So well put. I feel this way with all cello and violin solos. Like so vulnerable..yet so full of life. Like I’ve lived a thousand years and will live a thousand more. At peace with all that has been, and all that will ever be. Complete. Whole. United. In the company of God. Pure.
Nothing sounds more beautiful than a cello this is so dark, profound, magical, beautiful, authentic, romantic. I am amazed by the artist that manifested such felling
Cello is sorrowful, it draws out the pain and sentiment of human emotion. In better terms, it's one of those instruments you want played at your funeral but some of the life insurance money must go to purchase the cello played, only to be set on fire to never play those dreadful and painful tunes again. It is the most passionate of instruments and depending on the notes can be played sadly romantic or grim. It is the most intelligent instrument created.
I've seen him electronically loop drumbeats, plucked strings, etc so that he effectively gives himself a backup band, which might be what he's doing here, but it's still a genius move.
I remember being at a fair, when I was young. There was a man playing the violin. I just set in front of him while he played. I haven't had that feeling in a long time thank you. 🌕
You captured that feeling of desolation, loneliness, yearning.... it reminds me of old Hebrew melodies my grandmother played on her 12 string guitar or my Kantor grandfather singing them in the synagogue... like a prayer, like purging a soul of all the sadness.
BytomGirl am an arab and it seriously sound like how my grandfather used to play with his oud, specifically those lil yearning sad changes from tune to tune
This man is a genius, and like all the other geniuses the true value of his work will be appreciated after his death (unfortunately). I'm listening to him for some years now and probably heard all of his songs, and every one of them brings up new feelings. And, if you are lucky, you can feel this music with your soul and then realise what kind of a soul he must have to create such masterpieces. Yes, I'm a fan, but I'm not glorifying him because of that, but because I know what is really good when I hear it. I'd only wish more people could get to that level of comprehension. I take my hat off to him. Pun intended. :)
Desolate, desperate like a kid that the father passed away & have a schizophrenic mother who is unemployed & unable to find a job in a desolate land that was overpopulated, guess what? That kid is me.
This music can describe my life right now. I feel like I haven't properly mourn my grandfather's death due to my responsibilities and I have no choice but to be strong all the time as I want to break and shatter into pieces.
The music you play.... it's the best thing I've heard in years... no words I know can describe the feelings, memories, and wonders you brought to my mind. I have been looking for this something for a very long time, and I wish I could thank you in more than words on how you brought comfort to my mind and soul when I thought I could never have that feeling again. Thank you :)
Hi from north Dakota and I'm native American and I say that your amazing playing the cello when i go to pow wows I always have to listen to your amazing music
A complete desolation would be the impossibility of listening to your music, Adam. Heavens..., you are perfect. Thank you so much for sharing the beauty of your great talent.
Before i die, i need to hear you perform. In any manic state your music brings me peace and for some reason i don't feel so alone. beautiful and haunting
need i tell you that my headsets are on loudspeker and im speechless...all i can do is close my eyes short and listen to this forbidden beauty i have been blessed with
I have been madly inlove with the cello since I first heard one being played in Queen of the damned. yes, I have never heard of the cello untill I came to America. The cello stole my heart and soul! One day I hope to master the cello myself. No one has been able to play the cello the way I love it thus far, untill that is, now. Mr. hurst you play the cello to my hearts and souls frequency! smooth and gentle and fluid. just the way I love it.
"What a beautiful music" my husband said when he heard Adam Hurst the first time! And he was right! We need good music and a silent in this world ! I say that Adam Hurst is amazing! I'll spend more and more time, to discover him really!
It describes: Profound saddness. A type of saddness that has grown over the course of years. A person who has died a long time ago yet just a shell of there former self still breaths.
man. i miss playing the cello. i used to play it as a child and was actually into it for 2 years and now when i play it i sound weird. but i think im gonna actually buy one this time instead of renting one. ive been on a search for good cello music
This music will take your heart and mind and soul and throw it through the thin veil of reality and fantasy as everything but your physical form glides through the greatest journey it will ever take.
this actually has the tone of a duduk, so good. I appreciate a youtube cellist who has incredible skill. A lot of amateurs up in here which is fine but so refreshing to see a good instrumentalist.
Let alone the magnificent concentration portrayed by this brilliant artist and his multi-tasking with his two hands on the Cello, foot on the organ pedal, and his heart and soul on the feelings; this piece manifests so many dark, melancholic and archaically mysterious sensations in so many ways it's bringing out a dormant and odd side of me.
I don't know really what to say I am wordless!! Adam your music is amazing keep up the good work Your simply go to the soul directly and make the person just fly to another world
I was listening to a song in my car with a cello adding some amazing bass that sounded amazing with my sound system. So I googled "Songs with deep cello" and this video came up. I'm listening to it in my car and I am happy with you being the first recommended video! Beautiful!
I could feel and hear every note of this song through my body, you are truly an amazing artist and amazing with the cello, I'm going to continue to listen to your music and hopefully have the same feeling to every song.... your work is beautiful beyond belief
People keep in the comments say that the music describes desolation yet I think they only get that from the title, the same way people hear words when playing a record backwards when those words are suggested to them. When I listened to it, I thought nothing other than "this is beautiful" and I felt it more like a lively river from the way the music moved in one part, then a stasis, then it begins to move again, but not in the same way. This music is far too full to be desolation, yet it is the kind that is so unlike to what we are used to hearing that it can be compared to near anything, and it would still be valid.
There's something dark and sad about this... the deep tones of the sound, the dark look of the video... so desolation doesn't seem far... I could say the sound goes well with the emotion of missing someone or perhaps being defeated or some other not necessarily happy emotion...
absolutely no words.. but I feel like I've been looking for this my whole life
Indeed - (this is the sound of The perfect Day Dream)
This is exactly how I feel
I feel the same way u it's like the song is echoing throughout my soul truly a masterpiece
Ya absolutely no words :| and I love singing but THIS IS LOVLEY
So well put. I feel this way with all cello and violin solos. Like so vulnerable..yet so full of life. Like I’ve lived a thousand years and will live a thousand more. At peace with all that has been, and all that will ever be. Complete. Whole. United. In the company of God. Pure.

