In terms of value, I'm not wild about the upgrades--and for almost twice the price. I'm much more impressed with the $75 Hulk or Datejust than I am with this $150 Oris/Seiko homage. I think the upgrades I was looking for were 200 meters WR, first class lume, and perhaps a lumed bezel. The improved case finishing and box domed crystal are nice, but are not really high value upgrades in my humble opinion.
You cant get everything you want on a watch unless they were making it just for you. If you look better Pagani has a watch with 200m. If they put the other improvements you like the price is sure to go up, Thats any company. Under 300$ is a good price for any watch that comes most of the things watch collectors like. Notice I didnt say all. Anything more, the more the company is known the more the price. See Seiko, Tissot, Oceanus, Orient Star, Citizen, and many other low level swiss watches. You are paying 400 to 600 for a decent watch.
I totally agree with you Jody, especially about the price increases. Better upgrades like 904L Stainless steel case and bracelets would warrant such price hikes. All the best my plum. JANBOY. RN. Rtd.

I love Pagani Design watches, and I’m glad to se them stepping up their game a little. I wish they would put a fully lined bezel on their divers. Great review as always Jody!!!
Pretty sure Pagani have factory trials every now & then of new bits without telling anyone. My GMT, purchased last 11/11 sale, came with a perfectly aligned 120 click bezel with no backplay, no 'Explorer' on dial, blinding lume that lasts all night & a cyclops perfectly lined up that doesn't cause vertigo. Guessing it was a Friday brain fart by someone in the factory. It also gains just under 3 seconds a week so it's my most accurate piece by far!

Hi Jody, nice review think I like the black one best. but already have two Pagani's so will skip these. keep up the good work. We are having a bit of a snow storm outside my window at the moment.

I bought a Pagani Chronograph based on your recommendation during an Ali Express sale. I received a GMT Explorer and after negotiating with Pagani kept the GMT for $20. I also took your suggestion for the all black ‘chain mail’ bracelet and I absolutely love the combination! This is a great watch! You can see some of the cost savings (60 click bezel, VERY slight mis-alignment of the bezel and the cyclops is slightly low). But all are barely noticeable. My Orient has some similar issues. I’m a fan.
Jody, FYI I bought the no time to die Pagani, but the premium did not translate to better quality control (wobbly bezel, fabric on band frays, alignment). Fantastic review I couldn't say no to either of these watches. Both look fantastic and I really like the finish on the case. I'm more of a field watch guy over a dive watch but these just grabbed my attention. Well done Jody, well done.

If you haven't already, I would encourage you to have a look at Steeldive's 62MAS homage. Great build quality, interesting two-tone lume, generously applied, and a very beautiful domed sapphire crystal. If you can stand the 15mm thickness, it's wonderful at the 150 USD range
kinda annoying that pagani actually listens to the demand and tries to please the buyer with value, while seiko just sits on their ass doing fuck-all....props to pagani 👍
I always get suggestion to use my 100 dollars to get Seiko 5 but it is hard to do so knowing Pagani Design and Alixpress like can deliver NH35 watches at 100 dollars mark while Seiko 5 use the same engine they use during ww2.
@@scope1122 The newer yeah sure. But try grabbing 80 dollars SNK809 or 100 dollars SNKL23. All of these use some ancient watch movement compared to Alixpress NH35.

Hey Jody! I enjoyed this review very much! You're calling these Seiko homages, but isnt't there a little bit of Christopher Ward C60 at least in the blue one (both, handset and case shape). Cheers!
Pagani Design Offical Store obviously does not spend any money on customer service if something goes wrong. So either get a decent watch for $115 or you do get a piece of 316L steel that you use as you wish, but not as a watch. No matter the dial color.

