This guy is 66 years old and still has sharper mind than most of the 20s years old ppl out there. Bought Algorand based on my reading of how good the project is but after hearing the guy behind it i am absolutely bullish with algo now.
Seeing how they handled previous dips, you know this guy ain't about to rug pull, and just as a user. The speed of transactions/fees, are so good, I'd love to see mass adoption for Algo in the defi space.

Good observation, I think that’s a pattern I can agree with. All of the talks have a gradual flow where it grows in interest in value as it goes.

I've been adding algorand since the beginning of 2020. It not too late to buy in, it's the future and a great investment, the 6% apy is a nice cushion and incentive as well. I highly recommend everyone to buy at least some.

You know what makes me happy about that guy? He doesn't have to constantly hype up Algorand and how it's the next big thing.
He's extremely knowledgeable and insightful about the blockchain technology as a whole and he wants to build on making it better. Clearly excites me about the Algo project
I love this guy he is so cultured and knowledgable and despite the challenges of learning and speaking in a foriegn language he did not allow it to limit himself. He is brilliantly amazing. His emotional intelligence is something to be spoken for. Not to make comparisons but vitalik is like a robot and satoshi is a ghost, who do you want to guide you into the next phase of existence. Me I want to be guided with love and understanding. Long Algorand.
His ability to explain complex topics in a simple way in a second language is incredible tbh

This is the first video I've seen from Lex, and I have to admit I loved this interview. I came here expecting to hear only technical terms and all technology talk, but this was beyond my imagination. Loved how you lead the conservation into more philosophical questions. Just made the the whole blockchain topic interesting when combined with other elements of life. And also made you guys look more reliable when allowed yourself to have a causal conservation and enoying the momentum.
I'm glad you are researching cryptocurrency Lex. It takes you down a rabbit hole that will teach you about real world economics and the current banking system we have. It's sad that main media succeeded in making everyone ignorant on the topic think of it as a scam.
Silvio has a ton of very interesting ideas and deep insights. He so often says "I am just a cryptographer", but he is much more.

Such an amazing practical concept. More amazing is the fact it has been already built and ALGO can now make transactions in a few seconds at a fraction of the cost of any competing algorithmic system, e.g. Cardano.

Been listening to your podcasts exclusively via audio only; found this RUclips page today. I appreciate your DLT & cryptocurrency episodes; timely, useful. My work is on DLT use cases outside of the FINTECH domain. Meanwhile, thanks for your work.
The way he explained the blockchain and who will control the pages was brilliant. This is what the people outside of crypto have yet to realize. But it will hit them over the head soon. Australia central bank is coming into Algorand. Algorand also now has a total gold backing on its blockchain in their Meld. I find this a truly compelling investment opportunity.

Lex, I am no genius like you or many of your guests - yet I love most of your interviews. Sometimes I have to jump around, so I appreciate how you break them all down. I'd like to just say one thing though: Your questions and lack of knowledge never makes you seem stupid. Sometimes it almost comes off as arrogance, but I also suspect you are just being hard on yourself. Take pleasure in the fact that you provide apes like me with powerful knowledge and relax! Great interview. Silvio is just so genuine, and the genius comes through in a very sincere and natural way.
Unlike many people in this industry, and another crypto founders who do very smart faces and some weird speech patterns to appear smarter and more qualified than they are, Silvio doesn't have the need to act unnaturally.
I was inspired by Silvio’s perspective on limitations. This gives me so much confidence and motivation to seek whatever I want to do despite limitations. This is true wisdom. Thank you Lex for another amazing interview.

10:00 I strongly recommend reading "on the origin of money" from carl menger. It is a more sophisticated explanation but the short version is what Silvio explains here, money originates as a commodity that everyone wants either for use or because they know htey can trade it easily (food, salt, then gold).
Excited to see silvio on your show! I've been a big supporter of Algorand for the last year or so. It IS the future and better than Bitcoin in every way! Get it now while it's CHEAP! And the 6% apy is a bonus!

i can't better than bitcoin cuz they are whole different things
no one would use a general purpose smart contract platform such as algo as store of value.
Algo is currency or gas of sort, like eth, ada, so on, utilize in processing smartcontract an governance of a network. Btc, is a commotity, a asset like gold.
that said , you can't actually says algorand is better than bitcoin like you can;t say gold is better than euro or cad
maybe you could says "algorand is better than ethereum" or "cardano" that would make some sense

What a brilliant spirit.
I feel like the conflict between decentralization compromising security and centralization compromising integrity in the early life of a project, is one of the biggest issues we face at the moment. Micali, seems like one of the few actively trying to navigate that dilemma. Wishing him and the teams the best of luck.