Rose Gold , violin is another beautiful instrument.
Cello is sorrowful, it draws out the pain and sentiment of human emotion. @Anthony Blue What a willfully ignorant and narrow minded comment. It's his perception of the instrument, and one that many people share.
@Anthony Blue Cute. Nicely done showing exactly the level of intellect we're dealing with, that ad hominem and "snowflake" comment suit you well.
@@ossiehalvorson7702 Dont pay much mind to him. He thinks hes so special because he didnt need "public school education"
I'm a rock and metal fan but I can't deny the sound of the cello this man plays it's beautiful.
Ever thought about that these two things go together quite well? Don't pigeonhole too much. Just think about Apocalyptica for example.
He's playing the pedals while playing cello! This man is a MASTER!
I've seen him electronically loop drumbeats, plucked strings, etc so that he effectively gives himself a backup band, which might be what he's doing here, but it's still a genius move.

It does have a very, very Hebrew or Arabic vibe to it.
Seth R.C Hebrew yes, Arabic rather not...
BytomGirl am an arab and it seriously sound like how my grandfather used to play with his oud, specifically those lil yearning sad changes from tune to tune
Saru, I suppose you are right.
BytomGirl music knows no borders my dear, its just an expression of feelings through an instrument from a human to the universe ♡
just wondering what kind of human dislikes this master piece?
so much appreciation and respect for this great cellist
There is nothing on this earth more beautiful sounding than the sound of a cello. It's deep rich tones provide an illusion of what heaven is.
Anyone still listening to this masterpiece?
This man is a genius, and like all the other geniuses the true value of his work will be appreciated after his death (unfortunately). sounds of a deserted land, longing for a bright future but only meeting desolation
ive been looking for you!

Desolate, desperate like a kid that the father passed away & have a schizophrenic mother who is unemployed & unable to find a job in a desolate land that was overpopulated, guess what? That kid is me.

Unbelievably thee most talented! ❤️👍
The feeling that this melody passes through my body is something beautiful
It's been said hundreds of times on videos such as this, but I highly recommend playing RainyMood while listening to this foreboding and eerie piece.
This music can describe my life right now. I feel like I haven't properly mourn my grandfather's death due to my responsibilities and I have no choice but to be strong all the time as I want to break and shatter into pieces.
This is sort of music I've been searching for, probably since before I existed... Just seems to reach so far back...
You are literally the best cellist I've heard. So beautiful!
Sir... You have a beautiful soul.

A complete desolation would be the impossibility of listening to your music, Adam. Heavens..., you are perfect. Thank you so much for sharing the beauty of your great talent.
Wagner Polveiro he has such talent. He deserves to be in so many operas and orchestras.
how does one even come up with such a magical piece.. i have no words
Before i die, i need to hear you perform. In any manic state your music brings me peace and for some reason i don't feel so alone. beautiful and haunting

When you can feel music like this while playing it, you truly have ascended something greater. Music does wonders for the soul!
Press the Repeat button and find yourself In the the deepest of dark places where everything is ok ...
It's the first song that makes me cry because of how beautiful it is instead of how sad it is. This is pure art...
This music will take your heart and mind and soul and throw it through the thin veil of reality and fantasy as everything but your physical form glides through the greatest journey it will ever take.
Simply otherworldly. Thank you

Truly painfully beautiful
Exactly why cellos are my favorite instrument.
I have no words to describe the beauty in your music.
For me this is amazing and seeing the passion in which they play-WOW!!!
Brilliant. It's like a mournful and anguished plea
the most beautiful work with a cello i have heard.
So heartfelt and beautifully played. This piece reminds me of a cantor.
O melodie superba!

There's something dark and sad about this... the deep tones of the sound, the dark look of the video... so desolation doesn't seem far... I could say the sound goes well with the emotion of missing someone or perhaps being defeated or some other not necessarily happy emotion...
Sehr, sehr schön gespielt!!!❤️
Absolutely amazing you inspire me wow
Wow... this is great!
