I am a believer. What has worked for me, to have assurance of salvation, is to testify of your faith in Christ. To tell someone. Not teach the bible, but to tell someone that you believe Jesus is the Son of God voluntarily, without prompting , without someone asking. NO MATTER WHAT YOUR FEELINGS. Just speak it.....and do it again. This worked for me....maybe you too.
Ihate to bresk this to you but vhrist was (for himself) destroyed forever some time ago and it is the case is it not that you have*absolutely_no* idea of whatever it was that the late christ was trying to convey, nor what his prescription was nor for what he prescribed whatever he prescribed?
Which is probably why there neither are, nor could possibly be any what-are-called " christians" for exactly the same reason that there are no can-stand-on-their-own-shoulders_ians.
There being *no_way* of discovering what christ's point was You have*no-_way* of discovering what it might mean to be a christian, have Particularly now that any tradiyion that christ might have started( which was almost entirely oral) is now -as -it must be, extinct.
I'm a 13 year old boy and I'm dealing with emotional doubt one day I had asked this question what if God didn't exist and what if this was all just fake I got so scared I hade a panic attack and I felt emotionless and empty inside I really do want do want walk the world with god I know the universe didn't create itself and I know that when you die you're either welcomed into God's kingdom or thrown into the fires of hell but yet my mind still doubts but deep down in my heart I know God exists I've felt him before I love him and feel empty without him and then my mind ask what if God doesn't exist again I'm so scared I want to be with god and don't want it any other way
Caveman Spongebob hey!!! You are loved by God beyond doubt! I went through the same thing almost at your age (I’m 32 now) and I can tell you you’ll be fine. Remember that we don’t battle against flesh and blood but against rulers and authorities. I also used to have panic attacks and couldn’t control my thoughts. But Dr. Habermas has a very good book on doubt free on his website based on biblical truths. Always go to prayer because it helps and God is faithful. The Enemy is committed at his job being a liar and deceiver and that’s what he does best. That’s why the Bible always urges us to always be vigilant. Getting away from sin also is important. Read the Bible and God’s promises. Any questions you have search for an answer. And don’t believe the Enemy ‘s lies. He uses the same strategy with people and we sadly fall for it. Let’s not underestimate him. God bless you!
@@dco8886 thank you I already have conquered my doubts tho I stopped giving them attention and they just went away.
Also, never let anyone tell you that anxiety attacks are an indication that you are somehow possessed by evil spirits or otherwise not good enough. I heard people in my family say that and believed it and then the anxiety attacks were even scarier. I do recall being your age when they became increasingly worse. Remember that you have a lot of extra hormones working themselves out in your early teens which can add fuel to the anxiety fire.

Please pray for me brothers and sisters. I am dealing with this problem
Lost a young online friend 37 to cancer (has 2 daughters) She was super Christian and her Faith was unflappable and unwavering. She got cancer last year, beat it, got it again in May and apparently beat it and praised god and even wrote a book about beating it and being healed but suddenly died last Friday with a blood clot. Died In her sleep. It’s incredible sad and i wish I had 0 doubt that she’s now happy as well as my recently deceased aunt and uncles.

@@rios39 The story goes that some monks on Mount Athos who were old and still healthy sometimes aked God why He had forgotten them. Meaning that through pain and faith they would achieve salvation, that this life is not meant to be the one where everything is perfect. Just imagine all the kids who have suffered horrible and rare diseases and passed. They are surely saints, and an example for us all, to learn what we must. We ask “why” and forget the promises made to us. Take my sayings with a grain of salt and search for yourself. Have a great day!
I’m grateful to God to give us people like Dr. Habermas. And other apologists. Having so much years of experience with doubters, he gets it right. Reading his book on doubts made me understand so many things. Specially how the Enemy uses the same lies over and over. All over the world. He’s after our faith relentlessly. We can’t underestimate him! 🗡🛡
Doubt is good. It's people that want to know everything about tomorrow. As you could live 10 lifetimes. Not even scratch all the knowledge of the world. As just to many books.
How did I get over it? I got tired of being sick and tired. Ask God I want it all to nothing. As all this coming to the alter 50 times a year. Ain't cutting it. I can tell you this. When that Holy Spirit hits you. You will never be the same.. You know, that you know you meet God!
The Lord can bring good from doubt, but doubt itself is not always good.
This helped me greatly. Praise be to God. I have OCD and a lot of emotional doubts

The best answer is always prayer.

At the other side when you are lost into outer darkness, you will then realize that you had made a poor bargain while upon the face of the dust. How much is your soul really worth? How much for your soul says the impatient Collector, Lucifer.
BELIEVE in Jesus and Be Saved today, lest you repent 1 second too late in Hell where the fire rages. Believe in Jesus today, you don't know how much time you've got left❤

Look at the Glory of Jesus that was put on display on the cross.
Once you see this Glory you'll never doubt emotionally or factually.
Luke 23:39-44 the condemnation is in Deuteronomy 21:22-23

Galatians 3:13 isn't everyone cursed
Jesus says in Luke 23:43 He promises us Paradise even though we're all cursed by G-D the Father. Verse 44 the sun goes out as G-D the Father breaks His curse to save the Son and thereby saving us along with the Son.
The ressurection now serves as a punctuation mark to prove and emphasize what happened on the cross when the promise was made.
How can you doubt a Salvation so great?
So, all these answers are found in God's Word. Keep our eyes on Christ and not on the things of this world. Keep our attention/heart/thoughts on what God says is important and not on what the world says are important. Also keep in mind who we are in Christ. The One who is all powerful. all knowing and ever present. The One who never changes. The One who loves His children at All times because we are covered by Jesus always.
Speaking as a Catholic revert who previously got embroiled in all sorts of new age teaching and practise, and got in a mess, this talk is verging on new-age “psychology” imho. It’s about the self helping the self. Me, myself and I. If/when you doubt, if/when you’re suffering ask Jesus in your own words for help, to reveal Himself in your heat and your life. That’s m *all* you ever need to do.
This series you made has helped me so much. I have been stuck in my pain and insecurities for so long. What you gave here was answers, not just someone saying I need to pray more or I’m lacking.

I've ask God to save me at lest once a week for over 50 years. I'm sure I'll go to the grave asking God to save me. What happens after the grave is a mystery.

Hell is eternal, but nobody’s stay there is. There are many verses pointing both ways, so one verse alone doesnt solve it. There has to be, and is, a view that contradicts no verses.
I love Gary but why should it require cognitive behavior therapy to have reassurance we are saved? Shouldn’t Jesus be able to do that so we can know for sure?
Whats the difference between this and the work of the Holy Spirit? If an atheist can do this same thing and produce the same fruit, how do we explain this?
An atheist can controll their feelings, I think that was the point(?)
To be fair, Habermas talked a lot about things believers can do practically to help with their doubt. So, that would be something mere humans are doing, not necessarily the Spirit. Although, I think the Spirit would help believers sort out their doubts.