Well, I just ordered my first Pagani watch. It's the black and white 'panda' PD1644. Unfortunately I got the 30M WR variant because where I live the newer 100M WR version is selling at roughly 66% premium over the cheapest seller I could find of the older version, and I just couldn't justify that premium for the 100M variant especially given how I don't even swim these days at all. I hope mine isn't a dud...
Great video as usual, Jody! The lume (or the lack there of) is certainly a deal breaker for me!!! Hang on........what the hell am I saying?? I own a Casio Duro!! Oh, thats it. That bezel wobble.......uh uh, nah thanks!!
Excellent spec for the price. If only they got rid of the pointless date, & not keen on the name- but would be an great starting point for a bit of modding... Cheers mate 👍🏻👍🏻
@@23727bgk Fait point, but the 1953 clasp is good enough - doesn't need a cheap divers extension. And the mineral crystal suits me, easy to keep looking good with Polywatch. Plus, it has 200m water resistant....and better looks IMO. Each to their own I suppose. 👍
Dial and hands on the blue looks like a Christopher Ward (specifically the Dartmouth dial design), case design, sapphire crystal and bezel teeth very much look like the Glashutte Original 43mm diver..
I have 2 Pagani watches I have the Batman gmt master 2 homage and the Rolex explorer gmt homage with white face , I also have a few seikos and a Rolex yacht master that was handed down to me from my father , and I must say that the value for money with Pagani is phenomenal, what they can accomplish for 100$ blows me away , my seikos don't even use sapphire and they are 400$ watches ..... I've had the 2 Pagani watches for about a year and they still are going strong , ceramic bezel has held up beautifully
You may be overly critical of Pagani (Pagrne). They seem to be trying to provide a nice timepiece at an affordable price. That’s more than many other watch makers, which aren’t any more original than the next. Still, like your reviews; entertaining and informative
The blue colour set is more interesting. One thing I am puzzled is why Seiko or Omega or Tag Heuer homage is more expensive than a Rolex homage? What is the logic?
I don't think I've seen a company give the same reference number to two different designs before. The black dial is clearly meant to evoke the 62MAS, but the other one is more like a Christopher Ward C60 Trident.
This is unique enough to not be a homage to anything to me. If they'd make something similar with a 300M resistance it would be a nice beater to wear on a boat/beach etc
When I saw the title I was thinking this was gunna be like a $300 pagani. Lol I love that premium pagani just means a little over a $100.
Using the link it's currently $699

Great video as usual, Jody! The lume (or the lack there of) is certainly a deal breaker for me!!! Hang on........what the hell am I saying?? I own a Casio Duro!! Oh, thats it. That bezel wobble.......uh uh, nah thanks!!
Beautiful watches. 🥰 Soo much value for money.. have to invest in the blue one for sure.. great job Mr👌👍
Excellent spec for the price. If only they got rid of the pointless date, & not keen on the name- but would be an great starting point for a bit of modding...
Cheers mate 👍🏻👍🏻
The divers extension can be helpfull to get a better fit on a small wrist. It worked for me on the Pagani GMT Pepsi.
I've just had a conversation with my Invicta 1953 - it says it's not worried by this competition... :0)
On point. 😄
I like my 1953 as well, but it doesn't have a sapphire crystal or a milled clasp with solid end links...
I am happy with my Invicta, but the bracelet and crystal should be on par with the design and finish of the watch, imo.
Mine is still going strong. Probably the best PD I've owned 👍
What's your opinion on the Parnis Datejust 36mm? Loving the vids. Kind regards :)
I was wondering the same
Dial and hands on the blue looks like a Christopher Ward (specifically the Dartmouth dial design), case design, sapphire crystal and bezel teeth very much look like the Glashutte Original 43mm diver..
Unless I am mistaken, the watch has to be ISO compliant in order to use "Diver's xxxm" on the dial...
Love your videos! But why do you wear your watches SO TIGHT on your wrist? Doesn’t that get sweaty and uncomfortable??
Great value, but that hour hand on the blue one is tiny tiny
I like it. It has character. Not the typical off the shelf hour hand.
Nice.
Can’t beat them,for the price!
This is unique enough to not be a homage to anything to me. If they'd make something similar with a 300M resistance it would be a nice beater to wear on a boat/beach etc
Hey Jody, push pull or screw down crown?
Every time I think about buying a ‘pagani design’ watch it’s the name that puts me off. They should have a smarter name.
Nice watch, but the hour hand is far too small. I'm out, but i'm happy with that 😁.
