win for me but a huge shame
Please keep making videos like this! They're so good! 🩷 But in the future could you possibly tell us what the scare actors are saying? I couldn't understand what the mother, soul-taker, or the announcement was saying. Besides that, great video as always!
Thank you so much! Noted for future videos. For this video the clips are saying The Mother: "Why did you leave me son? To die?" The Collector (soul-taker): "Contract fulfilled. Your soul is mine!" Announcement: "Tonight Pinestraw Spruce is playing at Barrel House Blues"
I just found you and I love your videos! This was my 2nd HHN and i guess im just easily impressed because i really like the Chucky house especially the fake out. Anyway please keep making videos like these. Fingers crossed for a nightmare fuel show retrospective
1. This house should’ve had Blue’s music playing near-throughout the entire thing. Like (a) comment(s) I saw said, maybe it could’ve distorted as things got more and more out of control with the music playing backwards when you’re in Hell? 2. I think an ending where Spruce is alone in a room, his fame having died out just before the Collector comes to get him right before guests enter the Hell scene would’ve been a darker and more impactful ending, IMO.
I agree with both your points, the music part may be due to creative not wanting the music to get in the way from the scares but having another Pinestraw Spruce scare actor at the end would have been a lot more impactful
@@not8park Don't get me wrong, I think last years original houses were all good, and were head and shoulders above almost all the IP houses(Chucky was ****). BMDO was great as well. But this one was the cats pyjamas, and the only one I did more than 2/3 times. Great video, keep on doing the work!
@not8park I think Yeti was my 2nd favorite. It was fun, and I loved the campground vibes. I can confidently say my least favorite house was Chuckys. Terrible house for sure.
@@not8park thank you. I will say it was all a creative concept. My personal favorite (probably) would be bugs eaten alive. I have never gone to one of these type of events, but it looks cool story and spook wise. I personally didn’t find the holes scary ( I have trypophobia), but that’s more of that I am not scared of Craters, nor honey comb type of holes. And the holes on the faces looked like craters to me personally. And also it only really un nerves me. But I loved the style of how all the bugs looked
Never tough someone would do an in depth eassays about last years houses, cant wait to see the rest of the houses covered❤️🩹. I LOOOOOVE the history of this house, even more the haunted tales they did,the first one that had the houses main character chilling, but the history about el brujo BLEW my mind, since it was told in spanish(my native language) so it was awesome to get that little bit of worldbuilding, even now that there embracing the hispanic culture with monstruos(becuse one of the creatives is of latin america) ........anyway gotta go....... i have to sold my sole so i can become a succesfull content creator😊
Glad you enjoyed the video! are there any houses you want to see the future covered? I'm excited for Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America as well! I heard the hollywood version last year was excellent

Nightingales: Blood Pit would make for a great deep dive.

Blood Moon: Dark Offerings is on the community tab poll right now! Putting Dead Man's Pier: Winter's Wake on the idea list thanks
I also think about Blood Moon: Dark Offering from time to time. And the darkest deal. Definitely two houses I won’t be forgetting.
@not8park please review the haunted house with phantom of the opera, invisible man, mr hyde, and Quasimodo

that's super neat to see, thanks for bringing this up!

5:30 - that's an Upright Bass. Also, its pronounced chell-oh, not cell-oh.
thank you for pointing this out!
The podcast episode gives a lot lore behind the house
Good to know thanks!
I would love to see blood moon dark offerings!
it's on the idea list!

I'm glad you liked Chucky, personally it just wasn't for me! Thank you much, nightmare fuel is noted!
brilliant video, i see a future for you in theme park media
thank you so much, appreciate it a ton!
Please keep making videos like this!
will do! thanks for watching
thus was probably one of my favorite houses of last year. it was great
definitely a top tier HHN house
@@not8park 100% yes, the prod team really cooked with this one.

on the list thanks!
This was one of my favorite houses!!!🙌🏻
do you have an all time favorite house?
@@not8park ooh that’s tough to choose just one! Maybe universal monsters unmasked or Dead man’s pier!
This was the best original house of HHN 2023 by a long margin.
As a huge Blood Moon Dark Offerings fan, I can agree with this

Don’t suppose you got one for Slaughter Sinema?
You’re in luck, the Slaughter Sinema retrospective is now live
It's definitely one of my favorite hhn houses overall! Theming was excellent!
theming was top tier in this house! what was your second favorite house from last year?
@not8park I think Yeti was my 2nd favorite. It was fun, and I loved the campground vibes. I can confidently say my least favorite house was Chuckys. Terrible house for sure.
@@therealventures You have good taste btw
Im a scare actor who works at a cedar fair park and omg im so jealous of the Universal haunts
Universal haunts are on another level, but I've heard scarowinds is really good though
6:14 What does she say? I can’t hear it and I wanna know. Great video!
"Why did you leave me son? To die?" and thanks for watching!

They based the main character on a real person?!?😮
yes it's loosely based on Robert Johnson
This one is the best that year
What was your second favorite house?
